PF's "best friend" and "father figure," RS, tried to insinuate to Agent Slater that KB had been in rehab for something other than exhaustion and he also suggested she had "done this on her own."

All of the suggestions that KB had voluntarily disappeared herself came from PF's camp.

It wasn't enough for PF to murder KB.
He wanted to lay the finger of blame on her for it, too, and leave that dark mark on her reputation.

Had he actually gotten away with it, I have no doubt that PF would have told Baby K. that her mother ran off and abandoned her.

None whatsoever.

JMO.

I wonder if LEO SF is on witness list. Might not be a good look for his job if he doesn't really answer the questions (I don't know, etc). Like I'm expecting of ol' Ma.


Other thoughts on things I've seen recently in this thread....

People keep mentioning that KK says she didn't see inside the tote, thus Patrick could have really done something else with the body, etc.

I'm sorry, but KK knows whether a body was burned or not. There is no way she wouldn't notice a distinct smell. Also that plastic tote would have burned rather fast in comparison of a body. I think she is trying to make herself not look as bad by saying she never saw the body.

I hope they ask her if Kelsey was expected for Thanksgiving dinner and if so, was she planning on bringing a dish and what was PF's explanation for her not being there.

I wonder if KK ever took a polygraph. Has this ever been discussed?

Only curious as I'd love to see it, like CW getting roasted by Tammy.

While never discussed or confirmed that I'm aware of, I've very little doubt that DA May would approve the plea deal without KK first submitting to polygraph. Her testimony too important to risk everything.

In the murder of Ben Eastman Jr. 17, two of the defendants charged with murder that later changed their pleas also had to submit to polygraphs prior to sentencing. Those exams resulted in additional arrests and criminal charges almost a year later!

Very little, I guess.
Well, I guess they can try, but they will have to think of explanations that match the time line and the evidence indicating where PF was during the day and the evening. Imo

That information came from his interrogation of Krystal Kenney, Frazee's girlfriend who reached a plea deal with prosecutors in exchange for her testimony against him.

Slater said law enforcement found no evidence to support Frazee's claims, and now, the family wants to quash that storyline.

Concerning Mother F taking the 5th during a criminal trail could be connected to the two civil cases. She is involved in the custody case and there is a wrongful death case. Both civil cases. She could claim certain questions would wrongfully impact those cases. I leave it for the attorneys to sort it out.

Right now, the plan is to begin the trial Friday afternoon. Each side would get an hour for an opening statements. Courtroom discussions show the state plans to call Cheryl and Clint Berreth, Kelsey's mother and brother respectively, to the witness stand Friday, according to NBC News.

People v. Frazee: Individual jury selection is complete. Group jury selection begins Friday morning. Opening statements anticipated Friday afternoon.

There are three other witnesses that I hope we get to hear from. The laywer and his wife in Idaho and the friend of theirs that was a mutual friend with KK. I think the friend may have worked for the laywer if I recall.

It will be interesting to hear what they may have to say under oath. Not sure if they will be called to the stand.

I'd understand their relevance if KK was on trial but she's not. Bringing this crowd to the trial as witnesses to give PF's defense the opportunity to smudge KK's testimony and character is the last thing DA May needs here. MOO

Help my confusion, pls. I'm not sure what "traces of an accelerant" even means. Aren't accelerants used to assist a fire's intensity? I thought fire was one of the reasons the DA gave at the hearing for wanting SF's testimony. iirc, she was called first.

There is a thoroughly confusing explanation of this term at the link.

KK told LE that he used gasoline as an igniter, and motor oil as an accelerant. Gasoline can also qualify as an accelerant. The tests results are definitely saying there was something there, and they are classifying that something as the residue of an accelerant. IMO

The question was whether he would actually tell law enforcement what he did with the remains.

That’s not the same as the vague locations he mentioned to KK, before he actually disposed of them.

ETA:

Where he put the remains is not “a major element of this criminal action. The elements involve his intent to kill Kelsey, the fact that he planned to kill her, and that he actually killed her.

Where he put her body isn’t important to proving the case against him.

Exactly. Nor is motive necessary to convict PF.

It remains that KB disappeared, and PF lied about her disappearance to many people including LE, and KB's never been seen or heard from again.

Either PF killed her, or he didn't. Beyond reasonable doubt, that's the question.
