I don’t believe an individual in an inpatient psychiatric facility can be questioned by LE without a lawyer or patient advocate present especially in a heavily medicated state. I would assume LE wouldn’t even take that risk as any future testimony could be questioned. However, when I worked as an ER nurse we would constantly have to intervene in police to patient questioning unless cleared by the physician. Those were usually DUI related and “minor” criminal cases. In my state a psychiatrist has 72 hours to determine if a patient is a threat to themselves or others before deciding whether to continue inpatient treatment or discharge from care. I don’t think it’s feasible that KK would still be in a inpatient treatment facility after this length of time. IMO If she has an much information and or involvement as it appears I am guessing she is in some type of custody, whether protective or under house arrest. MOO
I had a patient in ICU that killed his wife and then drank Pool Shock treatment. He was still in ICU on the vent with his entire GI tract black/no tongue left (sorry to be graphic) and hours to live d/t peritonitis and the cops stood outside the door and talked with the docs about waking him up to talk to him. He was on Propofol drip while on the vent. They had to have a quick ethics committee meeting to decide. They did allow it, stopped the Propofol and he admitted he killed his wife via pen and clipboard. So yes, Medical has the first say.

That makes sense, to me. One can only hide in a hospital for so long. Remember that NYC nanny who murdered the two kids? She also sliced her throat, was found unconscious, hospitalized, had surgery to save her life and she was still grilled by detectives in the hospital bed and went down for the crime when well enough.

Yes I do recall that! I’ve taken care of incarnated patients and they come in cuffed with a personal guard 24/7.

maybe. the robbery part is really weird.

So PF is reported to have said she was leaving the state...

Again, with the appearance of a robbery?

Robbery and NOT burglary. Leads me to think whoever killed her wanted LE to think she had been robbed and abducted.

What the heck is going on here? I'm again thinking, he successfully solicited.

Same thoughts. It doesn't make sense. Reporting it to the FBI should've been the height of their participation. Why are they associating themselves so much with this case? Are they off their rocker and truly see themselves as heroic and whistleblowers?

IMO, they have an unknown ulterior motive. @riolove77
Replied to my question about their participation. Sorry, Idk if we discussed it in this thread or the previous one.

Because she 'went crazy'- the basis of his story. Crazy people do crazy things! Maybe he said she was so out of her mind I wouldn't give her the keys, so she just left walking. We don't know the content of the conversation, but there was more content than= Haven't seen her since the 22nd'. He had to explain away her cars being there.

Even with the 'went crazy' bit, what did she do, hitchhike to Idaho? He couldn't possibly think people would believe that even a crazy person would hitchhike and not simply turn around and get their own vehicle. The only way it would be remotely believable is if she was having a bipolar reckless-I'm-invincible manic episode. Here and now, thinking back to my Abnormal Psych class, it just is absurd.

But maybe he didn't consider all of that and thought because it sounds "crazy" it would be something a "crazy" person would do.

Hey MassGuy,
I knew you would ride in on the scene and try to save us! Howdy.

So I realize PF is guilty. He is a bad guy. I believe that.

But what about all my other thoughts? You don’t believe KK could be insane and trying to be helpful to her old flame, conjures up an idea to get rid of KB? You think she is just this innocent that helped him out because of love?

I don’t believe she went to WP, CO at Thanksgiving to help him dispose of a phone. I think there was a bigger plan.

I also don’t think (now) that she in any way feared PF. I don’t believe either of them thought they would get caught. I think they thought they would outsmart everyone. I think she was there when he killed Kelsey.

I do agree my imagination is running wild. In my mind, everything was so neatly packaged. But now, after CW and this nut that kidnapped JC,
I think people are capable of doing just about anything. And it disturbs me.

More thoughts?

I obviously don’t know her, but when I don’t know people, I like to play the odds.

When she was first approached, and she told her friend about it, I take this at face value.

It’s far more likely than her trying to set up some sort of deniability.

I think she said no.

When there were subsequent attempts made to solicit her help, I think she may have warmed up to the idea.

Here’s where I’m less confident:

Did she ultimately agree to help him with the events surrounding the murder (lookout, cleanup, etc)?

Or did he contact her after he killed Kelsey, and then ask for her help?

Either way, she knew what she was helping with.

KK has children of her own. The recklessness of her involvement without concern for the consequences on her own children is breathtaking.

Agree. Although we don’t know the full extent of her involvement, this speaks volumes. When you become a parent, you know better and you do better. The former you (and all your vices) becomes a old memory and perhaps a lesson learned. Having your children is the ultimate sacrifice and the greatest joy and love you’ll ever feel. KK’s lack of regard to this #1 focus in her life (her children) has me at a crossroads. IMO, Either A, she had a evil/tortured soul. Or B, she was really in fear for her life and the lives of her children. Of course I want to believe option B, but at this point I’m split down the middle since I haven’t heard her story nor has she been arrested for a crime.

As far as the recent interviews with the R’s....I am so disappointed in their public “tell all”. I just don’t have any words to describe their complete lack of regard for the pain this tragedy has caused the family of KB. I’m just....speechless.

Thank you for that!! Unfortunately that brings me back to “why are they talking “ they can’t honestly believe it will bring them more clients in the future- they are going to be perceived as the lawyer that told on someone (wheter or not it was a client with A/C privilege or not) and they will be known for spreading rumors, not being ethical, guilty for not acting (when they possibly could have saved someone’s life)... IMO - what do they think they will gain??? A couple thousand dollars for an interview- doubt they can retire on that... Am I totally not seeing something???
The only thing I can think of is they did this interview all in one shot and had no idea the backlash after it was aired piecemeal IMO - they may be attempting to protect someone but who?? Something more is going on JMO

What still makes no sense to me is why take the phone to Idaho?

It's like hot potato, I would imagine if you are discussing murder. "Not near my house, Not near mine. If I get caught you get caught"

So why take the phone to Idaho?

Free advertising. Name recognition. Personally, I think they did it because they knew they're involvement was going to come out and they wanted to get ahead of the story.

i think PF devised that part to make it seem that KB was on a trip out of town like he said. just my opinion.

My land...

That was quite the suffering he put on himself.
