I know my anger is not at all aimed at you. It's for the people talking, and gushing over <modsnip - demeaning nickname > and others that have spoken to the media, Including CK <modsnip> and this Rodeo Association Friend.
So concerned with what the public think of them, PF,and KK with absolutely Zero concern for KB,or her family.

P was a good ol boy, loved by the good ol boy community here in teller county. This is the only reason I can see why so many people here defend him. It's sick. If it was anyone else, an "outsider" , a "non-native" , a pot smoker, non Christian, these people would crucify them. But Bc he's one of
Them,
The town is quiet, the FB pages are heavily moderated and you better keep your mouth shut if you think he is guilty. That's how I feel any way, IMO MOO.

KB's two vehicles were parked in the two spots closest to her door. The next door neighbor opposite her door saw what she saw between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. No one else saw anything. The keys to both vehicles were either in the condo or in the purse, which were both under the control of the perpetrator at the point a body would have been removed. He/she could have parked anywhere they felt like parking, as there are no witnesses to even hint further location.
In the cases I have studied, murderers rarely pay much attention to details like who usually parks where and whose nose is glued to the window. They just do it.
IMO

I wonder if the other spaces were empty or the neighbors were parked in those spots. Is that parking shared with her neighbor?

One is only “blocked” in if they intend to leave & can’t, imo.

@NoeticSoul and you are welcome! I've been sick the last few days and today, so I haven't walked the dog :( it's cold and overcast today. A good snow day. Temperatures are dropping. We certainly need all the snow we can get. But, Wondering if they made it into the landfill yet.

I think If they wanted to ambush KB, they would've parked at one of the many parking lots on Henrietta street. There's a big parking lot at the library and behind the cultural center. And across the street from that lot is an empty parking lot where you can park and get a free bus ride to cripplw creek to gamble. There are many parking spaces bordering memorial park. All of this is 1-2 blocks from Kelsey's.

So far nothing on the news about the Landfill again, yet. Aww feel better! Yeah crappy day but I agree we need the snow/water badly!

This biggest drug epidemic WAS opioids, several years ago. The media and the DEA have not caught up with the times. Opioids used to be prescribed willy nilly, back when so-called "pain pill clinics" were popular. Since federal regulation has put stricter prescribing rules on opioids and the majority of those clinics have closed (while actual pain management centers which use a variety of pain management methods continue to stay open), opioids have become harder and hard to get. The current epidemic is homemade Fentanyl-laced heroin, meth, and old-fashioned heroin. In most places, it is now easier and much cheaper to buy heroin off the streets than it is to buy opioids. It used to be that small towns and rural communities were seeing opioid abuse and never saw heroin. That has flipped. Heroin is everywhere now.
Yes, and just as an example of this, we just had a record breaking number of overdoses in the area (rural) of 16 fatal overdoses due to fentanyl laced heroin in a one month period. The usual amount is 2-3. This is on the east coast, but it's happening everywhere. Imo

Don't you live in the area? We could probably settle this if someone in town could do a drive by and see how much space there is.

I'm not convinced that how he parked means anything in this case. However, I also think that the parking area for all of the homes in that little pocket neighborhood is very small, and I bet there is no other area for anybody to park a third car for very long. Her address is on Lake Street, but Lake is actually the street behind the row of duplexes, and I think there is a driveway that comes in between two of the duplexes for access to all of them. IIRC, parking is not allowed on Lake Street itself and there is no sidewalk for Lake Street. Because of the slope, it doesn't look like it would be easy to access the duplex from Lake Street by walking across the grass. I don't think there are overflow spaces for the duplexes like there might be in an apartment complex, and I bet your neighbors would get upset pretty quickly if you blocked other people in or out.

But I could be wrong. If the driveway that access the parking spaces is a public street or alley, maybe somebody could take a looksee.

I have previously posted photos as I walked down the alley past her home. There is no parking on Lake st. It would be hard to squeeze theee cars there, you'd have to "block someone in". ill try to see if I can find those photos I took. I'm not feeling well today so I don't think I'll be leaving my home.

Here's another photo showing you couldn't park behind Kelsey's condo:

Oh, well this shows the scene pretty well, from a 2-dimensional perspective. There is a sidewalk on Lake Street!

It looks like KB's neighbor in the adjoining unit had a little patch of grass in front, and it looks like that only leaves one parking spot. That patch doesn't go in front of KB's unit. At some point, a previous owner of KB's place probably took out the grass in front of KB's unit to add a second parking spot. I don't see any overflow parking.

