Agreed -- what did she do/not do or say/not say? What drove him to such apparent rage?

You're right -- what was the motive? Of course it's not a requirement in proving guilt, but juries like to hear a motive. And so would we.
Yeah, there’s never a good reason to kill an innocent person, but what was his reason?

It could have been the dumbest, most insignificant reason in the world, but it exists.

Something made him decide to kill her.

Yeah, four things make me feel a little better about it though:

We don’t know for a fact that she was present.

If she was, we don’t know if she was in the same room.

We don’t know that she saw anything if she was.

She likely won’t remember it.

It’s still absolutely horrible, but atleast she wasn’t in a Jayme Closs type situation.
Even though she won't remember, I pray baby K wasn't present. She's already going to grow up to find out her mother was murdered by her father. If on top of that she has to find out that she was there to witness everything...it would be a whole other level of devastation. :-(

I wonder if pf will make it to trial or if he will plea,.I'm hoping he pleas and tells where remains are for his daughters sake. But they are still fighting for custody so he will probably fight this to the end. That poor baby girl will always know what her father did jmoo

I, too, hope Kelsey's remains are recovered but I want a trial because I want his accomplice to be exposed. Further, I hope it gets so heated that she trips up, blows her sweetheart deal and does a few years, herself.

I just hope we have a major snow/ice storm so I have an excuse to sit at my computer all day/night long!

I had that last week and was without power for a couple of days. Be careful what you wish for!

You'd think that KK would have run for the hills and called the police after the first solicitation.

You'd also think that discovering that PF had a child with another woman during the time you thought he was YOUR boyfriend would have been reason enough to sever ties, even without the solicitation.

And PF lived TWO STATES away.

Little in this case makes sense, starting from why you would risk a lifetime in prison for murder when you can just say "this is not working for me" and ending with why this inane woman would risk jail time, her own reputation, her future and that of her kids to participate in the cover up. I just don't get it. There is no amount of money or love that would convince me to commit a crime that would possibly result in jail time. But there are a lot of people who don't think like me. MOO

Cognitive dissonance on KKL's part along with suspension of disbelief, mix in a little low self-esteem and codependency and you have the perfect storm for a guy like PF.

Guys like him know how to pick them.

What do we know about PF's alcohol or drug abuse? That sure can bring on rage.

Maybe he flirted with the idea of killing her for months and had to get inebriated enough to go through with it?

We haven’t heard anything about that sort of thing.

Sometimes, people who are prone to bouts of rage, abstain from alcohol and drugs.

They like to remain in control.

I think she would have found excitement in the planning : it bringing them so close together.

Was he a user ? Could he and KK both have been, that could be the white line that binds.

There are many men (women too, I'm sure) who can behave nicely until they get a few drinks in them. Abusers often use "...but I was drunk!" to excuse their bad behavior.

They sober up and get real sorry, only sometimes the abused one is gravely injured or dead.

Is it possible that KK was present while KB was murdered ?
Does KK have an alibi for the exact day and time that KB was murdered ?

I wondered this b/c she (KK) seems to "fear" PF ; I realize it seems phony --- but she almost comes across as being more afraid if he walks.
What does he have on her ? Anything ? (speculating here)

Or is it possible that prosecutors took that specific question off the table to compel KK to 'talk' ? (Which would mean we'll never know if she was present while KB was killed. :( At least we know she was in town around that time.)

And some other thoughts that I will post later as this case continues.
While I would like to say absolutely not -- no way, no how, I'd be remiss not to recognize that Maya Maxwell was recently only charged with 3rd degree felony offense of tampering with physical evidence, after confessing to allegedly moving victims vehicle, as well as being present in the house while two murders were being committed, and accompanying victims bodies across state line where they were buried. bbm

Yes, it's possible that KK was present when KB murdered, but I don't believe she was.

MM is also cooperating with prosecution in the case against the alleged murderer Cedric Marks, and recently led authorities to recover the bodies at a site in Oklahoma.

Absolutely true. The thing is, some of that anecdotal information about his rage, shows that it was present when he was likely sober.

So it’s possible that he used alcohol and drugs and became enraged when he did so.

It wasn’t a requirement though.

My sentiments exactly!

Did y'all think KK looked ashamed and sorry in court?
I thought she acted like the cat that ate the canary.

I am starting the "What We Want To Know" list. Please add the things that you want to know.

What we want to know:

When exactly does LE think the murder of KB occurred?

What evidence did LE find at the Fs ranchette?

What evidence did LE find at KB’s townhome?

What evidence did LE find in PF’s truck?

Where and with whom did PF dine on Thanksgiving day?

When did KK arrive in CO?

Where and with whom did KK dine on Thanksgiving day?

How long was KK in CO? When did she arrive? When did she leave?

Did KK send the texts?

What motivated PF to murder KB?

What indications does LE have that KB’s remains might be in the landfill?

Where did KK stay while in Colorado?

Were cadaver dogs used to sniff out all of the vehicles (PF, Ma, KK, even KB's)?

Something just came to mind, speaking on drugs. Do rodeo jocks use steroids? Because prolonged use of anabolic steroids is known to bring on "roid rage."

I wasn't on this thread when the Sonic story came up and I understand it was pulled from the site that ran it. Do you guys think the story was reliable? What, exactly, did it say - I mean like did someone at Sonic claim it was KK in the drive through? All I saw was a screen shot of the top of the car which didn't mean anything. *IF* she was there and it's in Woodland Park then it was close to Kelsey's place? How close? Again, *IF* this turns out to be true, then holy crap.
I saw the Sonic story; there was a pic w/a timestamp of 11/24. That does line up with KK's sworn statement that she "moved" KB's cell phone 11/24 - 11/25. But my understanding is that the story was removed because the photo may not have been of her car. However, IF KK was indeed @ Sonic, she would have been captured by their ubiquitous video cameras. I give it a 50/50 chance of being reliable.

IMO some have been known to use them, I did notice PF was pretty buff and his arms looked like he had been lifting a lot of hay or weights.

I think she was having a "pity party." Boo Hoo! Cry me a river.

It never snows in my neck of the woods, but we are expecting wind and rain. That's my excuse...

Mine is because I'm an internet addict.
