Jury selected for Patrick Frazee murder trial, opening statements begin
SABBM:

Ashley Porter, one of Frazee's defense attorneys, said no murder weapon has been found, Berreth's body hasn't been found, and the only blood jurors will see is "tiny, minuscule spots of blood under the floor boards." She added that Frazee has cooperated with law enforcement, gave his phone, and took pictures in the nude so investigators could see any marks on him.

Are you trying to put us off our breakfast, GordianKnot?

KB and PF met in 2016, I'm wondering if MaF did know about the first pregnancy, and what caused KB to lose the first child in 2017? Did Ma have a hand in that? Was Kelsey living near and spending a lot of time around MaF in 2017? Kelsey lived with a friend during her pregnancy with baby K. All those questions went through my mind when you asked that question @Steelslady :(

Edited to correct spelling

Since KB was pregnant most of 2017 with baby K (born 3 weeks early in October, 2017) I think an earlier pregnancy might have been in 2016.

I have to admit that I'm having a hard time understanding the F's apparent total aversion/opposition to KB, but yet they/he wanted the baby. If PF didn't want to pay support and have partial custody, as has been theorized/speculated, by eliminating KB now he's got full custody and full financial responsibility, unless someone else in his family contributes financially and with child-rearing. I guess it could be some kind of a bloodline/breeding thing, idk.

OTOH, the more we learn about them, the more twisted they seem, so it won't make sense.

Edited for spelling and clarity.
It's about absolute power. They don't care about anything else.

I've been reviewing the timeline and wondering about the timing of the miscarriage.

If the jury is comprised of farmers and ranchers that's probably a good thing, they know manure when they see/hear it.

Same here. I feel like she had to know what PF was planning. I’ve always wondered if she participated. I also wonder if they ruled out anyone in regards to the unknown female DNA...
Ride or die comes mind.

Ha! For those of us trying to kick start our pre-holiday diets, this is a great tool:

I'm calling it: "The Gordian Diet"

We won't even need to read any inspirational self-help crap to keep us motivated.

All we have to do is keep reading that last sentence, "Frazee...took pictures in the nude" every time we're tempted to bust open that bag of Oreos sitting so invitingly on the pantry shelf, and it's like getting tased.

"Voila! Presto!"

Appetite: Gone.

Stomach: Purged.

JMO.

You're too good to us.;)

They say “real life is stranger than fiction.”

In this case “monsters in real life are worse than monsters in any work of fiction.”

Vile people. Someone should put them in touch with the Watts clan.

(And the Donthe Lucas’ Clan, Kelsie Schelling’s case, Pueblo.)

Is anyone else here seriously concerned about the dearth of good, comprehensive, detailed MSM coverage of Day 1 of the trial, or is it just me?

If we took away @GoJacks' posts providing his own firsthand observations on what transpired in that courthouse Friday, what we'd be left with courtesy of MSM would be the following:
  • Brief overview of what both sides argued in their opening statements
  • Couple of short paragraphs' worth of info about CB's testimony
  • Handful of sentences containing actual quotes
  • Cut-and-Paste regurgitation of all the previously known and published facts
  • Spargo's unmatched hyperbole
MSM needs to up their game Big-Time here.

GoJacks can't do everything, the fact that MassGuy expects him to do everything, notwithstanding.

After KB could not be contacted, there was a text or phone call between CB and PF (or KB and PF, cannot remember) — one where the content was not released. This may be it — they are calling it a phone call but I wonder if it was a text.

Soon afterwards Patrick Frazee called Cheryl to inform her Kelsey had moved out, according to the testimony. The mother explained that was odd as she had heard nothing beforehand and maintained a close relationship with her daughter.

The article places this contact in the timeframe after Thanksgiving. Was it, or is the author confused and it actually took place when she moved away from the F house?

If after Thanksgiving, saying that to CB would have been incredibly stupid.

The same article others have mentioned.
Prosecutors call Berreth's mother as opening witness in murder trial
Yeah well so far PF won't be winning any Nobels for intellectual contributions to the world.

this has probably been said but I think kk was jealous and felt threatened by kb's hold on pf and was more than willing to help in the "offing" of kb. Probably thrilled when it was carried thru.

Woke up to 3 pages of reading. Decided to go backwards. Thanks for the morning chuckles! You're killing me :p:D

Yes, it's concerning. I wonder if we could employ the "parent with an electronic device"? Is he even allowed in the court house? Just kidding....., but when you think of how much @GoJacks gave us, I feel we won't hear the half of it from the rest :(

Guys & Gals, Who do you think the prosecution will call to the stand after CB? Will they continue along establishing who Kelsey is or do you think they'll start into LE aspect?

It would be a stark contrast to have SF follow CB, but probably not the best strategy. I think they will call the brother and then LE.

MOO

ETA Others have already expressed this opinion. I should have read on.

  • #1,555
Wait, I thought Mrs.Bates, er SF couldn't be in the courtroom at this time. ????

I believe she was (ahem), "escorted out" of the courtroom after opening statements, before the actual testimony began.

Just for opening statements, I believe. Not during testimony.

I thought about that, too! Put SF on after CB, then follow up with CB2 to get things back on track. The contrast would be very enlightening, IMO.

Agreed...

I guess I thought she was standing next to the table. But, it does sound like sitting on the couch....

I thought she was standing next to the table, too. Maybe KK turned the cushions around instead of trying to clean them so nobody would see the blood...

ETA: the rest of my post

Yes. You're not the only one.

@GoJacks, I'm sure if I could see you, I'd be concerned about you. I'm afraid you're coming down with something, and you probably look a little peaked already. You should call in sick to work, because you don't want your co-workers to catch whatever it is you have. This unfortunate illness will probably last the length of the trial. You can then attend the trial as you recuperate :). You will, of course, have my undying gratitude and admiration. Please consider this. I'm really serious. I'm not kidding. :)

Ha! Not a chance. If Kelsey of all people was treated that way, no way would any prostitute be allowed in that house.

NO ONE WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR HER LITTLE BOY.
That's just so mama Scott Peterson and mama Chris Watts. We know what happened there.
wow. so sad
