I think one point that is worth mentioning is that when she was determined to have possession of the phone law enforcement had to rule KL out as a potential suspect in a homicide versus a totally different standard of conduct. This is a really BIG difference. I think this may become clear when we know the manner of death, imo, because we do not know where KB is located. One other point, KL may have for hospital policy been on LOA but she was under arrest and had multiple search warrants to LE. I am still stupified by someone asking her to actually murder someone and driving that far with a victim's phone. This takes a special kind of person, imo. I hope we have the facts all wrong and she is a great witness for the prosecution.

Yup. WS members have indeed solved cases. Mostly UID's. In fact, one member actually found evidence the state missed (in the Casey Anthony case) that would've been pivotal.

But yeah, it's the job of LE. They are the pros. They don't rely on us. However, this site is for us amateurs to try and discuss and try to figure out things with the info we have, which is typically minimal compared with what the authorities have.

But this is a pro LE site. We don't tend to start from the position that LE is stupid, inept or making unreasonable deals and that we know better than them.
Gitana, I am pro prosecution. I have NEVER said LE or the DA is stupid. That is your assumption. I can disagree with you about plea deals and I would appreciate it if you allowed me to have my own opinion.

I am very well aware of how Katykoolaid found the cement blocks used by SP, etc. but she didn’t solve the case. Old fashioned detective work did. And I never said I know better than LE. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Excuse my ignorance but does she possibly know where Kelsey's body is?

  • #744
No I didn’t say a mistake was being made. The question asked was do we think the DA is stupid? I am saying no. But he is human. Human beings make mistakes. Not every DA wins every case. Otherwise, Casey Anthony would be on death row and OJ Simpson would be in prison. So I don’t see this case as being a slam dunk and we don’t know any details yet. I see it as a win for the DA when the jury agrees with the DA. We will have to see.
But what mistakes were made in those cases by the DA that are comparable to this case? Can we even compare them?

I have asked myself this a thousand times!!! I would think there is a good chance she would know the manner of death since she was being asked to perform the act. This might help.

No it's not remote rural countries, That's in the movies, it's ANYWHERE.

We will agree to disagree. I'm absolutely pro LE in this case.

Optimistic

St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital has reported KL no longer works there. True

Maybe KL quit because the plea deal she took involves significant jail time.

Here's to hoping

Well, yes, but why would we assume that they would make a mistake? Is there some reason to think they made a mistake in this case?
Of course not. Not yet. That wasn’t suggested in this case. Just said they are human. We all are.

  • #750
I'm hoping she does.
Agree, and I bet that's the info (location of Kelsey's body) she traded to get a plea agreement

  • #751
I don't believe this is a mistake. I'm confident the feds can and will charge KL if she is the one who sent the texts impersonating KB.

JMO
Are you speaking about the plea deal? That is all I was speaking of. We don’t even know what the deal is yet. It may be magnificent. Hope it is.

I think it more likely her plea deal means her nursing license is revoked.

That may be sometimes true in remote, rural counties but I think the DA in this case knows what he is doing.

I have seen issues with large city DA's offices where politics, optics, desires to run for other high political offices, campaign contributions and so on result in injustices. I trust career prosecutors in small Teller County more. But, they do have to prove their case. I completely understand the concerns of posters about KKL's level of involvement and self-serving manuevers. Fascinating case in all of its aspects.

I think the timing of KL is all well orchestrated by LE to keep media at bay.

1 week before the prelim

My guess is they could have had her pleading guilty weeks ago, but they waited until closer to the date of his preliminary hearing to continue to keep things quiet and the case out of the press.

My worry is they will continue to keep the case sealed on Feb 19- no reason to think that, but that's where my mind is going

IMO, I doubt it. I think she was solicited. I think she took the phone out of town, texted, and disposed of it, and maybe disposed of the purse too. We’ll see. I’ll be shocked if she gets any type of real prison time, because it just seems like people who help either get little punishment or walk.

If she has any brain at all she should tell them where to find her body. I'm sure it would get her a lighter sentence and also let Kelsey's family give her a proper burial. Seems like PF would want to tell LE where to find Kelsey's body so his own daughter would have a gravesite to visit her mother.

I doubt it. I think she’s been talking to law enforcement for a very long time, and the fact that Kelsey’s body has not been found, speaks volumes.

I think only PF knows.

I think the board of nursing has to file an accusation, which they aren't going to do before charges have been laid because they have nothing to back it up with. But I could be wrong.

PF doesn’t give a crap about Kelsey or her having a gravesite. Or anyone having one for her. It’s all about him. :(

Or she knows and there is no body to be found and has told them that. I do think if she knows anything she has sung like a bird. Guess we will find out...
