Why did it take so long? When I asked, Adams said it took detectives awhile to corroborate the information provided in interviews of Krystal Kenney. Also, the department doesn’t have a lot of experience in searching landfills like this (hence the expert). @KOAA #KelseyBerreth

That makes a lot of sense.

Lying liars lie.

They seemingly took nothing she said at face value, the entire way.

Woodland Park Police, CBI and other local agencies will be helping. WPPD actually received expert advice on searching landfills from a company called NecroSearch International. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

Adams said about 30-40 people will be helping in the search. As for equipment, they’ll use an excavator and a front-end loader to sort the trash in rows. People will go through in search of remains. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

Cadaver dogs will not be used. I’ll have more details in my reports coming up on @KOAA at 5, 6 and 10. #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

That’s awesome that they reached out to Necrosearch. Those people are absolutely ridiculous in finding dead bodies, and this is right up their alley.

I’m sure they provided invaluable advice.

May the search be successful so that the Berreths can lay their daughter to rest and the prosecution can strengthen their case.

PF is stupid, but make no mistake, he is as evil as they come.

He drove this plot; he wanted Kelsey dead.

There is no evidence that KK was the person who pushed him to kill Kelsey, and every indication that the opposite is true.

In August, he was thinking about gaining sole custody of their baby.

That appears to be the motive, not KK.

Saying that KK is the one who is “cold and calculating” and PF is merely “some stupid man,” doesn’t jibe with the facts here.

It makes a man who literally bashed Kelsey’s face in, into some innocent pawn, and shifts the blame to KK.

Hell no.

I agree 100% that the plot was driven by him. I have no doubt at all. KK was the desperate fool who assisted. But are we sure he was trying to get custody? I don't know what the papers were or who initiated them. It could be that KB initiated the papers that were found in his house and that's what kicked everything off.

I'm still curious what their relationship was at the time of the murder and who said/thought they were engaged. She had just spent the night tending to his ulcer, so one assumes she believed them to be together in some way (as opposed to the ridiculous story PF told about them breaking up), but it's not clear to me if there were issues brewing about the baby and if so, from what angle they were developing.

Maybe that's what the mother knows about.

4,320 cubic yards of trash will be searched.
to give some perspective, I've ordered gravel, dirt and such in
large dump trucks holding 5 cubic yards of material.
Using these big dump truck for size, it would take 864 dump
trucks loads to move 4320 cubic yards of trash.
that's a humongous undertaking, like looking for a large needle
in a haystack.

He had to clean himself up. Likely shower and change into clothes he already had there. Likely went through Kelsey's stuff.
He was also at her computer. He got into her Facebook account and changed the password. There must be his DNA and some blood evidence on the keyboard.

But why change her FB password? Surely KKL didn't know it. Who else was going to be able to know it was changed?
my take on the password change for facebook.
he didn't know the password.
its not that hard to change if you have a phone number or email that's the norm to send a link to reset.
he did all that there while he had access to all her stuff including her emails ON her own devices.

he was still working on the she went away and killed herself theory.
likely going to post some sort of cryptic stuff on her page to back it up.

which was part of KK taking the phone to Idaho but they must have changed their minds with the suicide trail?
very calculated.

It doesn’t really matter who had the papers, it doesn’t change the motive any.

I do believe that custody was the primary motive, but there may have been other considerations as well.

The blindfold/candle story makes no sense if Kelsey didn’t still have feelings for and trust PF.

It does make sense with the knowledge that she spent the previous night taking care of him and helping him out.

An irreparable relationship doesn’t lend itself to that type of behavior.

That’s partially why I buy that story.

I woke up thinking about them... Sad for all the babies they are the ones who suffer. Im wondering if KK thought for a second about them during her attempts and clean ups. She sure wasn't there during school break. She was helping make sure that another baby was an orphan.
Yep. She sure did. She had a decent hubby, and children but was cheating with a loser who had a beautiful child, and beautiful Kelsey. Lying to CL,sneaking around while living on his families property none the less. After he was gracious, and stayed by her side. The entire time she was using him.

But if there was a sweater wrapped around KB's head--as KK claims PF told her--then how did a tooth fly all the way to a vent?

iirc, KK also claims PF told her to look for the tooth in the vent. If he knew it was there, why didn't he pick it up and dispose of it?

JMO
Because he had to eat turkey dinner with HIS mom and give thanks... She was probably pushed around with his narcissism. IMO

Aww. That made me feel emotional.

Well, it may only matter to me :)

I think they could have been having tense discussions about the baby and/or getting married, and she'd still be tending to him. Or, she could have been entirely clueless about the papers. Maybe the papers were prepared by him, and then he thought of a different idea, realizing he was unlikely to succeed. Maybe the mother knows all about what was happening, custody-wise.

Hard to say, but I admit to being curious about it even if it doesn't change the crime.

My interest is in the motive behind the 'burning in clear sight' of the remains of the victim. The need to have observers is more than a whiff of falò delle vanità, symbolic religious undertones, imo.

The burning of Kelsey's remains was certainly not a funeral pyre we know that. Not done in shame, or regret.
IMO, it was a ritualistic offering to the incumbent who is yet to face the wrath of the court.
The other witness, well she was just a future discard, imo.[/QUOT

In addition to being a convenient and hidden way to get rid of the evidence, I believe this little circle of evil-doers loved treating KB's body the way garbage is disposed of on a ranch, burned in a dirt hole.

It happens for financial reasons mostly I think, I remember reading something on just this somewhere, divorced people continuing to live together..
I worked with a woman who was divorced and she lived with her ex. And she said financially neither one could or wanted to struggle like that.
Personally don't know how they do it but they do, you are still both under the same roof except a piece of paper has said your relationship has changed.

All information below is in the affidavits. And or mainstream media.

Yes, it was very interesting that in 2016 was when she got together with PF per her hubby.

Her husband said in the affidavit if I recall correctly, that he did not want to say anything else about that relationship.

And then that is when they got a very quick divorce.

Also, it was interesting that when he was interviewed, the affidavit says he said they divorced in 2018. Yet, they were actually divorced in 2016 from what we have now gleaned.

Someone's post from above said that that was done very quickly.

It might be financial reasons that they got the divorce, versus financial reasons that they are staying together.
