She wasn't missing on 11/26.

CB hadn't reported her missing. At best, she might have wondered why her calls were going to voice mail at that point.

PF's story was that she took some time off to go visit her grandmother at that point in time.

So I am going with, the Rs didn't remember the exact date and sourced one of those inaccurate early MSM reports to refresh their memory. MOO

Definitely possible.

It is expensive today. For a medical facility, one has to.have a good reason as one day costs a lot. For a psychiatric one, the person has to be suicidal, depressed or homicidal. Plus, any facility would have to put an officer at her door to protect her. Too expensive.

They wouldn't have a choice if you play the mental breakdown and suicidal card, which is pretty easy to do. They wouldn't have to put an officer on her if she isn't arrested and they don't consider her a flight risk. Plus those facilities are secure.

And it would play into the victim story.

I don't think it is a bad theory. As good as any of the other ideas at this point.

I still want to know how they knew she was missing on 11/26. Either KK told the BFF before any official missing persons report was made, which is very suspicious in itself, or they are full of crap and got their dates for their "story" confused. JMO.
It is super busy time for me at work so I keep missing things even when I go back through threads. Is this correct? Did the Rs know KB was missing on the 26th? Not trying to beat up on them...just trying to sort this out.

As for my opinion of Colorado law and Colorado prosecutors.............at times, my published bio has alluded to a crime against my friend, which Westward Magazine once ranked in it's "Thirteen Horrifying Colorado Murders" article. The perp was apprehended and sentenced to 888 years in the penitentiary. He was eligible for parole after ten years, and they nearly let him out. After that, his eligibility came up every two years like clockwork, until Colorado law was changed which then only allowed him eligibility every five years At least three generations of Colorado prosecutors worked on keeping him locked up, spending millions of dollars. When he died at age 77, he was actively making a special hardship appeal. The hardship was that he was dying, and felt he was owed a last breath in freedom. I followed the case closely forty years, ready to do anything that I possibly could to help the prosecutors in their never-ending battle for justice.
So, in full answer to your question.......my unfavorable opinion of Colorado laws is well known, and my support of Colorado prosecutors simply cannot be questioned. Not in this lifetime.
Thank you for this.

Sadly, this isn’t always the case. I’ve known several suicidal people who were released for one reason or another. Unless you have cash to pay up front, insurance requirements seem to require you to have a razor blade in your hand in order to commit.

Part 3 of the interview being released tonight focuses on the time KK spent with PF in Colorado.
This is info that the BFF wanted the R's to have about KK, otherwise she wouldn't tell them. Unless she literally is again someone who tells everyone her story.
So if I had to guess, I think we will hear some sort of nonsense of how he forced her to go to colorado in some way shape or form. Or maybe they got married over the weekend (LOL- just joking)

I am just interested in seeing what the plan is to protect KK. How are they going to explain away going to Colorado when you are terrified of this guy.

I don't necessarily think it is the R's trying to do it, maybe they are being manipulated and believe the whole thing. We'll see.

BBM. I know you said you were joking but that would sure throw a wrench into things if it happened!

Here's some info on spousal privilege laws in CO:

"Colorado, like many states, has enacted a statute, referred to as the “marital privilege,” which can prevent spouses from testifying against one another, even if they might otherwise be ready, willing, and able (and regardless of how critical they might be to the prosecution’s case). This privilege is purely a creature of state statute, not a constitutional right, and thus can be changed by the legislature at any time."

Could be that they have a memory problem.

But don't you think they have been interviewed probably more than once by LE and so they would be pretty fresh on dates because this is a story they have repeated quite a few times?

Also, they could have corrected it and they haven't

I think it could go either way at this point- wouldn't be at all suprised if it was true about the 26th or not true.

It really is and with the very recent Colorado Chris Watts case and so many other murderers eventually getting caught and prosecuted, it is mind boggling what made either one of them think they could get away with it.

Screams of arrogance or is it ignorance or both.

Someone a few days back mentioned something very interesting. They mentioned that PF and company seems to have tried not to make the same mistakes Chris Watts had made and did the opposite.

CW left wifes phone in home. PF took KB's phone.

CW didnt have a good excuse why wife was gone. PF and Co. sent texts to her employer giving an excuse why she was gone.

CW killed the kids too. PF took his kid home to mama.

There may be more things like this but it does seem PF and Co. may have thought if they corrected all of Chris Watts mistakes then they would get away with it.

I was one of the posters who mentioned it. Perhaps others did so, too.

I think the difference in planning comes from the difference in the goals.

Chris Watts did preplan, but I doubt he was in a rational mind doing it. Even if it were not for NUA, he'd be caught soon, he was just off, in so many ways. I always thought he was in a hurry to annihilate because he felt that in a week, this "eclipse"' in his mind would have been gone. He was obsessed by love, and maybe felt trapped, and it made him dangerous to a lot of people, not only his family. But the planning phase was short.

