Well, somehow she had KB's phone and must have turned it on at some point.
Assuming another person wouldn't willingly send texts to another persons employer knowing that person was murdered, that leaves me with thinking PF fed her a load of horse manure.

When my brother died suddenly, I requested a friend to phone work for me, as I could not.
They did so.
I guess asking someone to send a text, giving them some feasible explanation, may have worked also.

Ok, so IF she was his GF, is love BLIND she would help cover up a murder without thinking twice about her consequences? Or maybe PF has something on HER, and threatened her to say “take this phone to ID or else I’ll tell something blah blah..” Guessing here of course

I can't even imagine what could get someone to do that, unless the too were warped.. Or easily manipulated and not too bright- ie story of an accident, lots of tears, life ruined, never be together unless we cover it up. It still would get my participation but maybe some girls fall for it..

Or they just slipped up - they were asked a question and answered it when they really should have said nothing at all. Most people aren't media savvy and when asked a question, they tend to answer, especially if taken off guard.

My guess is that is what happened. But it's a total guess.

Once the charges are filed, we'll have a name.

Absolutely, any good reporter will always get the scoop. For clarity, someone I know well was facing criminal charges and her family was content not to comment as advised. A reporter contacted the mom and said they had conflicting information (which was untrue as there was no conflicting information) and mom “ clarified” the information but really confirmed some private info. They can be tricky....but that’s their job....no insult to reporters intended.

I've thought of that. But what I'm really thinking is probably an online dating site where he knew he could kinda talk the nursing talk with her to pull her in.
We don't know the context of their relationship. They may have been friends who knew each other for years and were close. Either way, they must have some sort of strong bond for him to ask her to do this and her to follow through. Imo

Just my opinion but i think when it is a grey area, steer clear. It just seems like saying its MOO, is a way to get info over from other sites. I get how we want to discuss it, but there will be plenty of time for that and other things to discuss in the meantime

  • #666
We don't even know if KB was his girlfriend/fiancee. We have nothing confirmed about any of his current romantic relationships. I'm not even sure if KB's family knows that answer
I think we are saying the same thing. I agree with you. I just don’t like the sound of anyone destroying property belonging to someone else. One thing we CAN say we know for sure....KB and PF had a baby together. Right??

We just heard back from the DA's office, which is now handling public information requests for the investigation. They refuse to comment/confirm/deny that report, citing the sealed documents & ongoing investigation. #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee @KOAA

Why do we always feel sorry for the other woman in these cases? Is it fair if she tried to dispose of the phone? Or is it fair if she helped send those texts? So her heart is breaking. She is alive. Kelsey is not. I would feel the same if it was his sister instead of another woman. Whoever it is, is both dumb and guilty IF she indeed did those things.
This person doesn’t feel sorry for her. Hard hearted woman here.

I wondered the same thing. And it's crickets on the local community FB page. In a town that is generally notoriously gossipy, I find it strange. I unfollowed the page for a long time bc of all the dumb town drama and gossip.... anyway I also find it strange there is no search party organized, maybe bc they have a hard time knowing "where" to look... and there is so much open space... but there were searches for Kevin rudniki and Micah lambert...

Thank you for posting and helping those of us who aren't local understand the area. Information from locals and VIs can be very helpful and is very much appreciated!

Can you take my ex GF's or baby mama's cellphone to Idaho and send these texts for me? Uhh, why do you have her phone? What are you talking about?? Why isn't she asking me to do this? How about i talk to her first? Hey, I know I am not the most imaginative or creative person in the world so I will admit I can easily be missing how that works out but I don't see it..

Baby registry gifts pour in for Kelsey Berreth's daughter, Kaylee
The search for missing mother Kelsey Berreth continues and her one-year-old daughter is feeling support from mothers all over the country.

In addition to the monetary donations sent to a Wells Fargo funds, Kaylee is receiving gifts from an Amazon Registry.

It was started by one of the many Facebook groups that discuss the case and trial of Kelsey Berreth.

The gifts are being sent to the Moses Lake 7th Day Adventist Church. They are the same church that has held vigils for the Berreth family in the past.

Included in the registry are over 260 gifts like clothes, a car seat, and hygiene products for young ones. In under a week, people from across the country have purchased more than 200 items.

Ashley Smith, one of the contributors says, "we are mothers and we could not even imagine going through what Kaylee is going through... or their family."

It's likely everything Kaylee owned is stuck inside Kelsey's home in Woodland Park. FBI Evidence teams were seen taking many things out of the home in evidence bags and later sealed the door with tape.

I totally agree. I’ve been trying to come up with a scenario where a friend or SO could ask me to send some strange texts from a random phone or to destroy/dispose of a random phone where I would not at least ask why they wanted this done. I honestly can’t. Assuming a person who is an RN is at minimum, not dumb... it leads to only one other conclusion. Who knows, maybe I will be shocked and there will be a logical and non-nefarious reason for this woman’s alleged actions. But I doubt it.

Imo.
You said it best. Thank you.

All of this! But then where does this felony murder come in? You don't go on a trip to visit grandma after you have been murdered during an attempted robbery. Did he bungle up his plans so badly that he was running multiple different ops and couldn't decide which one he was going with. Did he start with Felony murder, not like it, get scared, clean up and go with plan B visit to grandma? The mind of a crazy person... (not insane, just crazy)
I don't think he ever intended to make it look like a robbery at all. His plan was to make believe she went to Idaho and something terrible happened on the way. He's charged with robbery because he took the purse and the phone. LE knows he had the phone, because he gave it to this woman. That connects him to the crime. Imo

I can’t imagine either... but from how this case is going, one thing is for sure, these people aren’t all with it. Mean, malicious people. Sickening..

I wonder how soon there will be more arrests, as I do believe there will be.

Prayers going up for her family if there are more than one.

As a non-verified person on a case that has three people that are up for murder on a case that had three perpetrators ( one guy in the murder is first-degree for robbery, the other two are second degree..its not a case that WS has a thread) ...

Anyhow...

Family has to go to every single damn one of the hearings for all three murderers...

Tomorrow is a status hearing...

It breaks my damn heart.

IT SUCKS.

My heart breaks... for Kelsey's family

We know that the phone pinged in ID on Nov. 25, and that two texts were sent from her phone on that same day.
We also know that it's about a 12-hour drive to Gooding, ID from Woodland Park, CO.
I'd bet that the texts were sent from ID, just because that makes more sense to me. MOO
Texts sent from Colorado mom's cellphone 3 days after she went missing
Interesting info quoted from court-qualified expert on cell phones and computers.

Cell phone data is key to cracking Berreth case, expert says

"Phones ping off towers in three main ways: voice, text and using data. Investigators are still trying to figure out how the phone got to Idaho, especially without reaching any of the other towers along the way."

IMO, I think “Idaho” was a love interest and she may have wanted KB out of the picture, so she and PF had discussions about it, but I’m guessing she did not take PF totally seriously about his “plan”. Giving her the benefit of the doubt...she went along with taking the phone and maybe she did not realize just how serious PF was about killing KB until he confirmed that it was done. At which point she maybe freaked out and reached out to LE.

That is the one thing that i have found so amazing and inspiring in all of this - the amazon registry and money. And that in the midst of all the squabbling, nonsense and drama that goes on, on certain sites- not this one- that some amazing good came out of it. Imagine that baby K not having any of her things- her favorite blanket, toy, anything of comfort on top of not having her mom. heart renching
