Okay, I'm prepared to get bombarded by the crowd j/k but I think it's possible that PF handed Baby K off to someone after he left KB's townhome the first time. I know KK said PF said she was there in her playpen in the back bedroom, and I know we have surveillance footage of him with the baby carrier <remember him and RS went back to make sure that PF was spotted at some point on his Walmart run with baby K> maybe it was just an empty carrier with a toy or doll in it.

Baby K could have well been at MommaF's ranchette that afternoon taken there by a caring fatherly type figure or picked up by someone else. Something about PF standing there in the middle of Walmart wanting to be seen by the CCTV with the car seat sends my hinky meter into the red zone.

If PF sent Baby K off to MommaF's and went back to KB's townhome to a napping or sleeping KB I can see how he could sneak right back in quietly and bludgeon her. I can see how he would then have spent a couple hours there in peace without worrying about baby K. It would have made cleaning up, removing KB from the townhome and transporting her to Nash ranch or wherever he put her much easier. Just think if you were trying to pull this off with a cranky, hungry, wet and tired 1 year old???

Call me crazy, but this is what I believe could have very well happened. I think it could have been one of 3 people in my mind.

All just my speculation.

Nothing crazy about it. The facts or facts along with the "lack of them" lend to it. To me on 11/22 there is someone else involved... Whether that is at the house, watching the baby in the truck, handing her off, helping with KB, etc.

I think he is evil enough to have the baby in that house while he did this but hmm, she is in a playpen at one year old, he beats, puts her mother in a tote, showers, changes, uses baby wipes to try to clean up, then hauls the tote AND the baby to the truck (by the way he gets no blood on him hauling the tote...??? Okay, so I guess he could have showered and changed after but then that means he put the tote in the truck and left it unwatched while he showered and changed. So either she went into the tote immediately and perfectly and no blood was gotten on him by the tote when hauling it? Or no blood after. Then runs to ma's for dinner with the baby and the body and so far as we know to date, totally clean? Neither seen on video, him with the baby or the tote nor both leaving the home... Along with the bat, clothing, etc. Give me a break! And a jury is to buy this?? Did he shower the tote off after stuffing poor KB in it? I mean blood went all over the home so I am sure when he put her in it it must have as well... No expert but I just do not buy it--I sure hope they have answers to all of these things...

I don't know about a playpen as much but my children were climbing out of their cribs at one year old. a playpen they probably would have tried to just dive over the mesh side and if it is a combo like/crib playpen, no problem. KK had just received a baby gate from a neighbor so this baby was getting around. If he had her out and about well that is another bunch of questions...

I have my suspicions of who was with the baby... She cannot place herself there or the deal may be off. There were negotiations and I would be sure the good side would have had conditions as well--as in as long as you were not the murderer nor present, the deal will stand. I mean for those sticking up for the deal, the prosecution and agencies are smart too right? Would they have not put conditions in as well? Just as she and her attorney did?

jmo and speculation. these are all questions i would have as a juror.

I am replying to my own post to highlight something incorrect in my original post, this should read that RS and PF went to the bank (Woodland Park ENT) to see a transaction timeline of PF's for 11/22 and asked if the baby was noticeable when he went through ATM PF was observed at the ATM between 12:44-12:50 making three deposits and one withdrawal.
I had to skip a couple threads because I was out of town, and would never catch up. Can someone point me to where I can find who RS is? I've seen them referenced a couple times. Does anyone know the thread and post where I can start to learn about them?

Standing O being delivered for this brilliant post, ilc.

"Ribald bleached blond dated...." HaHaHaHaHaHa

"RIBALD."
Perfect!

lol that is how I think of her. i see her knocking back whiskeys and beers and telling dirty jokes and "bouncing" around in the local saloon. it is a "type".... at least in small old school areas... and it does not stop as they get older...

i apologize for the judgment, i generally do not generalize, however, i am small town myself... it is not far fetched...

just my opinion....

