That's what always confused me. After listening to her mom describe their conversation on Thanksgiving day, I couldn't imagine her mom would not have tried to reach her to follow up with her and inquire how it went that day. Maybe she did try to contact her. Imo
For the life of me, I have not been able to find the statement I remember that CB (or possibly KB’s brother?) made in MSM very early on. It was something along the lines of multiple family members were reaching out to Kelsey in the days following Thanksgiving. But it took days for those family members to communicate with EACH OTHER to figure out that none of them were hearing back from her. This is what caused alarm. I will try to hunt down that comment. I remember seeing it very early on, then never again.

ETA: So far, I’m not able to find that comment. But I definitely remember it being made. It's possible I read the comment on the family's official facebook page for Missing Kelsey...and the page has since been removed. It would have had to be a family member or admin. to make the comment for me to take it as fact.

Hopefully not 5 years from now..

You never know, they may locate the body and the evidence they have may be so incriminating he might plea, like Chris Watts did.

Life for solicitation or for first degree murder? Two very different charges.
In the state of Colorado, solicitation is a companion charge to a felony (such as first degree murder). Any sentence for solicitation is added onto the end of the sentence for the felony. The person being solicited cannot be charged with the solicitation.

It's all about control for him IMO Trudie. And let me tell you...Narcs can be perfectly fine with their kids when they are babies...as soon as little K got old enough to defy him, watch out. Thank God she is right where she belongs.

I’m sorry. Idk P.
Do you? I can’t find where he’s diagnosed as a narc’ & I certainly have found no info indicating he would hurt his daughter.
We all think KB was a brilliant, beautiful young woman, agree?
IMO, it demeans her to imply she would be involved with a man the way P has been described. Jmo

I almost posted "why is everyone mooing like cows on here? What is the deal with the cows?" But I didn't want to seem uninformed so I just bit my tongue until one day it finally clicked.

I'm so confused that this may not make sense, but since KK said KB was crazy and could hurt her child, then had PF is scary and he could hurt KKs kids, could this be where PF solicitation for murder came from and why he's saying he's being railroaded? Meaning....KK is obsessed with PF and is willing to do anything for him. Could she have been so obsessed and b*tched at him about KB so much, that off the cuff PF repeated numerous times, "Then kill her!"
MOO, MOO

Touché.
Bet as this unfolds CB knows all about “another” woman.
A woman that prevented KB/PF from moving forward with their relationship. Jmo

I don’t smell a rat, I smell a nurse.

Do you know IN? Respectfully, you have repeatedly said she's obsessed, stalker and that you know her type. And you think it is demeaning to KB that she would be with someone that betrayed her trust and took her life???? That's not a poor reflection on her...she's the victim.

BBM: Gardener, I completely missed this info...where is the forge? TIA!
*ETA: Has it been searched, do you know?

He has been called both a Farrier and Blacksmith by the MSM. I think he calls himself a farrier though-- someone who shoes hoofed animals and takes care of their feet. So I am basing my comment about him having access to a forge on that. I saw someone comment they saw a picture of PF using a portable forge but I have not seen that picture. I do not know if the forge was searched or if it is a portable one. My speculation only is that if a witness (KK?) told LE that PF used his forge to dispose of evidence or to dispose of KB then that info could have been the probable cause for the search of his mother's ranch. If he has one, hopefully it was impounded to be tested for evidence. MOO.

Oh, that’s definitely the motivation.

The didn’t do the right thing when she was solicited.

She didn’t do the right thing with the phone.

She may have done far worse things than that.

If she’s talking now, it’s for one purpose:

To save herself.
this. All day long.

THIS!!!

My late husband threatened to hire someone to kill me multiple times. We had 5 kids. Not to go OT but Sweetsbeach knows what she’s talking about IMO!!!

Are you a mind reader (jk). I have been wondering all day if the engagement was a rouse to placate her mother or the engagement fell apart months ago and the mother was under the belief that the marriage was on hold for those "economic" reasons.
Literally ALL of the people involved in this mess can safely be considered "middle-class" in both annual income and net worth. A few days of postings back some cited a credit rating for an individual of 500, and someone posted "That low?" Credit scores are based on points allocated for things that show stability, like home ownership; and primarily points for exactly how you pay back your credit obligations. If you don't own your own home, or just recently bought it, and pay cash for everything, your score is going to be "that low". No debts, no credit.
So, it is extremely doubtful that The disappearance had anything to do with money, finances, child support, etc.
Likewise.....if a person who has, within the last year, extended $182,900 of his/her hard earned life savings to finance a daughter;s home, says the daughter is not getting married because he can't afford a home yet.....then I say that person really didn't think out that answer very well, and mispoke. We all do it some times, especially under duress.

Moo, the things the nurse reportedly has said to M that P said to her, I believe to be things she has threatened P with.
I’m going with the msm reports P/KK had an affair/romantic involvement.
Woman being investigated in Kelsey Berreth case
We’ve all read the numerous reports.
IMO, the affair ended soon after it started but years later one party can’t accept it, or refuses to accept it.
Enter KB + baby = murder.
Moo

He was arrested because they had an affadavit stating probable cause, that the judge accepted. KIt doesn't mean they can prove ANYTHING at this point. Here is an example of what happens:
In July 2018, Jacqueline Souza of Colorado Springs was arrested in the stabbing death of her live-in fiance Brandon Watkins. Although the evidence was clearly supportive of her claim of self-defense, her story changed several times in the immediate aftermath of the stabbing. Souza was incarcerated until October 20 (3 full months) before charges were dropped because the investigation could not produce enough evidence to attempt prosecution for murder. The case remains open as a homicide, in case any information that would further implicate Ms. Souza is discovered.
Let me sum it up. The exact same prosecutors that are handling this case held this woman in jail without bond for three full months before they dropped the charges because THEY HAVE NO EVIDENCE of the charge. They can prove why they don't like her, and if we saw their proof, we probably wouldn't like her either. In fact, a jury would probably convict her of being a dislikable lady, but that wasn't the basis of the affidavit.

When was this case moved out of Teller County and into El Paso County? tia

Which really sucks for people like me whose homes never had a loan on it, ever. So it *seems* I'm 33 and not a homeowner, when in fact I have a deed with my name on it AND it's paid for.

Hmmm. I am going to do some research on farriers and blacksmiths. I'm a city dweller, so when I think "blacksmith", in my mind I see an old picture from the 1800s. Would a farrier use a forge to custom fit horseshoes? How is that done? Off to Google.

Same. Picturing English girls with bonnets, horse-drawn carriages, and Queen Victoria.

Teller County and El Paso county share a district attorney office. It's all under the same umbrella with different court houses.