I suspect, and have no proof, that maybe PF thought of killing KB before CW case, but as to fine-tuning, the details, CW's case made a difference. He chose the day when everyone will be away of busy, he had enough time to clean, he created an alibi that bought him a week, he gave no interviews. He hid the body too well. He got rid of the purse, the cellphone, all things incriminating for CW. He did not think of the car, or maybe he knew that a car could be GPS-tracked.

The biggest mistake was conspiring. As long as a secret it known to two, it stops being a secret. Enter BFFs, their bosses, and maybe a lot of locals we don't know about.

What really played for PF was the size of the ranch, the date and the fact that his are not densely inhabited places.

But why do I think he planned it before August? Watts case unraveled so rapidly, one would think, "darn, it is difficult to kill these days, I'd better not". Only if you already have the plan in mind, you start thinking, how do I avoid mistakes?

I think that he approached KK in September specifically because this is when Watts case, the details, became known. Maybe he planned to kill KB by himself, and in September, thought he needed some "corrections".

In short. CW - love-obsessed and very impulsive.

PF - very "stuck in ideas", a planner. MOO.

That is the question. Reporter claims dates are accurate and what Rs stated. Questions are whether if it was a mistake on their part or was there actually a private FB group talking about her disappearance before she was even reported missing.

True. but when you have a murder that has just happened, a murderous man you are terrified of, the prospect of prison all as good back up reasons you might get a little more traction. Who knows

It stresses me out that they haven't arrested the nurse yet. Do you think they are waiting to try and get as much information out of her...or do you think they just don't have enough against her at this time? IMO I would think she could be charged with something at this point. I know they want to go after the "big fish" but I hope anyone else involved goes down too.

Or if as reported BFF personally told the R's on the 26th as said (or another date) that the woman (KB) was missing

One would think!

Unfortunately most of my experience involves military healthcare. We have vets committing suicide at a rate of 22/day and yet being suicidal isn’t always perceived as enough for commitment. Without an actual plan in place, they aren’t necessarily considered a risk to themselves.

I am so curious as to why she hasn’t been arrested. Even if she’s lawyered up and not talking, like PF was. Either they don’t have enough to arrest her, or she’s helping LE and will get lesser charges when her arrest time comes is all I can come up with. There’s no doubt she’s involved, but we don’t know the details.
the only thing i can think of why there has been no KK arrest is she became an informant very early on. otherwise LE usually does an arrest and then the individual starts working with LE under some type of plea deal. but i guess it is possible KK has been arrested and that was sealed. but, i've not ever heard of that.

Thanks very much for your help!
So to me..anything from the Rs may not be totally accurate. No offense to them, but it's 2nd-3rd hand info at best, reported by media that can get things wrong, and because if it is true again why did they not say anything to LE...or did they?
So, like you said..that is the question. hmm

I hope that it is related to needing to gather enough evidence to determine her exact involvement and not complete lack of evidence/immunity. I’m still not sold that there isn’t someone else in the mix that caused things to need to be sealed for safety. It really stresses me out too. I want all involved to be punished and am terrified some will not be to be able to get the “big fish” as you called it.

They knew about the murder plot beforehand, so how would they not know about her missing on Nov 26th?
I noticed how carefully MR.R was watching MRS. R during interview. As if worrying if she would stick to their Story. Then she dropped the bomb, and his expression completely changed. That look he shot her. As if she screwed up,and went off script. Cats are hard to round up,after being let out of the bag.
MOO.

LOL, I didn't think of that. Now see, this is where it doesn't pay to be a commitment phobe like PF.

Well, no, I don't think that they have been interviewed by LE, because LE has a better idea of what happened when than these two gossip-mongers do. IMHO, of course.

And anyone apart from KB's family who knew that KB was "missing" on Nov. 26 would also have a pretty good idea that she wasn't on a road trip without her child, suitcase, clothes, or toiletries and in someone else's car.

For reference, again, the story made the news Dec. 2, Websleuths thread was started Dec. 3, press conference with CB was on Dec. 10.

So last week I asked this question to I believe Gitana, lawyer. I was worried she was getting immunity. It has been so long, we know they had a search warrant for her place in mid Dec.

She said that she felt charges would be laid. There isn't a rush. I thought maybe she wouldn't talk without a plea. She said it doesn't work that way, because LE only recommends the plea based on her info. So she talks while her lawyer negotiates.

The LE is probably following up on every lead possible trying to confirm or negate her story, particularly around her claims of him threatening her and her being terrified. I am sure they don't want to do a deal until they think they are sure of everything.

That being said- this was early this week. As time goes on, i get more and more nervous she will get immunity. We'll see.

I am trying to hold on to the fact there is no rush, she isn't a danger to anyone.
If there is any deal to provide information and testify then the deal would not be made with law enforcement but rather with the prosecutor(s) - in KK's situation state and federal prosecutors - since KK has an attorney. No lawyer would settle for the old LE technique of "we'll talk to the DA".

The lawyer would know that if prosecutors did not need her information and could prosecute and convict her without her talking they would have done so. However, if they need her testimony as a prosecution witness against PF - and it seems that they do since she hasn't been charged (as far as we know) - the lawyer is going to insist on a signed deal.
