Did he take her, drop her off. My Dad did that, hated going in.

Now there is an idea and could be quite possible. If only we had access to the security video of her leaving the store.

Oops to edit,,,,if that was the case I think she would have left the baby with PF in the vehicles so scratch that for me.

Yes but if she walked, she would have put the baby in a stroller or backpack-type carrier.
She wouldn't lug the baby carrier w/ one arm to Safeway and carry groceries too on the way back.

I've read that she lived 5 minutes from the Safeway, so it seemed possible that she walked - especially if she did not buy a lot of groceries.

Either way, if she drove, then she parked minutes after leaving the Safeway at 12:27 and then he parked behind her vehicles.

I see blankets on babies in grocery store carts, heck im usually cold in them.

Looking at photo, they show her coming in 12:27, not leaving, time ? (Le) knows.

That pushes her getting back close to 1:00.

Upper left corner, arrival at 12:05. We've been told that departure was at 12:27.

otto to walk from her home is much longer than 5 minutes.

Actually with traffic and lights I would say by car longer than 5 minutes also.

Jmo I don’t think he was on the schedule to have K that day, I think that is b.s.

If she was driving, why didn't she leave the blanket in the car? She has a child carrier, which probably locks into a carseat base, but many people use the carrier portion for all sorts of things, including propping up a baby for meals.

Because it was cold? Isn't she wearing a jacket? Babies don't (or, at least, shouldn't) wear coats/jackets in a car seat.

A baby carrier can be heavy, and that’s without a baby.

Walking any distance with a baby inside, would be a bit of a slog.

Had she walked, law enforcement would have certainly put that information out there, especially if they were exploring the theory that she was followed.

We’re going backwards here.

Dont scratch the idea! It was said that CB and KB were "attached at the hip". No reason why she might want to bring her daughter inside!

Maybe PF had invited his GF to Thanksgiving with his family and was going to show off
his baby (and oh what a doting dad he is) but Kelsey had told him that he couldn't have the baby on Thanksgiving and that's when PF started looking for a hit man.

Why would KB tell her mom she was going out to dinner with PF and baby? She had 4 days off. If she and PF were no longer together and she didn't want PF to see baby for the holiday, I would think she would be taking Baby K to go visit her family on the long weekend. She wouldn't be home leisurely baking cinnamon rolls for breakfast, talking to her mom like everything was normal, discussing her plans for dinner with PF, asking for a recipe and then going to the grocery store. MOO.

I'm good with Kelsey driving to the Safeway. That means that the red truck pulled up shortly after she arrived home and blocked her cars from leaving.

So glad her parents got custody !!!!!

Perhaps PF is keeping quiet, wondering what evidence LE do have: on advice from his lawyers.
Has someone snitched (PF's word against snitcher), evidence at KB's home but how does it relate to PF, are phone records incriminating, ? any evidence PF is involved in Kelsey's disappearance????
Answers to these questions, would indicate, at this stage, whether evidence against PF is strong.
MOO.

He certainly does not want to be caught in a lie.

Nope I am scratching, why go through all that lugging, unsecuring, securing blah blah when you are only in the store for 20 minutes. Nah,,,I believe she drove there.

The time stamp on the arrival video is 12:05. She was seen leaving the store at 12:27 but LE did not release that exit video.

I don't think she walked but it would only take about 5 minutes to drive from the store. PF's truck was not seen right at 12:30. It was reportedly noticed there sometime between 12:30 and 1 PM when the neighbor left her own home to go to her holiday gathering. And it was parked behind KB's vehicles blocking them in. So his truck must have arrived just after she returned from the store. We don't know the exact time PF arrived there nor how long the truck stayed there. JMO.
Wait! The neighbor was scheduled to leave for a holiday gathering at about the same time PF arrived? Did he know her plans? Had he asked her on a previous visit? She said she saw him often.

