"Berreth was a regular customer at Paradise Spirits, a liquor store next door to Safeway, said owner Lon Rust.

She would come in after work, in her flight suit, he said. Berreth worked as a flight instructor at Doss Aviation in Pueblo.

“We talked about her being a pilot,” he said. “She was just a real sweet girl, really friendly.”

When he saw news reports that she had gone missing, Rust said he was “shocked.”

“I thought, ‘I know that girl,’” he said."

Oh gosh, yes. I remember reading that!

im warming to the idea KB was moving on.

here is a woman who is a go-getter. she goes for it.
she has a fantastic career, she up ended her life and moved to be near her bf (PF) he knocks her up (could have been deliberate entrapment either way?) and quite often that's enough for any woman to handle. she could have easily just relied on him to take care of her and the baby and been a stay at home mum. no one would question that.
but she has a very young child she lives independently to him and she works huge hours to support herself.

if PF was any kind of a man he would have married her and been taking care of his family as a family unit. (unless of course he tried and she said no????)

living as her own bread winner and ultimately as a single mother I think KB grew as a woman and her needs have grown and changed as a woman. becoming a mum changes you.
waiting in the wings for her baby daddy to grow out of childhood has gotten old and quite spontaneously she has met and made a beautiful connection with someone she works with and is in the early stages of moving on.

who's not to say that the premed allegation wasn't actually a threat to KB directly ?
scare her into staying in the wings waiting for him?

if he thought she was spending thanks giving with a new beau that could tip him over the edge? blindsided him and his ego??

just my thoughts reading along with you all.

May be of no relevance here, but I noticed today that I went to send a text, (still had my phone on airplane mode by accident) that it didn’t actually send. Once I took it off and power cycled my phone the two text messages I had been trying to send two hours before FINALLY sent. It made me think, what if he typed those messages, immediately shut the phone off, and put it in someone’s luggage or car. They get to Idaho notice a phone that’s not theirs, power it on and the messages send. Now who “they” are and why the phone hasn’t been found is a whole new thought I’ve yet to fully brainstorm as to how this scenario could play out, but it definitely is plausible.

They probably also sell lottery tickets. So did he say what she bought daily?

I don't think Kelsey was a strict adherent to the Adventist faith as she's known to enjoy an alcoholic beverage.

I didn’t know this.
I’m always short on time & cant read every post. I scroll fast, reading a few here & there. Generally, I skip posts pertaining to religion as I don’t feel it has a thing to do with the crime. MOO. It’s just too personal for me to visit.

Seeing theories that KB may have met someone new, which is what triggered PF. IMO if KB had a new love interest he would have been speaking out when she first went missing, can’t see him staying in the shadows. Yes, LE would absolutely look into him as a suspect as well but if he was innocent I would think he’d step up and say something. Especially if KB had told him anything negative about PF. Again, purely MOO.
Nice point!

Actually I am not thinking of a dump. I don't even know if WP or Divide has its own dump as it might just be a transfer station so you put it there and it gets transferred to a regular dump. But I totally agree the needle in the haystack.
I do feel strongly that unless PF talks, which I seriously doubt he will, or if an accomplice talks the only other possible way of locating her is if one of the phones can give a clue as to her whereabouts. After that the only way I see her being located is somebody like a hiker, climber, backpacker or hunter stumbling upon her. Thinking logically I would think he would do what is most comfortable to him. He is obviously very comfortable around horses and riding them so my first guess would be he took a ride. He probably used a horse trailer to go less than 20 miles then took her out up to another 20 miles after that. Just speculation on my part as I think that would be the least risky and the most comfortable to him and very hard to locate a person doing that. The lazy way would be to just push the body of the side of a cliff on the road. Much of the road like CO 67, towards Cripple Creek has no shoulder so you can't stop in the road during the day as other cars would be coming and it is only a narrow 2 lane with no shoulder. But you could stop on the road at night long enough to do what you need to do then keep going. I am not talking about the places where there is a pullout on the side I am talking about the road when it is over 1000 feet straight down off the side of the road and there is no shoulder to pull over on. So if you stop there you are stopping in the actual lane of traffic. But I think he took a horse ride. MOO

You know way too much. Don't ever harm anyone or we will talk!

I think she left in a horse trailer, I’ve not considered he transported her on a horse. With rigor’ I think that’d be a bit tough??
Again, I think he’s confident she won’t be found.
When she is......we know the rest of the story, someone else killed her.

MOO
I was thinking he took her partway in the horse trailer from his property. But that would have to be on a road. Then he finished taking her to a more remote location on the horse. Even if she was intact, which may or may not be the case as small as she was her body could fit in a large saddle bag. I think he used the trailer to a point then the horse after that. It is also possible he just used a horse (no trailer) from his place as many people around there are always riding horses around. And I am guessing he could go as far as 20 miles one way on a horse and return home. Maybe somebody familiar with horses could verify but I am sure a 20-30 mile round trip a horse could handle easy. The horse walking not running of course.

Daily? I didn't read anything about her buying something daily.

LE don't tell us everything.
im leaning towards a new love interest for KB could be up their sleeve?

Thanks!

There is some stipulation about required number of hours a pilot must wait to fly after drinking, correct?

But I think the house may not be in her name only. I think she put it in a trust that was in her parents names?
The Assessors records show the home is in her name only.

I would think and hope so, great question! I’d be curious what she bought and how often?

Well not necessarily the turkey whatever she went to Safeway for, has it been accounted for ? And has her engagement ring (IF) she had one where is it ? If it was found in PF truck or in SF house that ring will be a dirty rat.
Or if the ring existed, was it pawned up in Idaho or some other spot?

  • #319
Daily? I didn't read anything about her buying something daily.
The liquor store guy was simply promoting his liquor store with the easiest way possible.

Yeah I know her. She comes in here everyday. :(

If found in PF's truck, oh yes! If found at his home, oh yes!! If found at KB's home, not so much. We women often take off our rings to wash dishes, floors, whatever. Again, that's IF there was one.
