My hope is that the reason so much time elapsed between the time we first learned about KK and today is because the prosecution was considering all possible angles the PF’s defense team might try to establish reasonable doubt by blaming KK. And that by now they feel they have answers and responses to any attempts.
I hope so, but it’s awful that she will probably get so little punishment. I guess sometimes you have to make a deal with a demon to get the devil.
Exactly

I agree.
He's a bully and a control freak, and will do everything he can to take her down with him
Exactly right and which, by the way, is EXACTLY what he would have likely done if she had defied him and gone to the police. JMO

After looking at the video did anyone else think KK kind of looked pregnant? That said, it could have just been the camera angle or the manner in which she was holding her coat in front of her. It is also very possible I am delirious as the kids are home due to a "snow day" :)

That might be a good question to ask someone from the press.

Right. Sorry if this is offending you. I certainly don’t want to offer up photos of myself on my best day for criticism, I am certain there are many different ways that I could improve my appearance. I get it.

Eventhough there is no jury in this case, I am offering an opinion on the legal strategy of her appearance in the courtroom. To me, KKL looked more like a TV villain than the innocent first-time offender that had been described in the objection to Expanded Media Coverage.

We’ve all seen the schoolmarm courtroom makeovers and whatever the heck the Aurora theater shooter had going on during his trial. Ack. I just really expected something different today. That is all.

MOO!

I hear ya. We all discussed how Jodi Arias changed her 'look' when she came to court. And how they made Inmate Casey look tiny, by moving her chair lower, and dressing her in baggy shirts.

Just because we might think something should be criminal, doesn’t make it so.

We hate what she did.

We hate her for what she did.

But that doesn’t change the fact that not reporting solicitation of murder, is not criminal.

We don’t have to like it, but that is the law.
I love your posts. They always give me a good "slap in the face" and wake me up to what is reality :)

They asked about KK's demeanor. How her demeanor has been.

I think the fact that KK won't be sentenced till after PF trial says alot imo. I'm not a lawyer but it leads me to believe that if anything comes out that KK was in fact not telling the complete truth, the deal will be taken off the table IMO...any verified attorneys care to weigh in?

Correct. Her end of the deal is testifying and right now we don't know when that is...or how she'll perform.

Krystal Lee Kenney has just officially entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of tampering with evidence in the #KelseyBerreth case.

BREAKING: Idaho nurse Krystal Lee pleads guilty to tampering with evidence in #KelseyBerreth case. Judge says WHEN sentencing happens, she could get 12-18 months in prison, community corrections, or probation. Could also be 90 days in county jail. @KKTV11News

In her words: Idaho nurse crying as she describes how she helped accused killer hide victim #kelseyberreth cell phone.
I wish I could find empathy but I can’t ... I’ve driven hundreds of miles and one thing for sure is you have miles and miles to THINK .... are we seriously expected to believe that you didn’t realize what you had done until now KK?

Yes, I think this is key IMO. We have speculated that more players may be involved, that he may have gotten someone else to kill her - but it looks like he told KK he did it based on what she said in court. Huge IMO. Now we know.

There still may be more players that knew after the murder, we will have to wait and see if there are more arrests.

Ha! Sometimes the reality sucks.

But if KK had done the decent thing and gone to the police she would have been protected and KB would still be alive.
I don't think PF would have dared to harm KK's children if he knew she'd filed a police report.
He's a bully, but all bullies are cowards.

In the PC did he say that Kelsey was murdered on or about the 22nd??????? I hope that's not what I heard but what that means is she never got the chance to spend her Thanksgiving with her daughter as we suspected.
I heard the same thing!

It didn't show the presses question but after Ur728 said threatend and I listened I heard threatened. It's hard getting old!

  • #758
Funny, I'm hoping she CAN'T handle cross examination by defence attorneys :)

Why? I am most certainly NOT hoping she fails as a prosecution witness, thereby helping PF...

Yes. I don’t for a second, believe that “I was scared,” holds an ounce of water.

Not only did she not live with him, but there were hundreds of miles between them.

Give me a break.

BBM:
She has caused her own pain by agreeing to tamper with evidence in a murder case, and in doing so has ruined her own life as she knows it.

She could have said NO, and gone to the police.

She's made her own bed, now she has to lie in it.

I have zero sympathy for a woman who could have saved another woman's life if she had decent morals.
MOO
You know, even if she didn't go the police, the least that she could have done was to at least warn Kelsey of his plans to kill her, even if she did so anonymously. I wonder how many times since Kelsey was murdered, that this has haunted her, or does it? It boggles my mind that she knew what he wanted- Kelsey dead, and not only didn't try to stop it from happening, but she told her best friend instead, who thankfully told her employers. At least they came forward.