I like that idea. She had just done some baking and was picking up groceries - it always struck me as odd that she was doing regular day to day things moments before her daughter was picked up rather than packing and preparing her daughter for a long visit with PF.

She returned home with groceries at about the same time that the red truck was seen parked at her house. It could have been an unplanned visit that escalated to murder.

Your post got me wondering....and sadly only KB may know the answer, but was there a usual bag that KB packed for the baby when she was going to be staying with PF? Was that bag still at her house? (He may have missed packing things up for baby as a small detail). I’d be interested in which of them bought baby supplies more, diapers, etc. Just a thought that if he suddenly bought those items the day after Thanksgiving would be an indicator he knew KB would not be around anytime soon to buy them.

So...if it weren't for the cinnamon rolls, nobody would actually know if KB was coming from "someone" else's home after staying the night...hadn't done hair or makeup yet...stopped by Safeway...PF was mad thinking she had been cheating. All of that is highly doubtful but it shows those dang cinnamon rolls sure did turn out to be important in some way. JMO

She also talked on the phone to her mom twice that morning.

Have we ruled out the possibility that PF drove KB to the store that day? (I don't know where I'm headed with this, but chances are I'll figure a way to fit it in to support some theory that includes dog fighting, drugs , or illegal 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬). /snipped

Haha, that made me laugh.

Do not be deterred!

.
Yesterday, there were numerous comments about the custody hearing having been scheduled a month ago. I'm curious to learn more about this. Maybe this relates to an application between Kelsey's parents and PF directly after Kelsey disappeared?

I also take into consideration that Kelsey may have been reluctant to share information about her deteriorating personal situation. Her family says that they were still hanging out, getting a Christmas tree together, going out for dinner, but the reality is that he was planning to murder her.

I think KB did not want to upset her parents nor make them anxious about her, hence she probably did not tell them everything about her deteriorating personal situation.

Alternatively, she may have not noticed some obvious signs of the relationship going downhill because she was so tired from driving to her work and back. I knew it took her over 1 hr each way, but never realized it was close to 2 hours each way. When one spends 4 hours a day commuting, plus work, plus a young child, plus having given birth just a year ago, one must be exhausted - even if one is young and healthy. This might explain a lot.

Thank you! I'm going to take your word for it.

Yesterday afternoon, as the information about the temporary custody decision was discussed, there were comments that the hearing was booked a month ago and Kelsey's name was or was not included. That is where my questions and confusion comes from.

The only way I can see that that would be possible is if in CO, child support and/or parentage "paternity" cases are confidential, (parentage cases are confidential in CA but not if filed as a child support case, inexplicably), so we can't see what was filed in the docket, but somehow, a hearing was allowed to be shown on the docket. It doesn't make much sense to me though.

However, in CA, juvenile dependency cases (where a child is taken into protective custody by the state due to abuse, neglect or parental incapacity), are totally confidential, with not even hearings shown on a public docket. So it's odd.

The fact that Kelsey is named as a party to the case does not mean it was a case she filed or responded to. The parents would be listed in a dependency or guardianship cases even if deceased.

The fact that it is filed as JV case (which is what juvenile dependency cases are filed as) is telling. Child support and parentage cases can be filed as JV cases as well, though. But I'm not sure if it is less common than filing them as DR (domestic relations) cases, which is what divorce, parentage and support cases are filed under. I think child guardianships in CO as well.

But most telling is the timing. The hearing on temporary placement was held three court days after the child was taken by the state. The child was taken into protective services on 12-21-18, when he was arrested. The next two days were weekend days. Then came the 24th. The 25th was a holiday. The hearing was on the 27th. Which was the third court day after the child was taken into protective custody and thus in keeping with the dependency court timeline in which children taken into protective custody by the state must have a hearing as to temporary custody within 72 BUSINESS hours (which should not include holidays or weekends): https://www.aspenpointe.org/docs/de...dependency-neglect-cases.pdf?sfvrsn=4680de6_0
