Given how it's gone so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see the case sealed after the 19th.
❓Even though the case is sealed. Court will be open to the public ?

No, they don't need an open disciplinary action for the hospital to fire her. We're talking about her possible license revocation. KK will already have apprised the nursing board (separate entity from the hospital) of her charges and what her plea will be. Well, she will if she's smart because they'll find out anyway. Being terminated from the hospital is one thing, having her license revoked or suspended is another thing entirely. You can be fired from a hospital and not lose your license.
I'm confident a nurse entering a guilty plea in a case involving premeditated murder is grounds for both termination and license revocation.

I’m ready to crucify her for even the smallest amount of involvement here.

I think we can all agree that she knew what she was doing when she transported that phone, and was morally and ethically bankrupt when she didn’t report the solicitation.

But in the interest of justice, I can accept her not facing the full wrath of the justice system, if she puts PF away.
I think it would be good to actually hear from her, since we haven’t at all up to this point. Or we can take the Salem approach - throw her in the water and if she swims then she’s guilty and we burn her at the stake. If she sinks, we’ll give her a funeral befitting her proven innocence.

I was surprised the court docket is in her maiden name. Even her current nursing license is in her married name and they are very strict about immediately updating your info.

Just an FYI for those interested in seeing how things progress with KL's license status. The nursing board meeting agendas will state when someone has voluntarily given up their license or when there is disciplinary action taken or a license revoked. They only use initials in the agenda, but it's a way to see if KL is on their agenda and if so, what action was taken.

In defense of rural areas, just because we chose to live in a rural area, does not mean that we are uneducated or stupid.

Back to work...

mickey, have I told you lately that I love you(r) (posts)? Because I do.

Thanks so much for this!

Now, work hard and prosper!

In that she's already guilty of knowing about a solicitation for murder, I wouldn't characterize this on any level as a witch hunt.

BBM -- I appreciate that the spokeswoman cannot bear to utter her name -- "she whose name shall not be spoken."

There are many other names, that we cannot bear to utter: in the recent case CW and NK, and loads more in the many other evil Creeps, many now in prison.
For those in Prison, I hope we hear about them only, when placed into coffins.
MOO.

From the interviews with the couple who employed her friend, KL doesn't come across as someone with even an ounce of moral integrity.

A public defender with a great reputation and funds to defend him. I wasn’t speaking of his first attorney.

Public defenders get a bad rap. Some do great work and I hear this one is very respected in the community. Plus he has a whole team to work with him.

I think the prosecution has their work cut out for them.
There is always a body to be found, or evidence of a body’s disposal.

Burning leaves remnants, so does virtually every other method of destroying human remains.

He didn’t dump her in the middle of the ocean.

We’ll see.

The bottom of a mine might be as bad as the middle of the ocean. I still have hope though. I have to believe there was something left of her even if just blood or the memory of an accomplice who has decided to talk.

I would have thought her family would have said she came forward because she thought he had done something terrible, or because it was the right thing to do. Saying she was scared makes it sound like that was the only reason she came forward.
I don't doubt that was the reason I'm just surprised her family made the statement. Imo
IKR?

All that matters is that the prosecution has heard from her, and has apparently reached a mutual decision as to a plea deal.

That deal means that she is guilty of something criminal, which was precisely my point.

It ain’t a witch hunt if someone truthfully confesses to being a witch.

And her minimum level of involvement, tells me that she is not a good person.

I wasn’t being literal. Obviously.

It’s good progress, (at least it appears to be at this point).

We have been playing “wait and see” since day 1 but I truly do believe the fact that PF was charged pretty quickly and without a body is proof that the DA has a solid case. It only seems logical that without that body, KL’s testimony will go a long way towards showing jurors that “body” even if there isn’t one. (World’s most awkward sentence..)

I would love to see KL found guilty of every single bit of her involvement but if we have to sacrifice her to make sure he doesn’t go free... I guess it’s the lesser of evils.

Some of y’all are hangry tonight :p

This is interesting, yet not surprising.

BREAKING: Krystal Kenney is facing charges of Tampering with Physical Evidence-Destroy. Formal complaint was filed today, though she hasn’t been formally charged. Plus, prosecutors have a date in question. I’ll explain coming up on @KOAA

Based on the paperwork filed, police believe Kenney destroyed evidence on Nov. 24. That’s two days after Berreth was last seen publicly. #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee @KOAA

Why not? None of us know the nature of the interactions between her and PF. We really know practically nothing. I guess I just don’t understand the degree of venom that so many are directing toward this person that we haven’t even heard from yet. And to do it with such certainty. And it absolutely can be compared to a witchhunt, because those people in Salem were in a lot of cases guilty of something or other, but not something worth dying for.

Thanks for finding and posting that link. I hope the BON has been following this case with regard to an ID nurse's alleged involvement in a crime in another state and will be ready to handle her license appropriately when the time comes and the court documents are available.

Just wondering what her actual legal surname is. Her divorce was in 2016. She's renewed her license since then.

I want it to be more than this :(

Do we know what the sentence is for that charge?

No one is saying the legal process doesn’t have to play out, it certainly does.

We don’t know the nature of her involvement, we know that we don’t know that.

She was solicited three times, and did nothing.

Not only did she do nothing, she then went on to destroy evidence and mislead an investigation.

I am absolutely passing judgement on her, and I am completely unapologetic about that. I can say with absolutely certainty, that she is a terrible human being.

The court of public opinion is one thing, and a court of law is another.

Both have their say.
