Absolutely. That’s where I’m at.

I think this third party would have to be exceptionally close to the perpetrator.

More than just a friend.

Like a family member, for example?

Mods - is it permitted to link to a Daily Mail article that quotes the LE presser this afternoon?

  • #383
Wow, I somehow screwed that up and made it look like @MassGuy said all that! I’m so sorry. From “hypothetically” on was my own opinion and speculation.

Update: I figured out how to fix it. Sorry, y’all.

During the presser, were CBI and FBI agents there? I don't recall them even speaking of CDI or FBI or other investigative organizations joining their small Department.

I remember in the Watts case they said within two to three days there were 50 people on the case. And that Community had a small Department also with only one Detective.

They certainly have called in the right organizations (CBI and FBI).

They have people who are experts at this sort of thing, aiding the investigation.

The thing that really hurts them, is that so much time passed between her disappearance and the serious involvement of LE here.

They are at a disadvantage because of this.

I agree.

I hope FBI agent Tammy is giving the fiance a polygraph at this moment.

She will get to the bottom of what is true and what is not. :D

Woodland Park residence bought 5/14/18.

Perhaps she moved to Woodland Park to be closer to work? How long has she worked at Doss?

What is the commute like from Woodland Park to Colorado Springs?

That's a somewhat recent house purchase.
I'm interested in what her finances were like and the timing of this house purchase.
Did she have the money to buy a house on her own?
Or was this going to be the house she and her fiance shared after they got married?
It seems unusual to buy a house on your own if you are planning to be married soon and not planning to live there after that. Unless money is no issue or you have other reasons like investment purposes...
She has lived in CO since 2016, where did she live prior to 5/14/18?

Perhaps her family has money. Not that it makes any difference.
I checked Teller County property records and Kelsey does own the house.

KB purchased a small 2br/1bath townhome in May 2018 (and mortgage likely less than rent in the area). Townhome is located about 70 miles from Pueblo, and lengthy commute for one with young child. We know her Employer is based in Pueblo, but it's not clear to me if she actually works in Pueblo or if she works at municipal airport(s) closer to home.

Did baby dad look after child during week or other daycare provider? Curious how much time baby spent with dad prior to KB missing....

Haaa I figured it out.

Yeah, it does seem weird to go through all that effort, just to act so suspiciously that you end up pointing the finger at yourself regardless.

I do not think this is a setup or some type of “gone girl” scenario.

I still think that if this is foul play, the answer is glaring.

She is absolute nails.

He’s lawyered up apparently, so this case isn’t going to be solved with her interview brilliance though.

That’s a shame.:(

Hypothetically, if the person some are speculating could be involved actually was, would he set the scene as him being the last person to see her? That’s just anti-alaibi 101 I’d think.. then after that how could this indidvidual think it’s a good plan to transport her phone to IDaho <modsnip - sleuthing family>? That’s a dummy move, no? Then to not show up at the presser raising even more speculation.. it seems like he wants to get caught if that’s all the case. Maybe it’s someone setting him up, or maybe a gone girl scenario. Anything is possible. If our websleuths (jaded) instincts prove to be right... worst. criminal. ever.
He had to have an explanation why he had the baby when she was seen at Safeway with her just hours before.

Hell, the more we dig into any aspect of this case, the more questions we have.

The more we learn, the less we seem to know.

Quite the paradox.
The most telling thing to me is that LE doesn't believe there is a danger to the community. So that implies she left willingly on her own to get away from everything (but....her daughter?); left willingly with an unscrupulous person who is isn't being forthright; or someone or someones very close and personal to her is/are involved - against her will. I wonder what her closest friends or coworkers or family think or suspect happened.

Likely not a random stranger abduction based on lack of concern from LE regarding risk to the community, fiance not making public pleas, and very, very deliberate limited information released by law enforcement.

I wish there was more information from LE about the case.

In some cases, but not all, when LE does not say much, it is because they are working on a suspect already. I have a feeling, unfortunately, the hardest part in this case will be finding Kelsey...not zeroing in on a suspect. Already it is far too long to have “gone away for a while”. No one could expect to still have a job, etc, plus I would guess that her December bills have not been paid yet, though we don’t know. And most people, especially young people, do not have loads of stashed cash to finance a secret getaway.

IMO the lack of urgency to find her out of the gate and the fact they have no reward indicates to me they have a good idea of what happened, the presser yesterday may have been to apply pressure. No reward, no updates, one presser with a plea for news isn't like the normal missing person case.

On another note, if the mother of my child disappeared I would be front and center seeking answers and looking, supporting LE and her family in any way I could.

Not a mod, but yes The Daily Mail is an approved source.

I thought the lady in green was from the CBI. I could be wrong. MOO

Generally, I ignore the standard “no danger to the public” statement.

They said the same thing in the Mollie Tibbetts case, and several other recent ones.

I can think of a few where this was simply not true, as the perpetrator was still out there, and still dangerous.

I do believe they are correct here, but that isn’t based on those particular words.

I too would like to know what people close to her believe happened.

Help me out. Why is this significant?

Type slowly so I can follow. :)

Flying 7 is a family owned mortgage business located in Wa State, and I don't find it relevant. KB purchased a "starter" townhome in Colorado that was very affordable. MOO

Not giving me a warm fuzzy feeling. :(

"It was not until December 2, however, that police searched her home after her mother reported her missing - Patrick did not.

It remains unclear when Kelsey, who is a flight instructor, was meant to collect her daughter from Patrick's home or what the text he received from her said.

He has not made any public appeals for information which could lead to finding her, and his absence was glaring at Monday's press conference.

Asked why he was not there, Miles De Young, Woodland Park Police Chief told one reporter: 'You'd have to ask him.'

Later, he refused to name him as a suspect, saying: 'At this point, he is the father of Kelsey's daughter.'"

I know, I saw that he was filmed leaving an attorney's office after I posted.

So probably no Tammy and Grahm drilling him for hours. :(

They said he was cooperating at the last presser.

I wonder if that statement will change at the next update?
