Yeah. In cases like this, there are frequently false alarms, ones that send social media abuzz.

We saw this in the Mollie Tibbetts case.

Are you saying a solicited third person gave the phone to KK? If so, that's been my theory. I think PF solicited a person to help him kill and dispose of KB, that person then sent the messages and destroyed or disposed of the phone. I've wondered if KK was in CO as people have stated, did she travel alone?

Yes, that's one of my theories, lol. I have several different scenarios running through my mind in regards to KK and Gooding
(ALL HYPOTHETICAL):

A. Perhaps PF gave KK the phone to dispose of in Idaho. KK may have thought she was smart to turn the phone on near a specific someone's house in Gooding so that if the ping was traced it would lead to that person and set that person up to take the heat.

OR

B. Perhaps PF gave KK the phone to dispose of and she had to go to this other person's home in Gooding before she returned to her home in Idado Falls anyway. Perhaps she thought as long as she was in Gooding and not near her home that would be a good place/good time to turn on the phone to ping before destroying it. Perhaps KK was not thinking through that the phone ping may be connected to her through a connection she has in Gooding.

OR

C. Perhaps KK wasn't the one who transported the phone but she found out about it via a connection she has in Gooding, Idaho. The person who transported the phone may be the one PF solicited and lives in Gooding and is also connected to KK. It is possible this connection asked KK to dispose of the phone. Or perhaps KK witnessed the phone being destroyed by the solicited party or was told about it being destroyed. In this scenario KK may have info about the phone and info about the person PF solicited but is otherwise innocent in any cover-up.

OR

D. I think it is also possible that turning on the phone to ping in Gooding was accidental on the part of whomever had the phone (either KK or another person who lives in Gooding). The text messages could have been sent earlier and the phone turned off long before reaching Gooding. Maybe a child (of KK and/or the solicited person) found the phone and turned it on out of curiosity. Maybe the plan was to travel down the road later in the week and send more text messages and stall for as long as possible. But perhaps as soon as the phone got turned on at a certain someone's house in Gooding they panicked and immediately destroyed the phone.

I know these possible scenarios are all over the place but the common factor in all my theories is that KK knows someone in Gooding-- either another more involved party or an innocent party and KK has knowledge of the phone on some level-- either she was involved with the destroying of the phone or has knowledge of who destroyed the phone. I think one of these adults-- either KK or this other hypothetical third party who lives in Gooding is cooperating with LE. MOO.

My gut instinct, tells me it’s not KB. It might be the pregnant woman from Pueblo. That truthfully makes more sense.

Human remains found near abandoned truck stop in Colorado
The remains were found about 20 miles north of Trinidad close to the town of Aguilar. They were discovered by residents walking in the area.

Members of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Response team processed the area. The coroner is working to identify the remains and determine the cause of death.

At this time it is unclear if it's connected to the Kelsey Berreth case.

More details are expected to be released Tuesday afternoon.

This body seems to be way down nearer Co/Nm border isn’t it? I remember passing by Trinidad not long after getting into Colorado.

Also, oddly for all my posting, I have no theories about the “how” of this murder went down at all. Just the “why” which I am convinced was an effort to get sole custody of the baby. Nothing else makes sense, as couples split all the time, and figure things out. He must have felt or knew that she was thinking of moving nearer her family or to another job, i.e or even that she might eventually get married and he would “lose” his child. Otherwise...just break up.

Thanks tmar. The irony for me in this case is that KK (if she's not knee deep in sh#@) ended up being the lucky one. PF is locked up and hopefully won't be getting out any time soon. If she is knee deep, I'll send her a book on Narcissistic Personality Disorder to pass the time behind bars

Quite a number of cases have been tried and won, without the victim’s body being located. In most cases that have been charged, there was either a crime scene or a confession. There is a website if you google “no body” cases that goes back decades, all sorts of cases.
