Seems like when LE goes looking for perps, they should start by checking on the ones still living at home!Ha ha, all these dudes and their mothers...Cases get confusing.
I wonder if tomorrow at the custody hearing how pf's family is going to react will they know all the info and fold or are they going to fight ? I think how they go forward will give us a idea how pf is going to proceed@Corrupted1967 I think we need to know about more charges pending as the public prior to Friday.
And no news about the landfill search? What's the temp there now? It's eased up here in the midwest.Good morningCold, extra windy and snow today in Colorado Springs! Weirdly, so far, there is ZERO news about KK and her Friday court appearance, on any channel. Must be old news already.
I just messaged Shawn Groggins who wrote the article, asking him to clarify phrase accomplice. If I hear back, I will share, of course.@susiQ I agree and I think we want to know going into Friday. We all suspect it is true from the circumstances but this source should clarify before she gets probation and a fine.
Oh yeah!I'm guessing that when her new high profile attorney sees exactly what the DA has on her, she'll "highly" recommend KK take the deal and runJMO

Authorities connect Twin Falls, Idaho woman to murder of ex-Warden woman
That is not the DA's language. Not even close.Did you guys read this or am I nuts? A suspected accomplice what???!!! Is this just strong language related to the tampering or is she an accomplice??? I would NOT use this language if not.
UPDATE 7:25 p.m. - At 3:12 p.m., the 4th Judicial District Attorney in Teller County announced that Krystal Lee, a suspected accomplice in the murder of Kelsey Berreth, will appear in court for a hearing on Friday Feb. 8. Lee faces one count of tampering with physical evidence, a class 6 felony that carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $2,500 fine. "
No, it's not. This is the tweet from the DA:No. This is the court announcement. Right?
This is a Washington news source who has inserted their own version of KKL's involvement into their story and attributed it to the DA.No it was from this link
eta wrong link I need to find it

Immediate arrest and hold is mandatory under the Murder in the First Degree statute. It is not mandatory for Class 6 felonies, or a whole range of other Colorado crimes. A convict cannot enter the penal/probation system without the customary "booking", so it will happen eventually. Nowadays, the Hearing on Advisement is more commonly done by utilizing appearance via remote television hookup. If there's a big TV set facing the judge on Friday morning, it's perhaps not there for him to watch GMA.yeah, the mugshot not being present at this time seems to fit the arrest, if there was one, being on the downlow to protect the witnesses. or witness. it does not mean, imo, there is no mugshot just that it has not been released by LE. i do not see the motions today as anyway a recant of previous statements KK made to LE which were used to bring this charge. i see it as though now she knows that she is officially in CO court jurisdiction and her somewhat new CO legal team is covering all bases going foward. but, hey, i'm not a lawyer in CO so my opinions are just that, MOO.
Pardon me for being so basic, but if she enters a plea of guilty on Friday, would that be an indication that she might have felt she was guilty? IMODevil's advocate here, but would you hire a divorce attorney to represent you in a case where you're potentially looking at a murder charge if you were completely innocent? Not likely. I think hiring a high powered attorney speaks to the magnitude of the crime, not likelihood of innocence or guilt.
Interesting. I didn't realize that Dru Nielson was representing her. She is a very good defense attorney.
I doubt she has ever been in custody or was ever arrested formally. But, there is already a case filed with her name on it, a CR case. She has to be in custody doesn't she?
@Noharg I just went to the website as well and tried to look at DA press releases. Technically, the writer is not wrong (morally) but it might be out of context legally. Other articles have not used accomplice. Txs much!.I just messaged Shawn Groggins who wrote the article, asking him to clarify phrase accomplice. If I hear back, I will share, of course.

Accepting a plea is admitting guilt.Pardon me for being so basic, but if she enters a plea of guilty on Friday, would that be an indication that she might have felt she was guilty? IMO

No, it's not. This is the tweet from the DA:
4th Judicial DA on Twitter
A hearing for Krystal Jean Kenney (Lee) has been set for 8:30 Friday, Feb. 8, in Div. 11 - Teller County. (She faces 1 count of Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class 6 Felony.) #2019CR17

ETA: And, they could be correct! But the DA didn't say that.
And lots of billable hours for the attorney!
I'm guessing that they are in no hurry to begin the landfill search and will wait for optimal conditions. MOONo landfill news either at all. It's been warm here all week in the 50's during the day 20-30's at night. Usually about 10 degrees cooler in Woodland Park and more snow--but that is not where the landfill is. Expecting a little snow and wind but that's all.
So, I'm wondering if Mr. Frazee is fondly remembering his cowboy sweetheart these days?
