FYI-
Experiencing major depression and anxiety from a rough year, I checked myself into a facility the week before Thanksgiving.
There was a van available from the hospital to pick me up at my door if need be.
There was no need to pack, the hospital had everything for me.
I only brought my purse and phone, which were locked in a safe on arrival.

To add
I have a job that I love, own my own home in Los Angeles, a new car, a loving and close -by family.
Dark thoughts can happen to anyone.

Yes, but I am pretty sure if your family and LE thought that you were missing, the facility would have contacted LE and told them that you were there and safe.

Yep. This is what I have for Thanksgiving.
  1. Kelsey made cinnamon rolls for breakfast
  2. Kelsey called her mom about a recipe. The call was interrupted so KB could tend to the baby. 2nd call with mom.
  3. Kelsey went to Safeway with K
  4. PF picked up K
  5. Kelsey disappears with her purse
MOO

Strange huh, almost like we are all supposed to think her daily routine had some sort of interruption. I think that's more of a scripted, falsified misnomer. JMO!

You're going on my prayer list.

Her mom said she was asking family members for their Christmas lists. So she was certainly thinking about Christmas.
And then texted her employer that she would be gone for a week... she certainly would have had time for shopping after she returned the next week, but...
I don't know what to think. I worry.

So apparently she never made it home and disappeared sometime after she dropped the child off. Was it verified that she never went back home?
We know her car made it back home. That's about it.

I see a positive outcome in this case scenario: what if Kelsey texted PF that she is on a verge of having a mental breakdown and needs time to be alone and asked him not to tell anyone where she is? This would explain why he didn't report her missing. If she had a large amount of cash with her that would also explain why she is not using her credit cards. I wonder if LE checked phone records for KB and PF.

No offense, but any fiance who would go along with that and not be alarmed is a jerk or an idiot. Or maybe both. Majority of people I know would be going straight to whatever location she told them she was in or calling someone to go there to check on her. And if checking on her personally was not an option the next step should be calling LE for a well check and filing a missing persons report. If my fiance tells me he is on the verge of a mental breakdown I'm not going to sit by and let that happen. I'm getting him help. Adults are allowed to take "mental breaks" from society if they choose but to do so suddenly like that it should raise alarm bells for anyone who cares about them. Kelsey has never traveled anywhere without sharing with her mom and others in her life where she was going and what she was planning. MOO.

I think she just needed to get to the store to get the ingredients for whatever she was going to make. Maybe she was going to shower, do makeup and hair while little K was napping? I don't see any signs that she was frazzled - just busy. MOO
I agree. Even if she is typically super put together, I can see just putting on jeans and a t-shirt and hair back to run out to the grocery store for a few things with a very young child. (I mean, I personally consider putting on jeans positively fancy.) I don't know her normal routine, but it didn't seem like she was out looking disheveled.

I applaud you for doing this! My only question is did you tell anyone that you were doing this? I see no shame in it and members of my own family have had to check themselves in for anxiety and depression. My one sibling had a breakdown on her job site and her boss drove her to a hospital and called my parents. I know as family that once the person was accepted into the place, you could not communicate for a certain period with them and they do take your phone. However, every relative was able to communicate within a day or so.

Most people would have a hard time explaining away a large block of time on Thanksgiving Day, especially if they have family commitments so I'm having a hard time coming up with a scenario that includes anyone she knew.

I think it is shocking that she did not text or call her Mother to let her know she was going to be "out of pocket" for a week. Why nothing for her Mother?
Exactly. Trust your instincts. KB did not communicate these plans with her Mother because she was not in control, and unable to communicate since 11/22.

If PF and KB's relationship was so good why didn't her mother call PF and have him go over to check on KB instead of calling LE for a welfare check?
Ummmffff, good question, traveler...
Damm, this is odd, IMO.

And we all saw her on video entering Safeway -- I believe she looked very presentable if I do say so myself! MOO

Right?! She looks more presentable in the Safeway video than I do when I actually bother to do my hair and wear makeup.

Doss contracts with the military.
Would it be possible for Kelsey to be housed in a military medical facility?

It is complicated. Technically, the facility has to.have an access number, and a list of approved contacts. If the husband is not on the list and knows no access number, they won't give any information. I don't know about the police.

Bingo! Kelsey is known to be responsible, a good mother, employee! She's been gone almost three weeks now. Something is definitely off here! No way a good daughter/mother would leave her family members worried sick for this length of time. Something is rotten here!

Absolutely they can! I'm so glad you reached out for care when you needed it. Hope you're feeling strong and well again. :)

Doubtful. They aren’t a government agency, they are a company that the US military contracts to provide services, including training military personnel.

Part of me is glad that we are only learning the truth about those cinnamon buns right now.

That was one hell of a discussion last night. :p:D
I think I missed the whole thing. All I knew was that she had made cinnamon buns. Don't know what the speculation was, but my little one loves those Pillsbury buns and they are so easy to toss in the oven. That's what imagined she made.
