Options would have been limited for sure in a small town.

Woodland Park is a City of 7,500 residents, with about 25,000 in the county, and it is only 30 minutes to Colorado Springs, a city of 465,000. We're not in the boondocks.

:-D

Do we know how far apart they lived from each other? Maybe because of her job she couldn't live with him, jmo
15 miles, I think.

Mother of Kelsey Berreth asked about the relationship between and her daughter and her fiancé

In my opinion, this explains the house KB bought, which would be considered a great little house in CA, especially for a family with a young child or even young children. It is big enough, but not that big...however, it does allude to financial concerns. KB's mom seems optimistic about the relationship, which makes this strange disappearance even sadder.

I know when my kids were toddlers, I would never leave them overnight....this is so sad and odd.
Fiance says he will continue to cooperate with LE and will continue raising their daughter...but doesn't mention he will continue to look for Kelsey, continue to ask the public to look for Kelsey, continue to thank Kelsey's mom for her efforts to find Kelsey, continue to thank people for their well wishes, continue to ask Kelsey to please come home, continue to hope their daughter will be reunited with her mommy.

I totally understand not wanting to be scrutinized. Nobody wants that for themselves! I'm sure Kelsey's mom doesn't want to do interviews and press conferences either. Why is he so completely silent....since Nov 22?

This has been my theory all along. Coworker flew to Idaho

I couldn’t agree more. The fiancé is hinky as all get out, but I’m not sure it’s not an intentional distraction by LE. I just can’t imagine that if they really thought he had something to do with this they wouldn’t find a WAY to get that child out of his custody. Maybe I’m naive.

Co worker comes by, can you help with this issue real quick? She grabs her purse and heads out the door never to be seen again.

AND the part that gets me about the fiancé; if he’s sending these text to buy time, WHY not text the mother? He knows she will be the first one looking. Seems like a stupid mistake in an otherwise complicated “coverup”, if that’s what it was.

This is a very crucial bit of info isnt it?

'It could just be a false ping, or it could be the actual last location for the activity of that phone,' Woodland Park police Commander Chris Adams told KEPR-TV."

I've been googling the "false ping" idea. Commander Adams seems to imply it could be a random ping from her phone that somehow ends up in Idaho. There's no such data to support that concept. Maybe a cell guru can help explain what Adams is referring to.

She lives an hour from Pueblo (her job's location) and about 15 minutes from Patrick's mom's house.

I agree. PF needs to get ahead of this if he is in fact innocent. Kelsey's mom was interviewed this evening on the local NBC station. I could not find a link to share. She said they were "loving" and that they did not live together or get married yet due to economics. I don't get why he could not live at her duplex or why she could not live with PF and his mom, but we just do not know.

Agreed re. the bolded bit.
If it's at all possible that Kelsey is capable of suicide... he needs to let the authorities know she could be a danger to herself. :(

I'm not reading too much into the fact that her mom described their relationship as "loving" .... Lacey Peterson's mom spoke well of Scott at first.
But some people don't react the way we think they should... so maybe PF is just one of those people -- slower to react ?
Has Kelsey ever just left for a bit before , and he just waited it out--- w/o contacting anyone ? ?
Like after an argument and she needed to cool off ?

I would so like this to end well !!!

This confuses me as well. Why were they not together for Thanksgiving? And if they were going to go to or have dinner together later (as her mother has reportedly said) why the hand off of the baby? Unfortunately I don't think we can totally rely on the "facts" that have reported. Some of the reporting appears to be rather sloppy
Initially, I wanted to believe that KB planned on baking, and after picking up the ingredients for her cinnamon rolls, sent daughter off with Dad and would join them later. By all known accounts, the Thanksgiving reunion meal didn't happen. Unless there were previous periods of no contact, It doesn't follow that KB would go without contact and/or seeing her child for 3 or 13 days. I'm concerned that if postpartum is an issue, KB may hesitate to seek treatment in fear of damaging her aviation career. Also hope KB was not isolated in Teller County without confidants. It's just as concerning that Cheryl B (Grandmother) was in Colorado and reportedly had not been able to see her Grandchild. We know nothing about PF but truly hope this is not representative of a controlling, isolating environment for KB and child. MOO

A Verizon spokesperson said that the ping would be accurate within one mile.

New information released on case of missing mother whose phone was last pinged in Idaho

I get why she wouldn’t want to live with him at his moms if that is really true but they could have lived at her place if they wanted to be together all the time IMO - we haven’t heard a word from his family at all
Emph. mine

It would be nice to hear from them.
I'm wondering about her relationship to his family....was it amicable ?
Since she lived close to PF's mother....did the grandma help watch the baby ?

Sorry if I'm getting vibes of Summer Inman here...

If she left with a co-worker, why would her fiance be so casual about her being gone for so long? It's like he didn't even care she wasn't returning home. "Oh well, she's gone. Guess I'll raise the kid by myself," seems to be his attitude.

Just to touch about the lack of a text to her mother.

Hypothetically, say that Kelsey’s phone sent a text to her mother. Her mother’s first response is going to be to call her fiancé.

If she calls Kelsey’s fiancé, and he is unable to answer for some reason, that presents a much bigger problem than not sending a text at all.

I’m not saying that’s what happened, just that it may be something to keep in mind.

Jeez crimony this case has got to be one of the worst for inaccurate reporting.

Also - her mom would be much more likely to know than an employer if the phrasing used in the text wasn't the way kelsey usually texted

Yup. We’ve seen that mistake made many times in the past.

People have a unique way of speaking and texting, a mother would know right away if something was off.

Me too, but it has been 3 weeks so I am fearful that it will not. She is a beautiful young woman. Perhaps a bit naive. She left with someone. Maybe a person who is a wolf in sheeps clothing who had a thing for her? The concerning thing is all of the mountains and wide open spaces...not much traffic, security cameras, etc. Hopefully LE has been able to access calls and texts from her phone. Maybe there is a coworker or neighbor. A transient. Someone bad who she befriended not knowing. Maybe she texted PF that she was going to see her grandmother. In Colorado, many people go missing in the foothills and mountains and die from a fall. It can take forever for a hiker to find remains.
