I’d like to think if I were in the R’s place, I would have contacted authorities. Not knowing his last name or KB’s name is a lame excuse. A few hours online and they could probably suss it together. But if not, certainly LE could — w/phone records. Maybe KK would have folded under pressure and given his name and/or authorized access to her phone. Maybe not and they’d need a warrant. And maybe the likelihood they could get one was low. But IMO not reporting it because LE might not act is pretty stupid when a life may be at stake.

That said, I don’t know enough to fully fault the R’s for not reporting it. However, I fault them to the moon and back for going on tv and giving a 45 minute interview. There is absolutely no way LE orchestrated or encouraged this interview. In fact, I’m sure they discouraged it and bet they are thoroughly disgusted by the R’s. The R’s aren’t hero’s or whistle blowers—it can’t be spun. They’re doing it for self-centered reasons —money, attention, to “get in front of it” who knows. But certainly not for the good of the case.

IMO The R’s are low-life parasites feeding off someone else’s tragedy. Which is nothing compared to KK. At best, she’s incapable of thinking about anyone but herself. We don’t know yet the extent of her participation (if any) in the murder but we do know this woman not only didn’t contact LE, she continued to see a man who wanted someone killed. Maybe even let him hang around her kids. Who does that?

I question their reasoning for the interview as well. It’ll be interesting to hear the entirety of it to try and figure out what their motive was/is.

They stated the BFF has been being harassed.....I wonder if they are representing her for some reason and trying to redirect the narritive as it involves the BFF, or maybe they want to try and clear her name. Maybe they also wanted some recognition or are being harassed themselves. Something seems off to me. MOO

Ugh, getting tired of the people blaming the R’s for not coming forward sooner.

The person who should have called LE was KK! She had all of the info that could have saved KB! She chose to not to. Blame her!!

If you want to blame someone else, blame the bff for not calling LE. The bff knew more info and rather than call LE herself she went to her employers. If she was visibly upset when she told her employers about the situation she should have stepped up and made the call to LE herself, she didn’t.

The R’s asked the bff to have KK call them, did the bff ever relay that to KK? We don’t know. Maybe they did ask the bff about it after she initially came to them and she told them not to worry about it (or something along those lines).

Blame can be assigned to more than one person. And four people chose to not lift a finger.

Actions and even Non-Actions can have serious consequences as we have just learned.

I mentioned earlier that this recent news is giving me flashbacks of the movie
"The Butterfly Effect".

If anyone has not seen it, I strongly recommend it. A sad movie about how certain decisions we make in life have very serious consequences.
It has Ashton Kutcher as a lead role.

How does employee being harrassed online = television interview? That is what I don’t get. If anything, more such harassment is likely...

I blame KK for not calling LE
I blame bff for not calling LE
I blame mrs. R for not calling LE
I blame Mr. R. for not calling LE
As a sleuther, I can guarantee you I could find out Patrick's
full name and address faster than you could shake a stick.
Planning, soliciting or threatening to kill someone is against
the law. Surely the attorney (s) would know this. The average
person on the street probably knows this.
If a child calls in a bomb threat towards a school, all HE11 breaks
loose. I'm sure LE would have paid a call to PF to mildly let
him know he's breaking the law by soliciting. Then let LE
handle it. Then LE notifies KB to watch her back.
No doubt, the killing could have been thwarted. No doubt.
Within a very short time of the Jayme Closs thread breaking on WS, one other WS sleuther and I had sleuthed the name of her parents/victims, etc. and I am one slooooow one finger typer computer sleuther......... These lawyer R people and their early "unused until too late" info and interviews are unlikable to me....moo

Just hit me.

I would like to know if the BFF, when she spoke to the Rs about "Patrick" from CO, mentioned why he wanted the mother of his child killed?

Because I still can not see a solid motive.
But maybe there was one?

I seem to remember social media being public so it would not have been that difficult for the BFF to figure out if she did not already know, who the mother of PF's baby is IMO

I really don't think their TV interview has anything to do with their employees harassment, but more they are looking for their 15 min and recognition for being the "whistle blowers" (as they called themselves).MOO

This case is going to continue to make me eat my own words.

This a sad cast of human beings, where murder can be talked about, just like that.

Have I understood this correctly? The business owners, that employed KK's friend, when they were told by their employee (KK's friend) about the solicitation of murder, they advised the employee to have KK call THEM?? What the hell for? Now what? Are they going to do their own investigation and decide next steps? This is absurd.

Regarding KK - what is about her that makes PF even think she would actually murder someone?

Again, the rational thinker, trying to get into the head of the irrational.

All my opinion.

Damage Control and a young woman is dead.
Too little too late. Live with it.
Yes, “damage control” is the perfect term I couldn’t think of (guess my mind really is blown!). MOO

My hunch when it all comes out in the wash is something
about KK's contacts or her knowing certain types of people
led PF to believe she could accomplish the killing.
PF may have known she knew seedy individuals.

I don't believe PF wanted her to do the deed, but to contact
her sources to get it done. JMO.

The news releasing this couples interview, bit by bit, is for ratings. Nothing else, IMO.

I am quite sure that had the BFF pressed KK for names, or, if she'd done a little sleuthing on her own; i.e. asked around as to who KK was "dating", the info. could have been readily available to the R's. **However, I believe it was common knowledge in certain cirlces who KK was involved with and BFF already knew not only Patrick's last name, but probably KB's as well.** How many BFF's talk about their lives and DON'T discuss things like this??

I have a hard time believing that the R's were helpless to push the issue due to lack of Patrick's last name.

When a person's life is at stake, and the alarm bell is rung (their employee was, according to them "visibly upset") you do your darndest to RING THAT BELL as LOUD as you can!

They are lawyers. All the more reason to sit up and take notice.

Edited to add - again, I don't want to give the impression that blame for KB's death lies with anyone but the person/people directly involved. But, I do think it's vitally important that people recognize this - if someone comes to you "visibly upset" about a claim of upcoming murder, dang, don't sit on it!

And what a surprise it *might have* been to KK and the BFF when on the news it was announced that she was Patrick's fiance.

Shades of Christopher Watts girlfriend learning that he was still with his wife through media reports?

I don't get the vibe the R's are playing CYA or anything nefarious. I do wonder if the 25,000 dollar reward was paid to them. They probably know their names will come up in the investigation publicly so they are stepping forward with their story to protect themselves from any misinformation that will ensue. Who wouldn't? I am interested in why they didn't tell LE of the murder plot story when they heard it first. Maybe they thought it was just a far-fetched immature squabbling females tale that had died down, not realizing at the time it was a serious and real solicitation.

they said that they made it after the public plea on the 10th, but to get the date that they called, I backed up for days from the arrest. And that gave me the 17th. He was arrested on the 21st.

"Within four days of their conversation with the FBI, Patrick Frazee had been arrested."

Twin Falls couple discusses tough call to FBI
may be totally unrelated but the $25,000 reward went public ~12/15/18 didn't it?
