Fair enough. Both times I mentioned her having someone else, you quoted me, so I was just curious. For some reason, I just envision it as being more messy if he had a new significant other and she (or he) did something to KB. I feel it was most likely someone directly related to KB, so if not PF, then maybe a close friend or new significant other

I think that I may be still a little touchy about all of the accusations thrown at the murdered wife in the Watts case. She was accused of having substance abuse problems, mental illness and having an affair and none of those things were true.

I tried to take a break after the Watts case because it was truly draining, but now I'm hooked on this and it has taken me days to catch up; it's moving fast.

I just want to say that I'm quite stunned at the insinuations that the police haven't done everything in their power and have sort of just sat on any info they've had thus far. What is the basis for this? Because they didn't have probable cause to search the property until now? That's not THEIR choice. They have to have enough to get a judge to sign off on it. It's a high threshold and a 4th Amendment violation that will result in the inadmissibility of potentially imperative evidence needed for a conviction. Why would they risk that??

The FBI and CBI were called in to this tiny town to help. It seems that the local police know they need the outside help and haven't closed ranks or tried to keep it to themselves as we sometimes see. They clearly want to utilize any and every resource available to them to try and get to the bottom of this.

Please, if there are questions about the criminal/legal aspects of this case, ask! I'm an open book. I will do my best to help, even though these threads are moving fast.

I have every ounce of faith in law enforcement here.

Hmm yea you are right. Like a Chris Watts kind of situation with his mistress and wanting a new life. I’m not sure why that took until now to click in my head. I guess I was just considering possibilities OTHER than PF, but all roads seem to lead back...

So many theories. We obviously know she left without a struggle and planned to be back soon with those cinnamon buns out. I picture someone picking her up spontaneously and taking her somewhere and either drugging her water or other drink in the car they offered her .... and/or taking her somewhere remote like Idaho. I hate to say all this but it just seems obvious to me at this point.

I don't think they wasted one moment of time and you can't force someone to answer questions or undergo a polygraph.

I'm pretty certain LE was trying to get info from PF since day one.

Exactly. It's not like LE has just been sitting around reading blogs and pinning recipes on Pinterest instead of investigating. It seems like sometimes people mistake silence for incompetence.

I’m curious as to why you keep saying that. You think someone else he was dating would harm her and he would cover for her/him? It just seems more logical that it would be someone she was with, if they went to the extent of driving a phone to Idaho...but would love to hear your theory on it

It seems that in many of these missing women cases, when a partner or spouse who isn't showing an appropriate level of concern or worry, we soon learn the oddly behaving partner or spouse has a side girlfriend or mistress pop up. That affair person may not have anything to do with the disappearance, but can be a contributing factor in the motive.

I wish we knew the location of the phone when those texts were sent. It’s still possible that they were sent before the phone made its voyage to Idaho. All we know for sure is that the ping in Idaho was on 11/25, and the texts were sent on the 25th. But we have never read that the texts sent time and “ping time” were the same. Although, it is a safe assumption.

Oh I understand. I stayed mostly on Facebook for that case, I couldn’t take much more. That’s not my intent here. Just trying to brainstorm any other remote possibilities because all signs point one way. Just trying to keep hope of finding any other possible scenario. Don’t want to come across as victim blaming at all.

Ok so with regard to KB’s pins on Pinterest what if the sober/recovery pins were actually her way of supporting a “loved one” with those issues?? Such as PF?????

What board is it on that you are talking about on Kelsey's pinterest page? Quotes? When I pin, the pins at the top of your boards are the most recent ones.

It would depend on what a person pinned. For instance if I pinned many things about chronic disease and depression then was found to have been suicidal it might be of interest to some. NOT say Kelsey Betteth pinned anything like that.

Yes, if either one had someone else that they were interested in it could cause a problem. Its much better to establish custody as soon as the child is born when the parents are not married. Otherwise, one parent could try to take the child somewhere against the other parents wishes and the police cannot do anything to stop them. That's why many people carry a copy of the court order around with them. The police have to enforce the court order.
If there are issues between the parents it can get very messy. Especially if there is someone else in the picture. I wonder how much this may have played a role in whatever happened.

Yeah, I was obviously way too optimistic. You'd think after all the cases we've seen I would know by now that it's very rare for a case to be solved immediately.

If PF was gone during the period in question, I am sure somebody took care of the animals during his absence (if, in fact, he was gone).

I believe you’re thinking about the period when Kelsey first went missing. We were talking about the search warrant period beginning today, when he definitely left the property.

Alright, I think I’m all caught up on the 5 threads. I have a question and maybe I just missed it.. does the Safeway not have parking lot cameras? I’m curious if someone has seen or heard of that footage. I go weeks without speaking to my mother, I love her.. but if she didn’t hear from me it wouldn’t raise eyebrows. If my husband can’t reach me for hours he’d be worried and call people. I post all sorts of things on sm. Has anyone thought maybe she was posting things but not about herself? I never post, so sorry for the long ramble!

But PF DID get the baby from her after she was at Safeway.

Might be why he won't let the daughter out of his sight. Given the language being used by PF's attorney when referring to the daughter, I'm beginning to wonder if she's not his.

I believe she is his and LE has named her as such.
