I just had a thought, I wonder if LE tested those Cinnamon Rolls for drugs? I wiped the top of the tube of Banamine once with my finger, did not wash it off, and I got drowsy. So PF calls her for her to run to the store, enters her place, mixes animal drugs in the frosting, and when she gets back, she eats one and OD's. Could have happened. moo

I doubt it. Statistically, murders with drugs are very rare.

Its possible, but would have been completely unnecessary.

The fact that they believe she was killed in her home, leads me to believe that they found forensic evidence to support that conclusion.

In an article dated 12/9/18, it talks about a vigil held in Washington by her brother in law. Search intensifies for missing Colorado mother Kelsey Berreth and this one says it was her brother held the vigil Colorado's Kelsey Berreth has been missing since Thanksgiving -- perhaps he'd left Colorado and went back to Washington by that time??

Unless there was another photo I'm not aware of, the photo of police cars was not at the hospital. The photo was taken at the courthouse/jail. The tweet wording with the photo was deceptive IMO to make people think LE were at the hospital at that time. They could have had her time cards already. And besides, people who use drugs as a method of murder, typically intend for a body to be found.

Yes, her brother's arrival and the one news story - you have to watch the video - shows the screen of a computer showing his FB post that showed as UPDATE on December 4th where he mentioned arriving at KB's home last night - which means he arrived on December 3rd.

The WA vigil was held in Tacoma where the brother/brother in law reside, and I did not see him on the local news coverage of vigil -- BIL was front and center. I believe SM would confirm he was still in CO on this date. MOO

Jmo but when Kelsey’s mom spoke out about her calls with Kelsey, I think it was too early on for any role-playing or subterfuge, etc...I think she said exactly what she knew about the relationship and about Kelsey’s plans for the day.

At that point, while LE certainly may have had their eyes on PF, I don’t think it was a coaching phase as yet. There was still a possibility that Kelsey was simply missing at the time, imo. And she has said very little since things changed.

I think that she, as well as Kelsey, thought there was an intact relationship. Maybe not a perfect one, but whose is?

BBM - I don't know if this has been brought up, but I've heard it said that LE may have directed CB on the press interviews. That being the case, do we know what CB actually knew and didn't know. If they were a close-knit family, why wouldn't KB tell her mom everything? In addition, if KB is as smart as we may think, would she have known about PF's plans? Maybe the B's knew more than we think they did. Just a couple questions I've been thinking about. MOO

I think that is only a theory that LE advised her on what to say. In most missing persons cases LE tells the family very little information about the investigation and what they uncover. It would be unlikely IMO that LE would advise CB to go on a media tour of several interviews and outright lie about the facts as she knows them. That type of thing would hurt CB's credibility later on as a witness in court. Of course she may have wisely decided to withhold info when she spoke to the press in order to protect the investigation. I agree that we have no way of knowing what CB knows or when she knew it about KB's relationship. But she had just been to visit KB in October so she would have had a recent opportunity to observe them for herself. And in the same interview where she said she had seen KB in Oct, CB also says there were no signs that KB was afraid of PF.

I don't get the impression KB's family expected PF to harm KB, even if they thought he was "an odd duck" -- in their words. Remember that the police also said there had been no domestic incidents between the couple and neighbors said they had never heard PF and KB arguing. I know when a woman is murdered it's nice to think that there were clear warning signs in advance but that is not always the case. Sometimes the signs can only be seen in retrospect with a lot of reflection and even then they may still be unclear. The only red flag I see that KB might have observed is that PF apparently was abusive to animals according to some who knew him-- but even that claim cannot be agreed upon by various horse and dog trainers here who said he may only be "old fashioned" in his techniques. MOO.

It is.

Basically, because he could have had access to drugs, means that he did have access to drugs.

If he did have access to drugs, he must have used drugs to kill her.

I think it’s super unlikely.

They were the first ones to speculate that the body was Kelsey’s, and the first one to shoot down the idea that it was hers.

If you don’t irresponsibly report the possibility of a body being a particular person’s, there’s no need to say “it isn’t her.”

All true. I think they are willing to print anything and use different types of sources which in this case is about the only news being released.

But still possible, PF does not strike me as a an active (not sure what word to use here) killer with the solicitation charges he made that clear. He may have been looking for a more hands off way to accomplish it. Drugs could have been his plan B choice.

Berreth's cellphone was traced to a tower about 35 miles south of Twin Falls three days after Thanksgiving.

I suppose they could have meant 35 miles north of Twin Falls, instead since Gooding is about 35 miles NNW of Twin Falls. Unless, the last ping wasn't in Gooding. 35 miles south of Twin Falls would put you near the Utah border.

PF doesn’t strike me as a “hands off” type of guy.

If he had no problem physically abusing animals, I don’t think it would be any leap to believe that he would employ the same type of tactics when dealing with people.

Especially in a murder.

I’d put gun before drugs in my list of probable murder methods.

And I definitely don’t think he shot her.
