Something bothers me about the report that KB texted her workplace to tell them she would be off for a week. Who does that? Anywhere I have worked, you better give them a direct call or you are out of a job. I do not believe she personally texted anyone.
I don't believe KB sent that text. It is standard for most companies to require a written request - usually with 30 days advance notice unless it's an emergency - which is then approved by a supervisor/manager. I have never heard of texting your employer to tell them you're taking the week off. o_O

I've been thinking along those lines too...maybe she just ran off with another romantic interest no one knows about; I really hope that is the case. There is such a thing, if you believe, as Runaway Bride syndrome and I'm crossing my fingers this could be it. There's so much we don't know right now so all we can do is speculate and provide own's own theories.
I like your honesty you provided :) Who doesn't wanna just run off and escape responsibilities or burdens; but we also must be strong enough to weather through it. Happy Holidays to you
There is no logical reason for KB to have to "run off" with anyone. She is an unmarried woman with the responsibilities of a career and child who doesn't have to go hiding if she enters another relationship. <modsnip - not victim friendly> JMO

I've been pouring over FlightAware and don't see where FedEx uses KGNG. Granted I can only see back to 12/1, but it only shows a handful of (very small) aircraft that use that airport. Can you link me to a specific flight where FedEx used the airfield?
Live FedEx Flight Status ✈ FlightAware

I went to that link and the operator is FDX. I typed Gooding, which gave the choices GNG and KGNG. I selected GNG, Gooding Municipal Airport.

Ident: N8973G
Type: C182
Dep/Arr: 12:35p 1:06p MST

Clicking on Arrivals shows an expanded page that states Thursday but without a date. Today is Thursday?

There is a FedEx office at 342 Main St., Gooding. Do you know how to check if this is a daily flight, or as needed?

Perhaps they can film it from afar and not pressure the family and guests for interviews?

It doesn't bother me if the press will not be there. The only thing the press will do is take photos or video and many in the vigil will do the same thing. Having the press there might be a distraction. I feel the press will probably be off in the distance anyway.

I work for a state agency and my division is fairly small and close knit so our whole team frequently texts or emails to take leave. We have flexible jobs and can easily work from home or push due dates back a week or more if needed. If I want planned leave then I email my direct supervisor but when I am sick/my kid is sick/just need a mental health day/car issue/house issue then I just send her a text and let her know my plans for leave. I haven't physically called in for any type of leave in years.

Doesn't make sense to us but perhaps it makes sense to her.

One thing we have not considered is a jealous rival, as in the Michelle Le case way back when.
I’m torn between that and PF. I don’t believe ahe left solo.

It doesn’t seem that the FBI has offered any type of reward yet for this case. They typically do when they feel/are sure foul play is involved.

I don’t see any information about criteria or time frame for rewards to kick in. Maybe it just hasn’t happened yet or cannot until they have more information. Or maybe they feel she left willingly. I sure hope she did and can see a scenario where she may be embarrassed to return now that her disappearance is national news (but I recognize that scenario is wishful thinking).

I wonder if she drove back and forth to work in Pueblo or is there a commuter train? Her mother said she worked long shifts. I just can't get over her comment 'she commutes to Pueblo, which means many people must have seen her'. When? The day she disappeared?

That comment from her mother stood out to me also... It made me wonder if she had a reason to think KB might have gone to her workplace.

I'm still PO'd that Mary Winkler got custody of her kids back.
Agreed.
There was never any proof of abuse except by Mary's 'word'.

which is a laughably absurd excuse in such a small community. The national media made it there. Her mom made it there from Idaho. PF didn't show up because he didn't want to be asked questions. JMO
Very strange excuse and makes no sense at all.

Well if anything happens to the baby now, we know who to go to.
Agreed.
At this time... no one has been cleared.
Which is telling as then the investigation could proceed in a different direction.
LE's silence speaks volumes.
Waiting......

She is a 7th Day Adventist and they don't believe in wearing jewelry of any kind, not even wedding bands. So she would not have had a ring even if she was engaged. Her mom does not wear one either.
If she's that religious it's weird she had a kid out of wedlock IMO.

I get that you think he's guilty and that I'm not going to change your mind.

I think he has posted a few times that he is on the fence about the situation and he does not know if there was foul play or not.

FBI does not set up a reward for every case

Yeah, but I think your situation is unusual on the whole.

I’m not sure she had that type of job, especially one where she could just send a last minute text asking for a week off.

It’ll be interesting to know what the company thought of it at the time.

Exactly. This sounds again like foul play and hope she is found so as not to torment another grieving family. This happens way too often. I am not convinced of anything just yet but she is gone from her baby for three weeks? No way. I’m not buying this.

From earliest accounts, it was reported that KB lived most of her life in eastern Washington, and moved with PF to Colorado two years ago. KB still has extended family living in WA-- including a brother in Tacoma. KB's parents Cheryl and Darrell relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho which is only 175 miles from their previous home. It's been reported that KB's phone last pinged near Gooding, ID -- about 700 miles from her home in Woodland Park, Co. By all appearances, PF has strong ties to Colorado, where he works, and his entire immediate family reside.

I believe that anybody with personal knowledge of KB could think to place KB's phone in a place that could easily be explained, yet far enough away to move the focus elsewhere. Is it possible that KB would travel to Idaho between 11/22 and 11/25 -- sure it is (especially under the guise of going to see family and close friends). It's just not plausible that she would leave for Idaho without her vehicle, her child, or packing any personal items for her trip!

I don't believe KB sent the text messages herself on 11/25, or ever left Colorado alive. I also believe that nobody in Colorado reported KB missing to LE (or her family for that matter) to both distance themselves, and make locating KB any forensic evidence more difficult to find. Unless additional information disclosing possible postpartum depression or mental issues with KB is released, I'll continue to suspect foul play. And I will be overjoyed if proven wrong. MOO

I thought KB and PF met on an Internet dating site and she moved to CO because he lived there? If her grandmother in WA is ill, that's info she likely shared with PF. I think it is no coincidence her phone pinged in another state headed in that direction. That tactic bought more time to hide forensic evidence, including a body.

I, too, will be overjoyed if proved wrong but to me,<modsnip - speculation>

I am in a suburb of Boise, I would love to meet up if we can get enough details to do a proper search. If it makes sense we could reach out to Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue to see if they could bring dogs.
Me too...suburb of Boise. Good idea! It's a plan then if and when it's needed.

I'm new here too so idk :) ... I saw the ss on a FB page so maybe someone just copied and pasted the text from here. I completely understand why unverified sources of info aren't allowed, makes it too hard to decipher what is true or not.
We’re having a hard enough time trying to decipher what is true or not, based on MSM reporting here.

But yeah, rumors only add to that.

I’d like another press conference, or a press release, that lays it all out for us.

The police probably have Kelsey's computer by now. Seems strange the media has not shown a picture of her house yet.