I wonder if RS is the one that helped PF get KB and the tote to the top of the hay, after they went and picked her up late TG evening/night. RS may have known about the phone pings, and said they needed to leave their phones at his house.

It appears likely that PF visited RS on Thanksgiving evening, late. I think he spilled at least some of the story then. I don't think he told RS the truth - that he killed KB, but I think he may very well have told RS that KB was gone and it looked bad and LE was almost certainly going to come after him. RS would have taken his 'son' under his wing and started helping him review his actions to come up with a solid alibi.

He might even have sold RS a story about KB killing herself in front of him and Baby K to set him up and he (PF) panicking, touching things, worrying he would be 'railroaded' by LE. Or he could have told RS that KB threatened herself with her gun (allegedly again), he tried to stop her, the gun went off and killed her, and he panicked.

I think saying knew someone like him
Yes,thanks-- that was addressed and responded to by yours truly. :p :)

Hoping they'll find something at the landfill; even small amounts will be better than nothing. This is what the monster did to her !

Her loved ones will not be able to lay her body to rest.

Just some little pieces of evidence , or dna on the container that was used.
And so we wait.....

I like your confidence, I want to stress that, I truly do and wish I felt 100 percent that way. However, they only have the case they are given to do so. He is not the investigators nor can he create evidence where it may not exist, he works with what he is given, is that right? Plenty of evidence was gone and/or destroyed before this show ever got on the road or until outside help was called in. If he can convince 12 in a case like this, my hat is off to him. I hope he has all of this perfect evidence that so many believe to each and every question, of which there are many. It truly is what I hope and want to see.

I hope there is far, far more than we know. A Perry Mason moment. Although since both sides pretty much have the entire case these days and every bit of evidence long before trial, that does not really occur anymore...

And let's hope the defense arguments hold up like Hamilton Burger's. :D

Burger is one of literature's least successful district attorneys. . .

lol Every small town has that "girl", heck, even the big cities do, but in the big city she can hide it easier!

RS is an elderly gentleman friend who has been referred to as a 'father figure' of PF's. He has come up in reference to going to the Bank ENT with PF and RS went to KB's condo to retrieve a package that KBs brother had sent baby K for Christmas an ornament I think. PF drove and RS got out of the truck and picked the package up from KB's doorstep. That's all I know about him at this point other than one of the LE or FBI officers spoke with him after a PC and he said "PF didn't do it kind of thing" yada yada, etc.

Check out the Search Warrants recently released. HTH

Thanks so much! I didn't realize more warrants were released. I will go find those, and try to keep up! haha

IIRC, KK didn't know about the discoloration because she never climbed the ladder and saw it. She did see PF climb a ladder and push an unseen tote to the front of the hay bale where he could reach it with the tractor.

When KK took LE to the barn and described what happened, they climbed up and saw a discoloration not visible from the ground - and the cadaver dog alerted on that discolored area, as well as a spot on the ground by the stack of hay bales.

You're correct. I've just been searching in my spare time for that. It was Slater who said it. It was not in the search warrant, it was in the affidavit at the preliminary hearing on Feb. 19. And the dog did hit on the discolored bale and an area on the ground nearby.

Bolded by me. Used to highlight a part of the post the person is responding to.

Thanks, and thank you to whoever sent me the WB lingo link!

That could be. Maybe PF used one with a crack, or maybe damaged it with the tractor he used to place it on top of the hay. But, as previously mentioned, one would think the discolored hay would have been listed in the search warrant.

Great point. It was taken as evidence I would assume. If the dog hit and it was discolored then it is evidence and a no brainer right?

There is nothing more than KB's remains being found that I want in this case other than seeing both PF and KK rot behind bars. The Berreth family deserves to lay KB to rest properly and have a place to visit for them and her baby girl.

PF has robbed everyone of such a wonderful young woman and mother and in such a shocking and disgusting way. I can't say I've ever been so shocked at the callousness and bizarreness of this case as I've had with other WS cases. So many people could have raised a red flag and KB might well be alive today if they had. :(
