Teller County Colorado has just 24,000 people

Farriers, like PF, are very well known in horse country

There are only 2 main through roads, in that county East-West and North-South

Both roads are just two lane

PF lives off the North-South road (smaller of the two)

There is really only one country and western bar in the county (Thunderbird Inn)

It is located on the East-West Road, at the intersection with the North-south road past PF's house.

Surely PF was known at the Thunderbird Inn, both before and after he met KB (in my opinion)

He likely got business through that bar, via referrals.

In my experience, women usually coordinate Farriers for their horses and are quite loyal ... speaking highly of them.

Being a small county, where familiarity eliminates discreteness ... people talk.

It is quite likely that the patrons / staff of the Thunderbird Inn knew PF and quite likely KB better than family members.

The way I see it, if she was into flying, that IS her life, her hobbies, how she spends her time. She was willing to commute 70 miles to her flight-instructor jobs. I can't even imagine commuting that far - it would get old very fast - unless it were for a job I loved and a family situation that mattered to me. She might have been okay with the commute because she loved the work and because it meant something to her that her baby was cared for by family.

What time did she possibly have for additional hobbies? (FWIW, when my kids were 15 months old, I had no hobby other than reading 1/2 chapter of a book before falling asleep....and I didn't have a 70-mile commute.)

I think who Kelsey was at the time she went missing is a flight instructor, mom, fiancee, newcomer to town. We don't know more than that because there isn't more than that (how much more could there be?).

Understood, but she still has a past before being a pilot and a mom. Why hasn’t anyone spoken of being her high school friend, college roommate, teammate, etc? We almost always have stories of people recalling past interactions with the victim. When I think of Mollie, I think of all of the cross country/track pictures that people shared, and the videos of her being silly and funny with friends. We have no idea of her past, personality, or anything else except for what we speculate. It’s...odd.

The difference being that SW ran her business on social media so we were able to see more of her life than what is the standard. I have my FB page locked down so that only my friends can see my posts and photos. I think that is pretty normal considering all of the hacking and privacy issues on social media these days. IMO
True and SW had a circle of friends, neighbors and family that were willing to talk to the media from the very beginning. Kelsey didn't even have someone close enough to report her missing. Really sad to me.

She could possibly have gone to church and/or Bible study if that is part of her church's program.

I think that it's very possible that he adores his daughter and is a good dad. I can think of one particular person in my social circle who is a great dad but a horrible husband. People have many facets.
I agree with you. I am the one who said he obviously adores his daughter ... but then I have considered so many other stories and the truth is IF he has killed KB, he doesn’t love his child or he would have NEVER killed her mother. If she threatened to remove her from his life during an argument - he could have snapped - feeling threatened? Maybe PF’s Dad has never been in his life??? Which might have made him feel even more threatened.

Just a thought...
On Nov 12, 2018 - Loveland Colorado reported 82”of a ‘historical’ amount of snowfall.
Loveland is 2 hours North-West of Woodland - did he go skiing after Thanksgiving? It’s also on a route that could take him to Gooding ID.

I'm not feeling real hopeful they found anything on his property. If he did in fact do something, he may be smart enough to have covered his tracks well. I definitely don't see this guy confessing, with the way he's been so silent so far. IMO he's doing and saying as little possible in order to be "cooperative".
Agreed. And Whomever is responsible for her disappearance has certainly had plenty of time to cover their tracks

Just a thought. If her parents paid for her house, maybe they had conditions for it. No roommates/significant others living there. Also, just because he doesn’t live there on paper, doesn’t mean that he didn’t spend a lot of time there/stayed over, etc.

I tend to think if they hadn’t found anything yet, they would’ve stayed and continued to search the property for the remainder of their time.

Or maybe they got new evidence leading them elsewhere/to another location

They still have his truck and everything they confiscated like his computer, that could be leading them somewhere else too.

I'm wondering about PF's situation and it's flexibility. I don't blame him if he wanted to stay on the farm where his animals were. Farming isn't a 9-5 job, unless you're an employee and have set hours. We don't know if he rented/leased other acreage/land. He's a farrier also, and usually, not always, that means making farm calls wherever the animals are. If he competes in rodeo events that means more travel. We don't know and can't sleuth his family, but it's been discussed here previously that he lives with his mother. We don't know how much she helps with child care. All this has been discussed in the previous threads, IIRC.

All this to say I can understand if KB possibly was reluctant to live on the farm/get married to someone in his situation. All IMO.

I don't think KB was reluctant to live on a farm as she is no city girl according to recent report. In fact, her mother stated during interviews that Kelsey had hoped that she and PF could buy their own ranch but PF's business was not doing as well as they'd hoped:

Kelsey grew up on a farm in Moses Lake, Washington and went to a private Christian school before attending Big Bend Community College for her aviation training, according to one local report with iFIBER One News.

In 2016, Kelsey moved to Colorado, where Frazee’s family lives. When and how the couple met remains unclear.

Not saying this happened here, but it's a typical story in cases where a man harmed a woman he is involved with. He wants to make himself look like the injured party. He wants to be seen as an innocent man who had a woman dump him and leave him so that he will be the one given sympathy. Just like Chris Watts tried to claim his wife had left him. CW tried to make it seem like she was the one pushing for a divorce but their text messages told a different story. His wife was trying to save their marriage in that case while he was having an affair. In this case here we have signs that Kelsey wanted to marry PF but he wasn't willing to commit. Her mom saying the price of cattle was a factor in why they couldn't buy a place together is a big clue of this being the case. Kelsey buying her own 2 bedroom townhome in May but PF still not living there is another clue. If he loved her he would have married her. The price of cattle was an excuse. MOO.
Maybe she didn't want to marry him!

This. And sadly, nobody really knows for sure why anybody does anything.
Imo This about ownership, and winning at all cost. Once a controling possessive person loses that watch out.
The most dangerous time for a woman in this kind of relationship is when she leaves.

True, you have to wake up super early to feed/water the animals...

Wish we had a local that would belly up to the bar and have a chat! You know there's got to be a lot of conversation about this going on locally.

BREAKING: Investigators tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 they have completed the search of the property where Kelsey Barreth's fiancé lives. #KelseyBerreth

Investigators complete search of Kelsey Barreth's fiance's property in Florissant

Also media spelt her name wrong, not me lol
Can someone explain what liability/responsibility LE or anyone would have to help PF’s mother recoup costs for damage done to HER property during search (since he only lives/works there)?

Especially if he is ultimately cleared, this seems like a lot to overcome for her.

He’s a ghost, she’s a ghost, everyone’s a ghost.

We know nothing about either of them.

Normally we have a coherent picture of the (apparent) victim, anecdotal things that paint a portrait of her and her life.

Not so here.

It’s both strange and frustrating.

I can understand his friends keeping quiet, but I don’t understand why there’s so little said about her.

Yes there are things on social media, and her mom is doing everything in her power to find her, but where are her friends and coworkers?

Where are her neighbors?

I’m beginning to understand how her disappearance was able to go unreported for that length of time.
that’s exactly it. My poorly worded question from earlier was about this. This case has garnered such national attention, but there doesn’t seem to be that community groundswell of support and “let’s go look for her“. Everyone is fascinated, but very few seem personally involved. Does that make sense?
