I obviously don’t know her, but when I don’t know people, I like to play the odds.

When she was first approached, and she told her friend about it, I take this at face value.

It’s far more likely than her trying to set up some sort of deniability.

I think she said no.

When there were subsequent attempts made to solicit her help, I think she may warmed up to the idea.

Here’s where I’m less confident:

Did she ultimately agree to help him with the events surrounding the murder (lookout, cleanup, etc)?

Or did he contact her after he killed Kelsey, and then ask for her help?

Either way, she knew what she was helping with.
Yeah I forgot to mention the three solicitations. I wish LE would say who those solicitations were made to. I don’t believe it was just KK.

I still believe there was a third person somewhere in this story. I am absolutely convinced she knew the plan before she arrived in WP and she was there to see him commit the murder. I’m not clear what happened after and if the third person was involved after the fact. I think so.

ETA: I am starting to not make sense. I think I will go to bed. Thanks for your thoughts. I always enjoy your posts.

What still makes no sense to me is why take the phone to Idaho?

It's like hot potato, I would imagine if you are discussing murder. "Not near my house, Not near mine. If I get caught you get caught"

So why take the phone to Idaho?

So she could monitor calls/texts? Know how many ppl, trying to reach KB? Jmo

i think PF devised that part to make it seem that KB was on a trip out of town like he said. just my opinion.
I think so too, but why not throw it out in northern Colorado, Wyoming, or Utah? Why keep it until you're near home?

I'm 99.9% sure that was the intent.

Why she would drive to come get it, rather than insist he buy a yellow envelope, stick it in, and send it out from a different county is beyond me.

Yes, Forensic Files has shown you can narrow down purchases (yellow envelope) to place/time/etc. But it has also shown that driving hundreds of miles, being documented on cameras (likely), using your credit/debit card to buy food and gas (likely), stopping to pee at a gas station (likely) can also point to those involved in the crime.

I think there are more players involved as well IMO

I am suggesting that the was his explanation.
Tysm, I didn’t know.

Interesting story on your former patient. Helps explain to some how police can’t drag a patient from the hospital.

Perhaps because the average person may not know about cell phone pings and it didn’t occur to her she could be tracked? JMO

Couple who exposed Patrick Frazee knew he planned to murder Kelsey Berreth weeks before her death | Daily Mail Online

SABBMFAA:
It is also unclear whether the Rockstahls were compensated in any way for their exclusive interviews, which ran on CBS affiliates around the country over the course of three nights.

Berreth's brother meanwhile is also questioning the validity of the couple's story, writing: 'I’m beginning to wonder if these people are full of s*** and just feeding a story for a reward.'

'Wow! Owners of a law firm and they didn’t do a DAMN thing. Heroes?!?! Are you f’n kidding me?!?! They’re monsters!' wrote the victim's brother Clint Berreth on Facebook.

Well, we know where KB's brother stands on the R's publicity stunt.
I stand with him.

Because you have dif’ morals.
Some have suggested she (KK) to be a drug dealer to P.
That’s grasping. IMO. There’s been no reports drugs are involved.
From what I’ve read in MSM, including the R statement
“He has a hold on her”, I interpret as KK in love or obsessed. Meaning she will oblige him. Because “he has a hold on her.”
I don’t take it to mean she sells, uses, buys or steal drugs.
I also don’t believe it means he is blackmailing her.
Maybe because I’ve used & heard the same term. After my husband died, before I dated, a friend even said, “Sam still has a hold on you”. Yea. He did. I couldn’t move forward.
The mere fact KK is involved at all implies to me she loves P & was willing to do as he asked, according to L.e, his arrest, etc.
Respectfully, we only have KK's third-hand word that she has some kind of relationship with him. I think he had zero romantic interest in either KB or KK, at least he wants to keep all relationships quiet . KK and he might be friends with benefits, but I don't believe he wanted to be with either of them permanently. My question is, if she will do anything for him, why is she flipping on him now? Wouldn't her overpowering love cause her to sacrifice herself?

I believe she helped him and he may have set her up to take the fall with the phone. I could see the two of them going to KB's house, he murders KB, tells her to take the purse and phone to make it look like a robbery. Maybe he came back later alone to clean up, so now it doesn't look like a robbery, it looks like she left with only her purse and phone. Tells her to use the phone, send the texts so LE will look for someone in that direction someone she is riding with, maybe someone who lives near TF, ID. MOO.

What can do w/o a camera knowing? Criminals, I guess, do t think about every move being recorded.

@PommyMommy saves the day!

I remember this now. There are pages of posts about it. I'm still not sure about any of what she said.
I think that the aunts comment was based on what PF told CB...” last text i received is she is visiting grandma” - the reason i believe that is MOO is that she also states KB dropped of baby k to him - which I believe has been verified by le and neighbors was not the case - he picked up the baby... so my guess is that the aunt was piecing events together... however... I truly believe KB broke it off with him. She even bought her home on her own... I think she had planned to stay and co-parent. Then... I believe he didn’t like that she was able to make life work without him and things went bad - maybe co-parenting wasn’t enough for him (or others in his family) would not surprise me... anyway my 2 cents, MOO

I'm curious if medical professionals would treat it differently, if it's not a dying declaration though. Obviously dragging that guy from the hospital would kill him, he was barely alive as is. But if the doctor doesn't have a sound diagnosis on KK (she's probably there to avoid LE) I wonder if the physician will eventually say she's ok to speak to them.

Then I don't think they would have taken it from the area to make it look like KB headed to Washington. They knew it would ping somewhere, or they would have left it.

I think that is very plausible. The only thing that challenges it is, he was obviously planning this for some time (since September, I believe). Why would he switch from robbery to run away? He had to have had this planned out somewhat, particularly how he wanted her disappearance to "appear" to others.

maybe she babysat the child while PF killed his child's mother.

I do believe she was in KBs home when the murder was committed. Right now I still believe PF committed the murder but I sure think she could have helped, maybe with some type of drug. Maybe she is sick enough to want to see KB tortured. Maybe she and KB had words before. But what a sicko PF is if he actually asked her to commit the murder. Look, LE isn’t talking. But are we sure he solicited KK three times? Maybe he solicited someone else and when they said no, he turned to her. We don’t know if people are talking to LE or where KK is. But we do know people are talking to each other. This case gets weirder. Maybe it’s because we are told absolutely nothing. :(

I do agree she is guilty of more than stealing a phone and disposing of it.

I think so too, but why not throw it out in northern Colorado, Wyoming, or Utah? Why keep it until you're near home?

Because PF's story was she was going to Idaho to visit her sick grandmother I think.

So PF is reported to have said she was leaving the state...

Again, with the appearance of a robbery?

Robbery and NOT burglary. Leads me to think whoever killed her wanted LE to think she had been robbed and abducted.

What the heck is going on here? I'm again thinking, he successfully solicited.
Yeah, doesn't make a lot of sense does it?
ok, i just read something in a post that i don't remember seeing before and that is KB's aunt saying, "She broke up with her ex on Thanksgiving". where did the aunt get that? from PF? or did she get that from CB[mom] and accidentally let it slip? thanks for any insights.
In the earlier threads, I think we came to a general consensus that this is what PF told CB, and when the aunt took to SM (to request truckers be on the lookout, for one) she posted the information and was later asked by CB to delete it.

It really confused things but I believe it was the family's understanding at the time. There's an article that quotes cousin JG, after the family heard about the ID phone ping, saying they considered it may be true that KB was traveling to WA because her grandmother was in poor health.
Pasco relatives pray for miracle as search continues for missing Colorado mother
