Really struggling to keep up lately- thanks to all for the tweets, articles, summaries, etc.!

I don't think he wanted to co-parent anymore.
Can you explain this more? I mean, to me, how does his life get better by killing her? As things stood he seemed to have the baby most of the time already. I assume he was paying at least his share of the expenses of K. He wasn’t living with KB.

So if he kills her, what changes?

I don’t believe drugs were involved. If he wanted to inject her, he would not needed help.
There’s a lot of ways he could have murdered K w/o help. He wanted K dead but feared getting caught, imo. He may have literally set someone up or at least got them in one hell of an awkward, life changing situation. If he did solicit, he got an innocent person involved in a murder. Moo
3 charges of solicitation- I think he got someone to do it.

IMO, PF not participating in any kind of news conference, or plea to find her, was the one smart thing he did. Perhaps he learned from CW, who was creepy as hell in his initial plea for his wife and kids, that he couldn’t pull off looking distressed or concerned. I think it is such a national news story because it’s in the same state as CW
Not too smart....he appeared to be a cold blooded jerk for not attending the press conference.

He wanted custody without her input?

In hindsight for me yes, in the beginning I thought perhaps he was just too distraught. We know better now

It seems very likely that Kelsey's mom did not know the true status of the relationship with PF. We had the one neighbor that said for the last year she had only seen PF come over to pick up the child. I think the only relationship was the exchange of their daughter.
I'm beginning to look at this angle as well. It's easier to hide problems when you're so far away from family. Did KB know about KK and if she did, when did she know? If this was the case, surely KB confided in someone. Did she have NO ONE to confide in? If she did confide in a close friend or coworker, I'm sure LE are getting a better picture of what her and PF's relationship was really all about even if CB didn't.

On the other hand, I wonder if KB could have been completely oblivious to what was going on behind her back yet pressuring him to move ahead with their plans. He knows he can't, for reasons obvious to us now, and realizes if he wants to keep baby K to himself and avoid a custody battle he needs to eliminate her and that's when the solicitation business started up all the while placating her with promises he has no intention of keeping.

I expressed in a previous post that when I look at the beautiful pics of KB, CB and the baby, I wonder where PF was. Did CB even see PF when she visited KB last? Did they go out for a meal together? How long did CB stay? Was her dad there too? Was KB on vacation while CB/DB visited or did CB babysit while KB and PF went out for a dinner? What else did they do? Did PF's absence give her any concern? It would be very easy for PF to make himself unavailable. I'm sure he had ample excuses given his work at the "ranchette" (love that), helping his mom, his work, helping a buddy, whatever.

Sorry if this is just a rehash. I hope it made some sense anyway. There's just so much in this case that doesn't sit right. And, it would be nice to have a few more crumbs to nibble on :)

I am unclear on the difference between solicitation and conspiracy. I thought solicitation means he asked and they refused, a conspiracy was that someone agreed. Legal experts, some help?

Maybe he wanted to move out of state....perhaps even somewhere like Idaho and he wasn't leaving little K behind? MOO

I did what? I never accused you of anything
ROTFL ... "Vandalism person" ; sorry, Vandalay Industries.

On a serious note... it's so infuriating that the Berreths' may never have any remains. Sickening.
Eta: Trying to be civil.

I've a difficult time believing the nurse friend is totally in the dark.

She'd known PF for several years (according to msm); and would've known his personality and what caused him concern.
Imo.

She also has made a 750 mile one-way trip to visit PF. And then return. Thats an 11+ hour trip one-way. Not a casual Thanksgiving Day visit.

No one has yet been able to claim she had family in the Florissant area. So I would start to surmise she did that to be with PF.

Knowing PF has a young child with another woman, and yet she is willing to carry a cell phone back to her home and {possibly} attempt to destroy it. The phone would obviously belong to another person, most likely the mother of PF's baby.

I dunno. I don't think she's that innocent.

I'm sure LE has her time off requests from her job. And the dates she requested this time off. As if, the time she and PF had been planning a rendezvous
Love makes you do some stupid things. Perhaps he was counting on that. MOO

Perhaps it was a change, or the prospect of change, that precipitated this in the first place.

If she wanted to move back to Washington for instance, that would certainly change things in regards to the current custody situation.

He may not have been receptive to this.

There has been no report of neighbor's seeing PF at her house during those 10 days- I am sure they interviewed all of them for that information, which is sealed. I wonder if they saw him there during those 10 days? That would be interesting to know.
We live pretty darn close to KB and havent been contacted. I dont know anyone nearby who has. Maybe they only contacted those who were in her alleyway??? Who could see her home from their homes?! I am very curious if they contacted the neighbor who lived in the 5th wheel in the alley. It seems he would have seen/heard someone, with the lack of space and insulation from noises

No. He wouldn’t leave his mother.

If you're open to a non-lawyer response, my basic understanding is that solicitation is when I ask "Joe" to murder someone for money, etc., and conspiracy is when "Joe" and I plan a murder together...

How do people know that KB was beaten prior to dying?

I wonder if LE has requested that everyone they talk to not talk about it, so as not to jeopardize the investigation... (?)

I think it might be more than just custody. He must have really hated her pretty immensely to do all that we have learned. IMO custody wouldn't create that much hate. MOO