JMO, who knows IF he said it and IF the statement falls under hearsay or would be an exception.

True. Especially since we are talking about a woman who said an employee told her something someone told her that another person told her.
If that makes sense. Don't know how that works. Even if KK testified at one point as to what he said couldn't it still be hearsay? Imo

  • #357
Yes, the neighbor said that. I and others interepret that as a means of control.
You don't have to block someone's car. You can park elsewhere.
imo
Oh dear, dont get me wrong, I'm certainly not defending anything perp did, just pointing out it was not unusual for him to pull in behind her two vehicles according to the neighbor, like it was just his norm. And her place being at the end of the parking area, it would appear the way he always parked still made him always have to back out that big truck (I drive a big Ram, they're a pain to maneuver in close quarters) to leave, so I would imagine he just always pulled in where it was convenient. Emphasis on the word IMAGINE. And sure, I suppose it could be a means of control and it was big plan of his all along to block her in on the day of the murder, but it gets into conspiracy territory for me and I suck at it. That said, I think with his telling people she "disappeared" before looked like a set up. But I don't know if he's THAT conniving to have started plotting her murder months before with spreading weird stories about her. Then again, first solicitation was Sept, who knows what else he'd been plotting, right?
And now it's snowing again here in Colorado, covering up possible evidence.

Hello everyone, I have been reading on websleuths for quite some time, but this is my first post. I can’t seem to keep up with reading the threads, so I always feel like I am late to the party. The wit and intelligence displayed here can be very refreshing and enlightening. You all need to become journalists and return some dignity to that profession. Anyways...

I would like to weigh in on the discussion regarding how KKL might have traveled to CO and back.

I regularly make a 10hr drive, and have done 15hr straight. I have driven 20hrs round trip in under 72hrs. That was tiring but possible. As an experienced driver in decent physical condition I find it is not difficult, but almost relaxing at times and good for thinking. I am older than KKL but might be in better shape. No Sonic burgers for me, lol.

But when I read the post in which Gardener1850 postulated that KKL took a private plane, I had to consider this a real possibility for several reasons.

I have friends who are pilots, and I’m not all that well connected or anything. It may be more common in some places than people think. When I have been to small airports, the atmosphere (as I believe Dave F mentioned) can be quite casual. I have been to very small airports where I saw no one other than the pilot I was with. Seems crazy in this modern era but this has been recently. Also they are supposed to file flight plans but do not always do so, nor do they always stick to a flight plan in practice. So she could have flown quite “under the radar” so to speak.

Someone else mentioned that CB talked about people potentially seeing KB as she drove towards Pueblo and surmised that possibly her phone had pinged in that direction, which is towards her work, an airport, which would seem logical. Let’s assume for a moment that did happen.

Then came the cellphone ping in Gooding. I remember reading that there is a landing strip there by the Snake River, within the range where the cellphone would’ve pinged that one isolated tower. I bet that landing strip is not usually overrun with people since it is out in the middle of nowhere. I am just guessing here.

The reason I think this is so plausible is because I think PF and KKL could have thought it was really clever to make it appear that KB had flown somewhere. Maybe some shady associate of KKL had their own reason to be in CO for Thanksgiving. KKL’s verbosity aside, the rodeo crowd is very insular and they tend to keep quiet and stand by their own. So I don’t think that individual would’ve necessarily come forward.

And, as someone else pointed out, that scenario would give some context to why BFF told the Rs that KB was a pilot “also.”

Like others have said, I am not really attached to this theory, I just believe it is way more possible than some are making it out to be.

Sorry I wrote a novella for my first post, much of it a recap, but I wanted to be thorough! Prayers to KB and family and may justice be served!

MOO.

I have to chuckle a little here, he's been crucified in several posts on FB; but I tend to read the ones that aren't populated by local Frazee defenders, so I think I'm missing what you're experiencing. Stay strong! We had property in Divide in Rainbow Ridge(? gosh i can't remember if it was Ridge or something else) and darn near built a house up there...then life intervened and we wound up north. But I feel like this case is in my backyard, you know? (corrected spelling)

A friend I frequently visit has a very short driveway. I MUST park horizontally. If not, my vehicle hangs over the sidewalk & can jut out in the road, as well.
Our LE will issue citations for hanging over the walk or not having vehicle completely off the road.
Sidewalks here are for pedestrians, kids, kids on toys, etc. they are not expected to veer around cars.
If KB expected P, he did not block her in, imo.
If they had plans for him to pick up the baby, why would he park elsewhere? Jmo
