Police arrest fiancé of missing Colorado mother: Sources

Investigators served an arrest warrant Friday morning for Patrick Frazee, the fiancé of missing Colorado mother Kelsey Berreth, who hasn't been seen in nearly one month, sources told ABC News.

Police believe Berreth, 29, is no longer alive, sources said.

Berreth, mother of a 1-year-old girl, was last seen on Thanksgiving in the area of her Woodland Park home.

Frazee, the baby's father, was seen in handcuffs Friday morning.

If they believe she is no longer alive, that means they don't have a body.

This will be interesting.

Just so sad to see this, even though I felt from the start PF would be arrested at some point. I don't think any of us at WS ever want to be 'right' about these things. I hope LE has the answers and evidence they need to convict swiftly.

Thoughts and prayers to Kelsey's baby girl, her family and friends. I cannot imagine the pain, but they seem like a strong faith based family and I hope this gives them some peace and comfort during all of this.

ITA. For the baby to have lost both parents and Kelsey's family their loved one is incredibly sad for all concerned.

While we all know the statistics, I had hoped it would be someone else. PF was a young man taking care of a mother who is reportedly disabled and who seemed to have the lion's share of infant care.

When his girlfriend became pregnant, he didn't run away but took on his responsibilities. We don't know how the care was handled, but if Kelsey worked 12-hour days, plus had a long drive each way . . . you do the math. Dad had the baby more than mom did. . . I wonder if some days did go by that he and the baby never heard from Kelsey.

He did exactly the right thing by lawyering up. He may not be very verbal and could have harmed himself no matter how he tried to help. He and his family knew from the beginning no matter what he did or said, he was the prime suspect. If no arrest was ever made and he was allowed to live out his life, it would always have been with a cloud of suspicion over him.

No matter how this plays out further, everyone has lost and life will never be the same for anyone involved.

ABC/GMA reported PF was in his truck trying to leave. LE ordered him out of his vehicle, and apprehended him. Gray haired woman also detained(??). She was not identified.

PF is a coward, and just like CW, he did not deserve a family. MOO

I do think it’s his mother being cuffed outside the vehicle in the middle. I hope that greatly increases the chances of KB’s family getting custody of the poor baby.

As a Live PD addict, I will say that even if she IS handcuffed, whoever it is could just be being "detained" as they sort out the details and search the vehicle/get PF into custody, etc. It doesn't necessarily mean they are under arrest. MOO.

Woodland Park Underground interviewed Kelsey's neighbor. The neighbor said Kelsey's mom visited her frequently. Where is the baby? She should be with Kelsey's mom!

That reporter was BUSY! Trying to get the shot, communicate with multiple people, etc. When he backed up, it looks like he and his cameraperson were the only other people on the scene.

CNN's @pvercammencnn reports: Kelsey Berreth's aunt claims Kelsey broke up with her fiance before just before she disappeared. Kelsey hasn't been seen since Nov. 22.

Well, I'm disappointed. I didn't think this old boy would resort to violence. It will be interesting to see the evidence unfold, now that police should share more of their hand.

If it was going to break, I'm glad it broke now. I've got lots to do between now and Christmas. LOTS. I really couldn't afford to be on here so much this week, but oh well.

This is very true. I should have extended that to also charged and convicted of something related to KB’s disappearance.
