Hmmmm...gotta think about this. Maybe she is a nice person, helping LE. Not at all like CW girlfriend. Wow, I don’t even remember her name, which is a good thing.

No I would not think a girlfriend is a motive as he was not married. I do hope she had no involvement with the cell phone and the texts. I hope she doesn’t even live in Idaho. And if a gf exists, I am sure she wants anonymity.

I still wonder if he didn’t just take the cell phone to Idaho himself but if he did, how did the LE locate it? I think they did even though we don’t know for sure.
That’s the reason why I am leaning towards someone else bringing the phone to Idaho.

We know they served search warrants there, which would seem to indicate the involvement of a third party.

If the phone was found, it’s possible that it was found during those searches.

I do, on both accounts.

I’m not convinced that any girlfriend was the motive for the murder, or that she had any involvement, but I do think that one exists.
At least one. And who knows how many that THINK they are his girlfriend.

I don't agree. If ANYONE went back, there's more possibility for a neighbor seeing, or cameras catching them going back, or people just noticing them. And then why didn't they get rid of the rolls if they went back?!
I meant just not thinking about a possible SA being committed against Kelsey. :(

can you do a quick recap of the important facts of the last 2 threads? I've been busy with kids on vaca.

Finally caught up!

I don’t even know what to think at this point. I feel like when everything comes out there will be some real shockers.

I expected this to follow a more stereotypical pattern but solicitation? Robbery? Months of planning?

I’m struggling to wrap my head around all of it.

Was it the FBI that carried items out of the condo? I remember the FBI did search there. Tysm
FBI, CBI were photographed removing items. WPPD were there as well. Teller County may have been; not sure about that one.

I’ve followed many cases where the motive is speculative at best.

Juries like to know the “why,” we all do.

That’s not to say they won’t find the reason here, but if they don’t, they don’t.

As long as they can prove a murder occurred and PF committed it, then PF will be spending the rest of his days where he belongs.

Behind bars.

Well spouses kill each other all the time...there never is a good motive. And who knows if the ones juries settle on are even true...

For LE to have to return to KB’s townhouse a second time before finding evidence, does that indicate that PF did a pretty good job in the murder and removal of her body?

Also, he had to know how to clean up any “residue” there was for LE to totally miss that a murder had occurred in that house.

I don’t think a second search is unusual. Fresh eyes. Maybe info received after the first necessitated the second.
Idknif they had power tools the first search. Maybe they found something then & had to return to dismantle something. We don’t know what they carried out. I had considered they disassembled a piece of furniture, perhaps.

I think not, a lot of times. Nancy Grace could come up with some captivating ideas tho. IMO

I think she knew she was possibly in danger. Her mom (CB) seemed to know KB was dead even before she was reported missing.

Jmo we will never know what his motive was. We might hear what he told others (those he hired or tried to hire) but those won’t be true. So we will just have to wonder imo.

We may also never know if Kelsey knew anything at all or if she thought all was fine or fine-ish between them. Between her work and her baby, she may not have spent much time analyzing the relationship,as long as things worked out with the baby.
Jmo

nooooo, I just cannot think about more vileness :(
So I am wondering if he staged a robbery for a cover up or if he wanted something such as her phone from KB. If he was known for Patrick just being Patrick and a hot head I am thinking KB witnessed his actions more than once and possibly recorded a temper tantrum on her phone . Maybe she had told him she had proof he had threatened her . That would be something he needed to get his hands on especially when he started plotting to kill her and cover it up. May I ask why you think this? I don't follow any FB or Twitter accounts regarding these WB cases. I only know what I glean from MSM and some sleuthing.

So if investigators have to tear out walls etc. in KB apartment would that fall under consumptive ?
Edited for a weird typo

I THINK consumptive means the sample to be tested can’t stand up to chemicals used. That’s why there’s only one opp’ to test it. Iirc from this happening in other cases, the sample is “wet”. Which, makes no sense, considering how many days passed. Imo. Maybe a droplet of vomit? Something that has dna.

the planning is part of the enjoyment. the fantasy. After he got arrested, I found evidence of my ex setting me up and planning things for me from months earlier. I got very lucky that he got removed from the residence.

I've been leaning this way for a while.
it just boggles my mind to think of the lengths he went to commit this horrific crime.

The DA did mention that they are experiencing issues due to the number of agencies involved and the fact that the investigation is taking place over the holiday season. When the investigators are pursuing leads, not everyone is available and that has made it challenging for them. He can’t discuss any specifics, but it doesn’t seem to be due to the lack of quality evidence to me, just a product of the number of agencis involved and holiday season. MOO

You can hear him speak on it here at the 9:45 mark of this clip from today’s press conference:

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY.. Too many personnel taking PTO days that know how to process data (and that is OK!!) I am sorry, I, personally stem from 'old school mentality' in which , you want something done, you do it yourself.. Either he doesn't hold the knowledge to do this himself, or he doesn't hold the authority to get it done.
Not going to apologize for this..
This IS a matter of life and death..

Perhaps analogize this to the Christopher Watts case where we saw many hours of police going through the house and did not see anything, later to learn that they were all killed within the house.

We even saw when the defense team was called as to entering buy a neighbor, law enforcement went in and one of the defense team came down the stairs wearing those yellow glasses that folks on the crime shows where to see bodily fluids.

Missing Colorado Mom Kelsey Berreth’s Ex Charged With Murder-For-Hire Plot
The first charge states Frazee murdered Kelsey after deliberation and with intent, while the second suggests Kelsey died during the execution of a second crime. Court papers state that Frazee, and possibly another person or persons, allegedly tried to rob Kelsey before she died.

Prosecutors also allege Frazee tried to enlist someone to murder Kelsey on occasions between September and November of 2018, according to the documents.

Kelsey was killed on Thanksgiving Day, the court papers indicate, though few other details are available on what happened. Arrest affidavits in the case are sealed.

Days before Christmas, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young told reporters that investigators believe Frazee killed Kelsey at her townhouse. Kelsey is presumed dead, though her body hasn’t been found, he said.

“Our work is just beginning,” De Young told reporters. “You will be seeing a great deal of law enforcement activity in our community in the coming days and even weeks as we continue our relentless pursuit of justice for Kelsey and her family.”

De Young said cellphone records and other data led to Frazee’s arrest, as well as multiple searches of Kelsey’s and Frazee’s homes.

Asked whether cops could soon make additional arrests, De Young replied, “That’s an absolute possibility.”

Maybe the robbery wasn't done for staging? Perhaps he's being charged with robbery because they have evidence that he removed something from the home, something that would have been taken only by force. I'm guessing they found her purse.
