The problem is they have to know 100 percent for sure exactly what her role is before they offer immunity. There was a case in Ontario, Canada approx 15 yrs ago. Paul Bernardo and his wife Karla Holmolka. Google it. Two teens went missing separately. They kept them alive for awhile and then killed them. Karla got a reduced sentenced for turning on Paul. Said she was abused and battered and had to help him. Then they found videos showing how involved and how much she enjoyed it, and found out her role in killing her own sister. Some say she may have been the one that drove the killings because prior to meeting and marrying her he was a rapist but not a killer. The Canadian public was furious that they bungled her deal. She got out, her lawyers brother married her, moved out of the country for awhile, had kids. It makes me want to retch...

I remember that case, j-mac...it makes me feel sick to my stomach, too.
Talk about making a deal with the devil.
There was no way to unring that bell once the bargain was struck .
I agree with you 100% that they really must FULLY investigate this creature's involvement before offering any kind of deal for her testimony.
I'll also add that if the DA is certain they can make a compelling case without her cooperation, they need to go ahead and charge her to the fullest degree possible. Gift her with a shiny new pair of wraparound bracelets.
Steel is going to be in this year, I hear.

If she’s “involved”, hopefully she went to LE on her own accord way sooner than we realize. Then, second search of the house, etc. once someone told LE they had been solicited I would HOPE that prompted another search, stat.
I'm thinking at least a week before he got arrested. It is possible the texts messages pointed to her and they approached her. Or what happened terrified her and she wanted him locked up. Possibly he told her she was getting therapy and they needed to make her look missing. Or maybe she is evil, too.

Multiple sources have told ABC News Reporter Clayton Sandell that a 32-year-old Twin Falls, Idaho woman is being investigated for possibly disposing of a cell phone belonging to Kelsey Berreth, the missing Woodland Park mother.

If you "dispose" of a phone, you obviously know how, where, and when you did it.

There is a difference between destroying a phone, ie in a fire, or disposing of it "where no one would ever find it". Destroying a phone might take more effort than some would take.

A person might just dig a hole somewhere out of sight since effectively no could ever find it, since they wouldn't have any idea where to look. Maybe throw it in a river. Toss it in the trash.

If it is the latter, the 32 yr old woman has probably given up the location of the phone. I don't think it has been confirmed by MSM that LE has the phone, but I hope to hear soon that they do.

I wonder if he told her some ridiculous story and she fell for it. Or at least that's what she is telling LE.

Looks like some are says she disposed of the phone.

Interesting that PF's mother is a nurse too huh?

Maybe met through work with SF, and then met PF.
Bet this nurse now is sorry.

Im beginning to finally accept that PF really was a dumb criminal.

My goodness.

*Dont he know that LE always looks to significant others first

*Dont he know that LE always finds out about the flames on the side

*Dont he know that sending a fake texts to yourself and her boss would put you square in the sights of LE.

*Dont he know that LE will inspect her apartment with a fine tooth comb and find that needle in the haystack.

*Dont he know that all electronic trails eventually are tracked down.

*and on and on

Sheeesh. Some of the looks he gave during the courtroom video are turning out to be accurate.
If there was an award for Dumbest Criminal of the Year, PF would win it. MOO

So in earlier reports it’s been stated that KB’s phone was located in ID, perhaps LE does in fact have physical custody of the phone provided to them by the nurse.

If she did get mixed up with PF and took the phone to dispose of it I can only hope she did the right thing by turning it over to authorities. I think she’s talking.

Woman may have disposed of Kelsey Berreth's phone...disposed of....disposed of...disposed of....

IMO, if she "disposed of" the phone, she knew whose phone it was, and she knew exactly why PF wanted her to get rid of it. That shows consciousness of guilt. JMO.
If the phone was mailed to her, with, or without notice... say randomly picked by PF for location from public info... or with notice... say craigslist, fiver.com, etc. phone locked, and she couldn’t do anything with it after turning it on, and just threw it in the trash?

Yup, I guess it’s time to buckle in cuz I think this insane ride is about to get quite a bit more depraved and insane... :(

Well, we now know to just wait, after experiencing the Watts case.

I am thinking it possibly pinged like the little piggie, All The Way Home.

I think I remember someone saying Gooding, ID was very desolate and just like a rest stop area on the side of the interstate. Is it possible she turned the phone on there to kind of throw off the investigation, turned it back off, and dumped it in a trashcan? With the time that lapsed between the actual phone ping and the search for KB beginning, that phone could be long gone.

I don't remember LE saying the phone pinged anywhere other than Gooding, correct?

@jaspermac I remember the "Ken & Barbie Killers" AKA Paul and Karla Homolka. <modsnip - off topic> I hope Kelsey Berreth's case doesn't end up in a similar situation, if there's another person involved.

Completely MOO but I'm wondering if when KB met PF and moved fairly quickly to be near him..then got pregnant... perhaps her family was already on her for making rush decisions and then when she realized he was a loser and she ended relationship she wasn't quite ready to hear more from the family. Making bad decisions for love or lust happens and it's hard when you are blind to what everyone else sees. Then when you finally see it it's hard to admit to it. You're hurting and you don't want to hear it from everyone. I'm not sure sure if I call that lying...I sort of understand trying to keep her private life private. MOO
Totally this.

She is singing like a canary, IMHO, in exchange for leniency.

Yes. Why in the world would another woman do this? What's the old adage, when you date a married man, you're getting a man who cheats on his wife and someday that will be you. Well the same goes for a man who murders the mother of his children. When you date a man who murders the mother of his child, you're getting a man that murders the mother of his child and someday that could be you. It's shocking to me that a woman could be involved.
Maybe he sold her the same load of you know what that he sold KB or at least just a different version. People like him seem to have an instinct for finding people whom they can control.

I find such irony in the abstract style of the picture of PF and KB, used for her fb profile photo. Especially the way PF’s face appears masked.

(At least I’m assuming the pic is of KB and PF. Due to the nature of the graphics, I can’t be positive.)
