From Trudie's link above-

Queens of the Magic Valley Stampede Queen KK says she has always enjoyed helping a good cause.
"Rodeo queens don't really have a good reputation, so it's important that we get involved in the community

Haha, not the description of a Rodeo Queen that I expected! Words from a Rodeo Queen.

I guarantee you that people in Redwood City had heard of Scott Peterson by the time that case went to trial. But theoretically, you get a larger jury pool in an urban area, not to mention people who are not related to, or friends/friends of friends with any of the parties.
Thank you, you described what I was trying to say much better than I did.

Those rekindling things are touchy. I fell in love with a red headed boy when I was 14. At 17, we broke up because of Vietnam and both of us got married to other people. Every time a divorce happened, (him more than I) we rekindled. And each and every time, I wondered why the heck I was doing this to myself because he would break it off. At 65, this sucker showed up again, red hair white as snow. I agreed to try again, only this time before he left, I told him I had always been madly in love with him only now since I lived my life without him, I had no intentions in letting go of him this time.
Point of the story....if this guy showed up one more time at my door, I was going to have to kill him! So ladies....you wanna never see a man again, tell him of your undying love and wanting to plan your lives together for all time, and you don't have to kill anyone! They run like the wind! Even when they're 65! :D:rolleyes::D
great. reminded me of the beatles song, "when i'm 64" if he shows up again play that on a loop.

Yes. The Holly Bobo case comes to mind, as one example.

There were many co-defendants in that case, arrests of the animals involved were made over the course of several months.

Jeez, I just looked at her case in Wiki. What a mess!

I've been busy with work but trying my best to keep up.

I feel that having LE influence in the family for PF, has possibly helped him. I'm not saying they're involved at all. What I am saying is that he most likely has learned a thing or two about a thing or two in this type of situation. IMO

I also am still leaning towards him being involved in something nefarious that KB accidentally figured out. Again IMO if you search on fb. Cowboy & convicts team roping assn. you will see him in some pics.

Edited to add: when I mean help, I mean through random conversation over the years might have learned a thing or two about evidence.

PP, I understand and agree with what you are saying here.

I think his strategy of complete silence comes as a result of having LE in his family.

Has probably heard a tale or two about idiot suspects who opened their mouths wide and said, "Ahhhh...did it."

JMO.

It's not an emergency if they pre-planned it. By definition, emergencies are unexpected. A ridiculous and risky 16 hour round-trip drive for a phone is something that easily could've been circumvented and made easier with planning---which he was doing.

He could've just as easily sent that phone by mail and accomplished the same thing.

There is no way he waited until Friday night to tell her: "hey, I killed Kelsey yesterday. Drive down here tomorrow (Saturday) and get Kelsey's phone...the one I could've dropped in a dropbox last night and would be to you probably tomorrow, Monday at the latest had I done so."

How would he know she would be able to? What if she was working that weekend? What if she had plans that weekend? He knew none of this was happening because it was planned and KK knew about it. If her sole role was the phone, the less risky way to handle it would be to mail it to her.

Great post!!! I agree, this was pre-planned ... IMHO KK knew exactly what she was getting herself into, and I don’t believe that she was fearful - one doesn’t drive towards fear, but hopefully instead reports any threats or solicitations.

I personally believe KK was more involved than just be handed a phone to take back to Idaho. I still think it may have been taken there to “show” that Kelsey was heading away from CO, even though she wasn’t in her own car (insert eye roll). What doesn’t make sense to me is WHY would she be involved? Surely love can’t cause someone to assist in a murder, unless she is just as evil as PF, but in reality, it wouldn’t be the first time in history. JMHO ...

Landfill. Oh boy.

NEW: The search for evidence in the #KelseyBerreth case now includes at least one Colorado landfill, @ABC has learned. Berreth vanished November 22. Her body has not been found. Her fiancé Patrick Frazee is accused of murder.

It makes me ill to think that is where they will find her. I hope not, but it's possible. I'm just thinking of those industrial strength Glad garbage bags. They are huge and thick plastic and certainly large enough for someone as tiny as KB. PF could easily have found a dumpster locally during the first few days no one was looking for her. And, since he had this planned in advance, he could have known exactly when the disposal truck would come for the dumpster to take it to the landfill :(
MOO

Something obviously led LE here.
Maybe a receipt? Maybe an in -the-know person? (If related to KB case, cops in my county are at LF daily).
Disgusting as this is to consider, it’s better than never knowing, moo.

Are we to assume that KK's Thanksgiving trip to CO was aimed at further improving the reputation of Rodeo Queens, and spreading the knowledge about their good work?

We don’t know for sure they’re looking for her body there, but I think it’s very likely.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time someone has disposed of a body that way, and this would jibe with my dismemberment speculation.

I posed that theory as an explanation for why law enforcement apparently missed forensic evidence on their initial searches.

Gross, but it’s commonly performed in a bathtub.

What if KK had nothing to do with this? What if all the rumors are not true? What if the R’s are just nutty? What if PF did have a flame but it wasn’t KK. Maybe the woman does lives in Idaho or the next State over? What if the protected witness is a man and LE knows he helped and he is cooperating? Maybe KK is on an island and taking a leave of absence because of all the gossip. I am to the point where I am out of guesses . One thing we know. They have their suspect in custody.

I believe PF might have had a flame, but it was neither KB nor KK. He did not love either. To kill KB, he used KK. What would have happened to his real flame down the road, one can only imagine.

But of course. Landfill.

This is PF we're talking about here.

If the search of the landfill comes up empty, LE might want to check under his bed.

Yep I am agreeing with that and it's sad when you look at stats how many are put in waste disposal bins and landfills and they don't find them. I know of one personally that was murdered and the killer was caught told the police check the landfill iput her in a bin

Oh, I don’t doubt he had more than KK/KB corralled. I said yesterday, maybe both were nothing more than thorns in his side. Kill one, incriminate the other. They’re both gone. However, he’s not riding off in the sunset with a new cowgirl, imo.
