Do you think it's possible that KK voluntarily granted them access? She couldn't give them her phone because she 'lost' it ten days before they contacted her, but once she agreed to cooperate, I would assume that meant voluntarily turning account access to LE.

There was a reference to her travels on Google (some feature I don't use) - she had turned it off for the Thanksgiving period so her husband wouldn't be able to track her. I don't know when or how LE got that info - it's possible CL told them.

PF surrendered his phone to LE. I don't recall a search warrant being issued.

eta: I can't face another run through the dox this morning. Do you recall if there was a search warrant for PF's FB?

I can't face going back to the docs either lol. I am pretty sure both KB and PF had facebook warrants. I also think KK had a google warrant and for sure a phone warrant, so I don't know why only FB would be the one not served.

I think PF also had a search warrant on the phone, they might have the phone but the company still can have records, etc.... On a google search, his phone actually comes back to his mother...

He probably took one of those summer or night time extension courses. Maybe something about artificial insemination/semen of cattle or dogs... And he met KK there when she was taking the clean-up of an operating theater and hygiene course in nursing... Or perhaps a course on drugs and their effects...
So far the only thing I've found is CL saying PF and KK dated while in college. I can't remember where KK went to receive her BSN.

In reference to the casserole, iirc it was sweet potato. Iirc Kelsey made a comment to pf? About pecans for casserole.

That dish to me would be a dish I would make to take to a thanksgiving dinner as a side dish. With pf & brother having a strained relationship I could see him not knowing, but with Kelsey making a “side” dish makes me think she was thinking she was going to sf’s for dinner. After saying this I now believe this shopping trip Kelsey went on was to get her out of the condo.
ITA. Didn't PF say he went to KB's home and she wasn't there and went back after she got home from Safeway? IIRC, LE said the believed the part of his story of "exchanging" Baby K in the alley. Did he go inside when KB wasn't there? Maybe he stowed the bat for later. Why "exchange" the baby in the alley and then go in and put the baby in the playpen and play sniff the candles? Does LE still believe that part of PF's story? ETA: Sweet potato casserole is a side dish. Would she not have planned more than that and dip if they were having TG dinner there? Would she have planned anything if they were going to a restaurant? The casserole makes sense if they were going to take it with them to someone's house.

Thanks! I did start there this morning, but couldn't find the search warrants or the text messages between PF and KB. I did click on the court docket links from March 4 (Tippy Lynn's post) but the format for entering the docket number is different from the format listed in the thread, and though I tried several variations to "crack the code", I couldn't. Am I close to getting "in"? Could you explain where I'm going wrong? Thanks! :)

Respectfully snipped and BBM

If you click on the bolded link it should open up a list of search warrant documents. The arrest warrant is also listed down the list a little ways.

So far the only thing I've found is CL saying PF and KK dated while in college. I can't remember where KK went to receive her BSN.

I do not even remember hearing she had any BSN. In fact it was debated whether she went to a four year or the accelerated program some states have for RNs. In the state I was born in, there is a two year program at tech, and yes, for an RN. I could have missed it though because when the threads went nuts after the preliminary I finally had to give up trying to catch up. But yes, the statement is out there they first met at college when like 19 I think?

Wait, do we know if she has a BSN, or an Associate Degree?

KK refused to allow FBI/Investigators access to her phone when they contacted her in Las Vegas. I do not believe KK cooperated with investigators -- including her phone until her agreement with DA was in place.

I was curious if a person could make sweet potato casserole by using yams in a can. I Googled it and found lots of recipes. I was a little surprised at that.

Yes, there are many different recipes. I never used canned but some people do. I only see the canned yams in stores around Thanksgiving so there must be many who use them as a shortcut instead of peeling and boiling raw sweet potatoes. Then there are variety of sweet potato casserole toppings-- most commonly chopped roasted nuts with butter and sugar OR mini marshmallows go on top. And people seem to be passionate about either having marshmallows or no marshmallows on their sweet potatoes, lol. CB would probably know in general which version KB was used to making. It's possible KB always made the mini marshmallow version but PF requested a pecan topping version. Perhaps that is why she told him to pick them up himself if he wanted them. It's an easy dish to adjust at the last minute.

MOO.

Wasn't the "exchange" about an hour earlier, then he went to Wal-Mart and came back?
Do we know when she texted him about getting the pecans if he wanted them? Was it earlier in the morning or when he was at Wal-Mart?

I missed something. Where did pecans come into this? Dateline?

I'm not sure that sweet potato casserole ever got made, they take a while, potatoes have to be peeled, boiled, mashed with other ingredients, then baked for at least 20-40 mins. depending on recipe and oven temp.

Sadly, I think she was killed before that happened, if it ever was going to happen. IMO.
She could have bought canned yams or mashed sweet potatoes, and just added what she needed. The pecans would have just gone on top and bake for 5 more minutes.

In the south it's a side dish year-round. Popular for lunch, supper, wakes, potluck suppers, family reunions. Just about any occasion.

That whole text exchange about the SPCasserole seemed strange to me in light of what we know about KB's schedule that day. Why make it if you're going out? Like someone has already pointed out, you're not taking it to a restaurant with you.

What time was the text about the sweet potatoes? Now you have me wondering if it was for sure sent by KB or if that was after PF had her phone. In the prelim hearing we only heard that KB bought flowers and ingredients for a dip at the store. Did she have the sweet potato casserole ingredients on hand already?

That's yet another mystery.

She 'lost' her phone on 12/4, the same day PF surrendered his phone to LE.

IIRC, the Las Vegas contact was on 12/14. She had a new phone. What on earth was she trying to hide and from who? Surely she didn't toss her original phone and replace it with a new one loaded with all the possibly incriminating information?

I would like to know if she and PF were still communicating after 12/4, and if so, how - new phones? FB?

And first she asked if they could go out to eat. She was tired and exhausted I don't think she wanted to make anything. Sounds like he talked her into making something. And someone up thread, I think it was Mom24 that said she must have left in a hurry because she left the house without her makeup on. That first interview CB did she made it clear that she was shocked that on the Safeway video that she saw her daughter without her hair done and without her makeup on.
So it does look like Kelsey hurried out of the house to get what she needed to make. And while she was there she grabbed a poinsettia.[/QUOTe

A little FYI here, back when I worked at Cracker Barrel, mid 90's through 2008, Sweet Potato Casserole was the Vegetable of the day every Thursday. Since Dan Evins (owner of Cracker Barrel) passed in 2012 things have changed tremendously. Now I need to find out if they still have a vegetable of the day!

I believe it was included in the search warrant documents for KB and or PF phones. There was a particular text from KB phone to PF phone telling him she had ingredients? to make the sweet potato casserole, but if he wanted it made he would need to pick up pecans....IIRC

No, it was in a text message from Kelsey to Patrick. She texted that she forgot the pecans for the sweet potato casserole and that he could pick them up if he wanted them. He never replied.
It's in the affidavit, I think.

Thank you both. I missed it somewhere then. I know of the casserole but not of the pecans.

Yes, I think they may have been mentioned in two separate places, but I can never remember which document!
