Trying to give the fiancée the benefit of the doubt here.

Is there any way that he knows where she is but she asked him not to tell? Maybe she needed a break, dropped off the child and told him where she was going but asked him to not let anyone know. Like a staged disappearance. And he’s just following that plan.

It’s a very big long shot. But I’m trying to think of any other reason (beyond the obvious) of why he would be so removed from everything and not report her missing.

When I watched an interview of Kelsey's mother, I was bothered by her lack of anxiety and sadness. She also seemed to be suppressing smiling. Then the real kicker was telling the public to just share the picture, don't try to figure it out, they have people doing that. What?....I thought she was a little strange. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
I don’t think she’s allowed to say anything per LE.

Even to LE if there was a big search for you, going on or someone had been charged with abducting you?

You can't opt out of letting LE know, the hospital will tell them if it pertains to an active investigation.

Their not living together is not strange in itself, if he works a small ranch...if that was the only unusual factor here. But I do wonder what the plan was regarding housing if and when they married.

IMO it’s only unusual that they didn’t live together because they have a child.

It is only 15 miles away from her home, though.

That was not part of the form!

Here's where I get lost in all of this. It has been stated she was supposed to have dinner with her fiance and he was going to take the little one to pick out a Christmas tree. It was also previously stated, and I wish I could link it, that Kelsey had no plans of making dinner that night. So, why would you transfer custody of a child in the middle of the afternoon if the plan is to be together again a couple of hours later for dinner? To me it seems like a bunch of senseless running around.

^^ This was a sticking point for me too until CB made the comments about Kelsey normally dressing up to leave the house. It would make sense for PF to pick up the baby so that Kelsey could shower and fix her hair and makeup for their dinner plans. Maybe PF was going to take baby Christmas tree shopping? This is all speculation and MOO but it could make sense.

This is OT and I don’t believe this is the case here...but there was a woman about 5 years who vanished, she had a young infant and husband...her car was found in a park with the driver’s door open. LE was sure she had been abducted but she had in fact run off to Florida with a man she met in 7/11. She was super religious as was her husband and family. Can’t remember her name...initials were TT I think...last I read she was still with 7/11 guy and had a child with him. Anyone remember her? Her name might come to me...eta Tiffany Tehan.

Right and see where I’m stuck is then if that was her plan why was it not odd to him that she never came over for dinner, didn’t contact him nd then days and days pass and he’s still with their child and she’s nowhere to be found. How was that not alarming?

I mean this would be different if she was scheduled to be out of town and drops the child off before she left for a work trip or whatever. But that’s not what we’re hearing. And it’s very odd.

Yep, exactly!

Sometimes people change their minds. Maybe they weren't getting along? MOO

One known female politician looks a little bit similar, and speaks the same way, so I assume, some people merely have certain mimical peculiarities?
BTW, KB's mom bears uncanny resemblance to this politician whom most of us saw. To a degree that I was always asking myself, where could I have seen CB until I saw your post.

They can ask - but the provider can not confirm or deny unless the person in question is deemed incapacitated or is in danger of hurting themself or others. There’s duty to report only under the latter.

It's listed on the exceptions:

"• To respond to a request for PHI for purposes of identifying or locating a suspect, fugitive, material witness or missing person, but the information must be limited to basic demographic and health information about the person.

This is from a new article today. Most of it is a recap except this part with a quote from LE today:

Thursday, December 13th 2018
"According to police, Frazee told authorities he picked up the couple's daughter, Kaylee, from Kelsey that afternoon. Susan Medina, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, said Thursday that police would not speculate on why the couple was exchanging their daughter on the holiday."

Investigation yields few clues on missing Colorado woman

Something about the exchange is hinky. We know that but what could it be?
The term "exchange" is hinky to me because it implies it took place at someplace other their homes such as a shopping mall, police station or other place where the parents wouldn't be alone with each other.
The video of KB leaving the Safeway has never been released and I've wondered if that is where the "exchange" took place. If that is the term PF used with LE, then I wonder when and where the reverse "exchange" would take place. JMO

Excellent synopsis, but now I only have more questions!
How many cinnamon rolls did she make and how many were left?
Was it just Kelsey and baby for breakfast?
If the recipe call happened after breakfast, what recipe did Kelsey need before going to the store?
Did the items she bought end up back at her house?
Were they neatly put away or lying out? Or still in the car?
Any evidence she made the recipe her mom gave her?
Dishes in the sink or dishwasher? Wrappers in the trash can?
Etc.
There will be a press conference tomorrow and I think you need to email this list of questions to one of the reporters who will be attending. :p I can only guess at every one of your questions. MOO

Ya, I thought that was really bizarre.

That she did not take her car is indeed perplexing. If she wanted to leave no trail, maybe she took a cab, paid cash -- totally anonymous "get away." If so, she really wanted some time to herself, but she said, if she said, "one week"
to her employer. (But no make-up? Are there clothes missing?) Damm, this is hard to figure. Maybe she meant a week (if indeed she wrote it), and got into trouble somehow, or disappeared on purpose. Just odd and/or scary.

BTW, no makeup on a woman always wearing it might be the reason for no one seeing, or recognizing, her.

Is it known whether KB dropped the baby off at the fiancés, he picked the baby up from her house or they met somewhere and exchanged her?

  • #919
Ya, I thought that was really bizarre.

I kind of got the impression that she had taken something to calm her down, which would be perfectly reasonable. If I went missing my mother would probably need to be sedated.

Thanks, you beat me to it.

This is important as it comes up in a lot of cases. People think that if a missing person checks into a mental hospital, they are effectively off the grid because of HIPPA laws.

As this shows, that isn’t the case.
