8:49 a.m.
Judge Scott Sells has agreed to continue the hearing until May 24 at 8:30 a.m. Frazee will not enter a plea at today’s hearing.

8:45 a.m.
The defense has asked for a continuance in the hearing, and the prosecution has elected to not object to the motion. The state has said there are still a number of items of evidence that need testing.

8:41 a.m.
Frazee has entered the courtroom. He’s wearing a ballistic vest and pink handcuffs. A Teller County Sheriff’s deputy is standing behind him.

8:29 a.m.
We’re told there will be a news conference following the hearing. News5 will live stream that news conference in this story and on the KOAA 5 Facebook.

7:16 a.m.
Patrick Frazee arrived at the Teller County courthouse just after 7 a.m. He was wearing a ballistic vest.

Judge postpones arraignment hearing for Patrick Frazee
A judge agreed Friday to postpone the arraignment hearing for a man suspecting of bludgeoning his fiancee to death with a baseball bat and burning her body in his Teller County Ranch.

Patrick Frazee, 32, was expected to enter his plea deal Friday morning in Cripple Creek. His attorney requested the hearing be delayed because of new information.

Prosecutors did not object, either. Jennifer Viehman said, "there are a number of items that are being forensically tested."

Definitely implies a "Not Guilty" plea eventually. Otherwise the judge would not have been thinking about setting a trial date.

Whoa! Unexpected, yet Smooth Move by the defense and asking to delay. They want to go to May 24th, because they don't want him to plea before the search of the landfill has been completed, in my opinion.

I find it very interesting, because just yesterday they did a public relations video as to the search, and they said it was only 35 to 40% completed at this time.

Maybe he wants to make sure the evidence will fit his story? I really don't know. I hope someone will explain.
