While think KK coming to WP to kill KB and remove her body is completely implausible, I learned yesterday that implausible is sometimes plausible. Could PF have solicited KK, and she went ahead and did the deed solo?

Is there any evidence against PF that we are aware of that is actually inconsistent with this line of thinking?

Other than the 1st degree murder charge against PF, I'm drawing a blank.

We will agree to disagree, then. PF's family had Baby K from Mon-Wed while KB was working. This was KB's time with their child. And why would she take baby K shopping if she was expecting PF to come over and pick her up? That makes no sense. MOO

Do we know PF had the baby Monday through Friday and that KB was working those days?

I know it would be more likely during Christmas, but is it possible KB had the whole week off over thanksgiving? I’m not sure that there would be a lot of students seeking flight instruction during that time as many people do go home for the holidays.

I’ve always wondered - if PF was telling the truth about picking up the baby - whether KB had her Monday through midday Thanksgiving and PF was to take her for Thursday night Thanksgiving supper and maybe the rest of the weekend.

I think that’s a lie concocted by KK.

PF may have been badmouthing KB, we only heard from his sister initially and it wasn't positive stuff. pretty common scenario when a couple breaks up, especially if one was dumped.

The theories about KK being in town without PF knowing are interesting and would hold more water if PF was talking. His silence, to me, is deafening. (IMO and all that.)

If any of this is true, that is even more reason to call the police. I would have shouted it from the rooftops, put my kids some where he couldn't find them. I would have taken action. I wouldn't have just done what he said. If she truly thought he had killed before, why was she still dating him?

Moreover, if she had believed he had killed before, then killed KB, why wouldn’t she think he would kill her anyway as well, because she would be a loose end to tie up?

Her claim is stupid. Whatever the reason that KK claims she thinks PF killed KB, it would be nothing compared to the fact that KK knew he killed KB. If you’re the one person who can finger the killer, your life is in much more danger.

Go to Google Earth and search for "446 MAIN ST
Gooding, ID 83330" then enter Street View. Look up.
The cell tower is on the roof, just above where it says "Leader Building".
Verizon issued a press bulletin which clarifed that KB's phone was likely within a mile of that tower when it pinged.
The ping, and the two messages, are absolute proof that KB's phone was there, and that someone other than PF was in control of it.
The messages themselves are irrelevant. The phone was obviously not locked, so the Contacts section would have both numbers. If for some reason the Contacts was empty, the user of the phone could look up both numbers, as they are both widely published. Old-fashioned, I know, but it still works!
KB's BIL told news sources that he had been calling the number over and over, and it just went to voice mail without ringing. On a Verizon phone, this means it is TURNED OFF. If the battery was dead, it would ring, then go to voice mail.
Likewise, if KB's phone was in her condo to take, wouldn't the charger and cord be there, as well?
Finally......LE theorizes that either PF had someone else kill KB and took her phone (murder and solicitation), or killed her, took her phone, and asked someone else to use it. (murder with robbery and solicitation).

i think most, if not all, cell phones will automatically shut down at ~5% battery by design. reason being it is very bad for a lipo battery to fully discharge and it is problematic for the ROM of the phone as data corruption could cause issues. usually once the phone turns off due to a low battery state the user must plug it in to get it to boot up again and some require a 15% battery before booting. there are exceptions but this has been my experience.

I'm stupid probably, but why does the wife of a hay farmer (now retired) have licenses for several states? I would imagine her working and needing a license, where her husband has/had his farm.

CB did live in WA before retiring to ID. as far as the other state(s) it is quite possible, if in fact it was her license, that she at some point needed to care for someone, perhaps a family member, and was required to have a license to provide that care.

I can think of cases a pilot purposely brought an aircraft down.

They go through psychological screenings constantly and routinely. Yes, they can lie. That is where the people in one's life know when a pilot has close to 400 souls in his/her hands that should call Delta. There is NO indication that KB wanted to hurt her child or was depressed. I can believe she was psychologically abused leading up to her death and probably threatened and possibly in a situation of abuse. There is nothing that shows she did not care for her child as this article said PF said.
