Guys!!!!! That custody hearing WAS scheduled before she went missing! I thought so with the the different case numbers. The plot thickens. Sorry if repeated info, just saw the news here in Colo

I didn't hear that. I heard (.21 mark) that the court documents don't indicate who filed for the court hearing or when it was filed. ?

I don't see any reason for The State of Colorado and CPS to be involved if the child custody hearing was scheduled prior to Kelsey's disappearance. In addition, another poster here confirmed with the court system that the hearing was scheduled the same day the baby was taken into protective custody.

It was not the tweet that I was talking about, it was this YouTube that was posted that said the couple was expected to have a custody hearing.

Perhaps the confusion stems from the very beginning when law enforcement or was it just the media that said the last time she seen was " during a custody transfer"?

As sad as it seems, incarcerated parents do have parental rights. I know a family here in Iowa where mom murdered dad in the early 90’s while her two sons were toddlers. Life without parole. She was awarded visitation and dad’s family brought the kids to the prison regularly. I know that went on for years before I moved away and lost touch. It was pretty sad all the way around.

As a child gets older and understands I think it could cause confusion and maybe depression. I would solicit the courts to keep the child away from this entirely.

Police contacted Berreth’s fiancé, Patrick Frazee, who said Berreth dropped off their daughter at his home on Nov. 22. The last time he says he heard from her was Nov. 25 and their child is still in his custody, according to detectives.

So it would appear that who ever sent the text to kelseys mom,her work,and P got informed that she was noticed missing and a well fail check was ordered. Nov 25 then 1 week dec 2 missing person.

There was some inaccurate reporting from the beginning on this timeline. We have been using the timeline presented on the police flyer which indicates the check was on Dec. 2, and that it was then later discovered the phone had pinged in ID on the 25th.

Agreed. I think that was misleading. It just sounds like that was their headline, but in the actual reporting, she only said that they don't know when the hearing was scheduled or by who.

I agree that much progress has been made. I would never tolerate anything that even hinted at abuse. Yet I know several same age friends who have in fact been part of long term relationships that include many types of abuse, including physical.

Frazee told police he hadn’t seen Berreth since Nov. 22 when “they exchanged” their daughter, said De Young, who told a reporter they’d have to ask Frazee why he didn’t attend the press conference.

Since when does a man that is engaged, planning marriage say that “they exchanged” their daughter.

So it would appear that who ever sent the text to kelseys mom,her work,and P got informed that she was noticed missing and a well fail check was ordered. Nov 25 then 1 week dec 2 missing person.

Also, there was never a text from Kelsey's phone to her mother. Texts were sent from Kelsey's phone to PF and her work on November 25. Kelsey's mother called for a welfare check on December 2.

The status of KB and PF's relationship at that point has not yet been clarified or confirmed to the public, whether he was her fiance or whether they were no longer together but had an informal custody arrangement for the child. Anything that is coming out of PF's mouth about it should be taken with a grain of salt as I'm sure he has been spinning whatever story furthers his agenda and helps to cover his tracks.

If this is true, I wonder how no one picked up on it before. Reporters were digging into every aspect of PF and KB's lives...I can't believe they didn't do a docket search.

I find myself very frustrated that the local news, who is usually the best at getting correct information, is the one who is getting it wrong again and again and perhaps National media and long-term shows are going to pick up on the incorrect information. They had incorrect theories perhaps on what the custody hearing about was right after Christmas, and then Chris Halsne stated that the phone was found in Twin Falls Idaho.

I know many people here like to get on post that do disinformation, but how do we do that when the media does it? Do we call Chris at his media number of 303-566-7594 for to question him to clarify where this information came from? I see that someone up thread did a link to Sam's tweet where he did misinformation also.

The continuing misinformation is unusual because that usually just happens at the beginning of the case, but now it seems to be gaining traction and I hate for it to be seen in loal media, and especially the "quoting it forward " to National and International media incorrectly.

The location of her phone was determined from the ping on 11/25 as far as we know. There were two texts from her phone on the same day, not three. One was to PF and the other was to her employer, to inform them that she would not be at work the following week.
