Toothbrushes are easy to buy. And if she has a lot of makeup, she could have taken some of it without anyone knowing what was missing.

I'm not saying she packed a bag and left - I'm saying that if her family doesn't live with her, and she's not a minimalist or regimentally neat, it would be difficult to say if she packed a bag with clothes and makeup, or not.
When I look at all the circumstances of her disappearance - not just the toothbrush or makeup in and of themselves - I don't believe she left willingly for an extended period of time. MOO

So that means he didn’t allow them to search, right? I mean... cutting the locks... jeez.
That would be my interpretation. This seems pretty significant. Seems the cooperation has stopped. Just not sure why it took sooo long for LE to get a warrant.

Yeah you can hardly dispute otherwise at this time. Moo
I'm trying very hard to not make a snarky comment about that. Agree with you completely and I think he has been for some time. JMO

I agree. And isn't his mom living with him or vice versa? PF's Mom might not like KB moving in and if PF's Mom is going to be living with them after the wedding, they will need a 3 BR house. Maybe they were saving for that, ergo no set date. Also, no big wedding after baby was born because of religion.

The only reason I can see why KB would leave would be breaking up with PF. If she did, she walked out of the house with nothing but her purse and phone.

According to KB's mom, KB said she might go out for dinner per their phone convo. So maybe someone picked her up for dinner. That's somewhere you would go with only your purse and phone, not in your own vehicle.

Yea I just think of my own upbringing (Catholic). I think if I had a baby prior to marriage, and then visited my parents, they still wouldn’t have let me sleep in the same room with a fiancé until I was married, and my family aren’t really hardcore religious people. If they were, I’m sure it would extend to not living together and in turn, I’d believe the same.

We don't know if he did anything or not.

Something could have happened to her after he left (if what he is saying is true about picking up the baby at her place).

I don't get why ppl are SO focused on the fiance.

She had co workers, current and former students, ex boyfriend s( im sure) friends etc.

Anyone could have done something.

JMO
They are focusing on him because simple logic dictates it. That and statistics and prior experiences with these situations. Play devil's advocate all you want but trying to suppress conversation about him isn't helpful IMO

News reporters were on scene at the bolt cutting. That's interesting.

Link to county records of property being searched:

So there are some leaks in LE - good to know. For awhile I thought differently. Unless of course, they announced they were coming to the press or the press hung out at the courtroom of the Judge who handles search warrants.

I hope they brought gallons of luminol. The satellite images of Patrick's mom's mini ranch show multiple farm trucks.

Or they didn’t tell them they were coming and surprised them.:)

LE doesn't cut through locks or bust in doors to merely serve a search warrant. Unless they are refused access that is. Family of LE here.

Even if it's gate off and they can't get to the door to knock and serve it?

Is there still a presser today? And if so, what time? Or was that yesterday? Had a busy week and can’t keep my days straight
The time of the first press conference was announced two hours ahead of time. So, nothing to be concerned about yet. It was announced that there would be a press conference a day earlier, but the exact time was told two hours earlier.

They asked to see his phone, for him to submit DNA, and now they just cut the lock to search his home and property. He is a suspect

I don’t think in Websleuths terms, that he is though

  • #239
Didn’t they say he’s not a suspect though? Of course they always say that, but they will know soon enough if he is truly cooperating and handed over dna and his phone

LE words it carefully. They'll say something like, "we have not named anyone a suspect at this time." You have to look closely at the wording of how LE says it.

When there's a S.O. in the picture, they *always* look closely at that person in a missing person case. But they don't announce it right off the bat, and if there's nothing that ever links the S.O. to a crime, they haven't said anything publicly to implicate them.

Of course LE getting a search warrant is fairly standard in such cases too.
