The only thing about this that has me doubting the veracity is that there are reports from neighbors that CB visited often. I just don’t think KB and PF would be able to fake a “loving relationship”, as CB described. I truly think the break up and switching custody stories were lies coming from PF to account for why he never reported her missing.
Did you mean CB visited often or PF?

Precisely. I also think we're giving him too much credit for NOT killing Baby K! I think perhaps because of the horror of CW's case, it's like "phew, well at least this one let the baby live..." but the reality is, there is Josh Powell and that's all you have to know. Thank God this wasn't allowed to potentially get there.

Exactly. If he felt cornered with no way out, the baby would be in great danger.

Looking at the face of his mother, I was left with a bad feeling. He learned his behavior from someone.

I think I’d look about the same or worse if my kid murdered my future DIL. I’m not ready to judge her until some information comes to light warranting it, IMO.

Exactly. I think it’s quite probable that was the case here.

Extreme violence is a telltale sign of a crime being personal in nature.

This was certainly personal.
Several years back a co-worker of my husband was charged with murdering his ex-wife. Most would not believe he did it initially, although some weren't so sure. While at a social function with our friend and husband who is a lawyer we began talking about the rumour mill going on and I expressed that many at his work didn't believe he was capable of doing such a thing. I postulated to our attorney friend that she was dating and going to local pubs so maybe it was someone she brought home? His immediate response to me was, "You really have to hate someone to beat them to death as she was."
During the trial it became very evident that he did it. The day he was to testify (he was out on bail) he told his brother he would drive himself. He crossed the line with his SUV into the path of a tractor trailer. Case closed.

I don’t know why but every single time I assume he will be in prison forever a thought pops into my head, “Don’t forget the Casey Anthony case.” Anything can happen. Unfortunately.

CB visiting KB. I would think for CB to think their relationship was loving she would regularly not just see KB and baby K when she visited, but also PF would be there. If he wasn’t, I would think the relationship would be questioned more by KBs family. MOO

I have to admit I was a nervous wreck with concern over that baby while she was still in PF's custody. I really believe LE was too not to mention poor CB. :(

Did anyone ever determine where baby K was during the arrest? I would assume she was with PF and/or Momma F that morning.

I think some of us are giving him too much credit, what with elaborate plans and right to die drugs and all that. I think when all is said and done, it will be simple: he no longer wanted her around, but wanted the baby, but didn't want to pay child support to her or deal with her in general. So he thought, well I'll get rid of her, and get someone to do it, and what do you know? Thanksgiving - I'll be with family so they'll all be my alibi that I wasn't around when she vanished.

Except to get Baby K, he had to place himself at the home anyway, and I think he just wanted to get it done and over with, and took care of it himself. Perhaps the person he solicited has finally come forward and told what they know, and that's why their physical safety is important. PF is behind bars, but his family/friends/supporters aren't. In this situation, he is the only one responsible, the other person is not culpable, and the solicitation charge will stick as it.

In an alternate scenario, he came and took the baby, someone else came after and committed the crime and cleanup. Thus he thought he was home free and hence his smug demeanor. Maybe this person is now cooperating, and the solicitation charge will be dropped for a conspiracy charged if/when the person is charged with murder. I find this to be the less likely scenario though, as I just don't believe the actual murderer would not have been charged yet.

Ultimately, my opinion is that he asked someone and took a step towards it (solicitation), but the person did not go through with it, so he did it himself. He cleaned it up. Maybe in the bathroom. That's why a cursory search would not have yielded anything. Maybe search #2 involved luminol and taking apart the shower drain. Any significant amount of blood, or brain matter/tissue, would lead them to conclude she is no longer alive.

Bottom line, he's going down. Not a chance in hell he's going to get away with this, body or no body.

I agree with you. It's not that complicated.

The only thing I don't agree with is I don't think there's any way they've got someone else who killed her and is now cooperating who they've not arrested.

No way. They could not allow a murderer to be free even if they were cooperating, IMO.

It happens, but that isn’t the norm.

There is likely to be a plethora of evidence here, from digital records to forensic evidence.

We also have that third party that he solicited to kill her.

Those three things will be difficult to overcome.

I ain’t worried.

The actual crime was considered violent but he may have been soliciting help to avoid a violent death, if you know what I mean. I'm just throwing that out there. Are "right to die" drugs legal in Colorado and Idaho, do you know?

Not in Idaho.

Nooooooooooooooo! <I know it could happen but>

I agree with both of you. My point is he may have been soliciting someone to help with drugs to kill her but had no success in the end killed her in her house.

That's possible.

Bless them, navigating the most devastating and heartbreaking time in their life while dealing with their loss must be exhausting. I give them grace and send up prayers. We can't fix this for them as much as we would like - all well meaning people. - SAD!

CB was there to visit recently as evidenced by the fall photos of her with Kelsey and Baby K*. Baby K is about the same size as when we saw PF carrying her out of the lawyer's office. Would KB and PF fake a loving relationship for Kelsey's family visiting them in person not long before Thanksgiving? I don't think they would. MOO.

Yes, you need to know what you are doing, and that's more than just searching Google to figure it out. First, you have to know how to navigate dark web correctly. Then, you have to find an area for this type of hiring, that is trustworthy. If you find one, usually they would want to be paid to offshore accounts/wires, which also means there are likely 5 times as many scammer hitmen out there compared to real ones. Then you have to know how to evade LE undercover "hitmen". I highly doubt he was capable of any of that. He asked someone he knew, or an acquaintance. Which then throws all "hitman" protocol out the window - helping to clean up, conceal the weapon, etc.

Doesn't this sound like a little too much work for PF? It certainly would be for me. o_O

You know, she was very measured when she said "loving." It was before he was a suspect. Possibly this was said to not tip PF off. I think deep down, they did not think this was a good relationship which may be why they bought a place for her to live.

At least there was a happy ending  Too dark?

Oh h*ll no! I'm right there with you! The first thing that popped into my mind was his backwards trip through a knot hole look yesterday and I thought......Naaaaahhhh.....

I know there is a lot of talk about PFs family members possibly being part of the problem, but I think it is at least a possibility that his mother felt the wrath of his temper on occasion. It just possibly may have been an elder abuse situation at his own home as well. Just a thought.
IMO
