they always do. the ignorant, egotistical arrogance. so typical.

I believe he is arrogant. Something makes him believe he is above the law and has some sort of out! MOO

So Kelsey never intentionally left. They do want to talk to PF and he has refused. Will only speak through his lawyer. DA is asking for information from the community. They have served the search warrant. DA is building his case. Praying for Kelsey’s family!

I'm sure there was. The person who should have noticed and made some phone calls apparently didn't bother to do so.

I think she trusted PF when he said he got a text from KB. She seems like a good mom and part of that is not bugging your grown kids.

I’m sure it’s been discussed but these threads move way too fast. Is Kelsey’s dad not in the picture?

I’m still confused as to why he won’t let her mom visit the baby. Because he is possessive and controlling? Or because he would likely be forced to talk to her? Did he have a hatred for her family and wants to punish them?

Can someone answer a question please. Is this the first we heard that PF has yet to be questioned directly by the police????

Yet: He was the last person to see her.
He knew she was missing for 3 days and never called her mother.
Somebody sent him a text from her phone 3 days after she went missing. i.e. a convenient alibi for why he didnt find it strange she never returned to pick up her child.

Yet this is the first we've heard this person was not cooperating? She's been missing for 23 days. The FBI is involved. It's a national story!!! What benefit did they get from sitting on this information? or am I wrong. We knew he was refusing to sit down with the police. Or worse, the police were fine with him answering questions through his lawyer and didnt think it the publics business.

BM. Having the time to obtain their search warrant while making him feel safer and potentially less likely to panic and destroy more (some? any? all?) evidence. MOO.

De Young said Friday afternoon that there were "a number of other things" done up through Thursday night that led to a judge signing off on the warrant. He praised the agencies working on the case, which he called a "rough case to investigate."

De Young said Friday afternoon that it was investigators' "hope" that Berreth was still alive and said that was "absolutely a possibility."
Snipped for brevity and BBM

Well...it would have been easier (maybe) if they'd searched his mom's place or made more of an effort to find her before 3 weeks had passed. Js.

he got what he wanted - the child. and for now he's high on the power thrill of winning. he can't see how he looks bc his own opinion of himself and his pleasure in her (likely) demise is in the way. TAKE THE CHILD AWAY NOW!!!!!

Meh, I was in the process of writing a whole post trying to see if it's possible that KB was at fault and maybe there's a reason PF is being so protective/quiet/uncooperative... and.... I just keep coming back to the fact that it's a reasonable expectation that he would be involved in efforts to find/locate KB or even just bringing awareness to finding her.

It's so... ballsy... that he's not even trying. It is honestly mind-blowing. How can you be that numb? Or just not care? Seriously mind-blowing.

The part about going out to dinner is bugging me and I know it was discussed in earlier threads, but honestly, how many restaurants would be open on Thanksgiving night? Unless they were going to someone's house, and then was she there if that was the case? Just another loose thread in this mess of a case. I truly hope LE has way more evidence than they appear to.

Denny’s is open...and last year I went to Black Angus with friends on that day. Also casinos are all open with buffets, etc

KB's family must be devastated, though. It was easier for them to assume that PF wasn't involved in the disappearance, because it meant there was a chance KB would come back. If PF was involved, there won't be a happy ending.
I’m sure they suspected this early on. He hasn’t helped them! And they need to see their grand baby.

He has obviously spoken to the police before. Law enforcement has specifically said in the previous press conference that Patrick told them that he picked up K (their daughter) later in the afternoon of November 22nd.

The way it was phrased by the admin on the official Missing Mother facebook page, it said
"I spoke with her a couple of times that morning. Going out for dinner was in the plan. We know she had picked up a few things at Safeway.

and

"She was going out to dinner with her fiance and daughter. She didn't say where."

I guess "going out to dinner" could mean anything - a restaurant, his family's house, a friend's house. I have always lived in very touristy/vacation-y cities, so restaurants open on Thanksgiving is more of a norm to me, but I am guessing in a smaller town it may not be as common.

Thank God! I was losing faith in LE.

Chinese restaurants - always open on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Good point. Some are, because often people just would rather have someone else do the cooking. But if their immediate area is rather small, there may only be one or two places to choose from on Thanksgiving that aren't closed.

I am prior Military. I was a Behavior Science Specialist, I worked in Psy Ops. I'm certainly not a leading expert on human behavior, but I am willing to bet that allowing PF to bring his daughter was a very calculated move. If I were interrogating PF I would definitely do these two things...
First and foremost I would ensure leverage. In this case I believe the child is LE's leverage. Mind you, (regarding your question) the child is currently in a very safe environment.
Questioning AFTER the search warrant was implemented may suggest to PF that LE has found something that may strengthen their case against him (should there be one). LE can also say (whether or not they do or they don't) that they now have a strong case against him. This may ultimately get him to talk...
I don’t believe he was taken away to be interrogated.

I think it is kind of sickening. He is using the baby as a shield! There is no one he could call for help? Maybe a grandmother? Nope, smells to high heaven here! IMO

Yet with all his family around, you would think he would take her to family on Thanksgiving?

This has probably been answered, but, could he have mailed the phone to Idaho, or tossed it in with a delivery truck, and then spoofed texts from her number to himself and to her work? Use a VPN even if necessary? Would the phone still ping as an Idaho location in a spoofed text? I guess the phone would have had to have been on that entire time for that to work though, unless there is a remote way to turn the phone on?

Ethnic restaurants that don’t celebrate Thanksgiving?
