I am pleased that Sean did the right thing by testifying against his brother’s interests. That may or may not have been difficult for him.
I think it may have been even though they weren’t close they are still brothers JMO I’ve tried to imagine finding out my sibling or best friend did this - how would I react? Just like Sean I have no doubt - but it would be painful IMO

Then the small added problem of the texts and phone calls that showed the phones communicating with the same towers.

“My client didn’t know he was communicating with himself.”
Yeah, "I couldn't stand that Kelsey was too drunk to communicate for herself, so I just helped the girl out."

SF2 is the one witness whose testimony I was most anticipating in this trial.

He was faced with a tough decision, and today we learned which side he chose:

He's one of the Good Guys.

Guess blue blood runs thicker than red blood, after all.

SF2's testimony is going to prove extremely damaging to PF, and by extremely, I mean, utterly and completely catastrophic.

Not only did his testimony regarding PF's movements/actions, etc. on the 22nd completely jibe with the prosecution's timeline, but also, his non-verbal communication, i.e., his reported stare-down and eye roll at PF as he was exiting the courtroom, will have been noted with great interest by jurors.

That pointed stare and eye roll spoke volumes.
"Louder than words," even.
That message will have registered with the jury, to devastating effect.

Doing the right thing doesn't always feel right.
In fact, sometimes it feels really wrong.
But feelings aren't a barometer for gauging what's true.

Glad SF2 didn't let feelings get in the way of truth.
He got up on the stand and told the truth.
Turns out, not ALL the F's are cut from the same cloth.

This one, at least, is made of much finer material.

Guess we learned today who the pick of that litter is, didn't we?

JMO.
I agree. Imo it appeared that sf2 did not testify just to save his own reputation. (He's gotten a lot of flak online).
But his true feeling about the murder showed through when he stared at his brother.

Yah, he is going to have two try to blame ALL of that on KK somehow.

[Sorry, but my Dad was a defense attorney so I like to pretend I was back working in his office, like I did in college. ]

So I think the only way he could fight this is if he accused her of being the actual murderer but he'd have to admit he was involved in the cover up. And he would have to testify so it would be very very very risky.

But it could help him explain the phones and the texts and his lies.

I can't think of any other defense strategies. They cannot ignore all the massive errors he made that brought in so much evidence already. The only way to explain some of those is by blaming the murder on her and then admitting to trying to help her cover it up. JMO

Question for Sam:

Has it been confirmed that Patrick was driving the truck? Also, how can it be confirmed that Kelsey’s body was in the tote? I ask because the Defense is considering everything circumstantial at this point.

His answer: We’ve seen Frazee on surveillance at a number of spots, including close up at the ATM. It’s him driving the truck. Defense isn’t challenging either

Sean Frazee is the MAN. Hallelujah!

His testimony should carry a lot of weight with the jury.

Any chance Ma F will throw PF under the bus too? She can’t count on PF to help her anymore, he’s going away for life. Will she skip the 5th and just break it all down?

Or am I just hoping for a miracle?

Agree. And SF2's disgust is that PF put him in the position of having to testify against him. SF2 never asked for the subpoena.
In fact, sure he had to secretly wish he'd go his entire life without it.

Wow! Motive.

We also heard CBI Agent Gregg Slater review other evidence pointing possible motive. That includes letter showing #PatrickFrazee was in default in a $72k loan. He had been paying #KelseyBerreth $700/mo in child support but made last payment in June 2019. @csgazette

ETA: 2019 is a typo. It should read 2018

Wonder who he owes...maybe dad?

Yah, I didnt want want her to lose her job, so I texted her boss and said her grandma was ill.

Oh, and I didn't want to worry her mother so I said she was on a road trip.

I bet the brother is wanting PF off of that estate, as the B's have a suit against him correct and they could attach if PF owns any of the estate?

@Colorado303 ? or any other lawyers?
I’m not a lawyer. I did spend one misguided semester in law school a billion years ago but only thing I remember is the process to drop out of law school....

@GoJacks what is the location of the jury box? Trying to figure out if the jury would have been able to see the look of disgust that Sean gave PF.
Here's a picture. Patrick & his defense team would be on your left. Jury is straight across from them. SF2 probably would have been right about where that cop is.

I have to imagine this has been a very awkward situation for SF2 in terms of his career and his coworkers, and the community. And horrible for his children too. I applaud him for stepping up.

I'm now up to date. Thank you all.

My heart and thoughts go out to the Berreth family. I am sending prayers and hope that they will keep their strength during this difficult time.

Bedtime.

I highly doubt it. She's been waiting at the courtroom door just to watch him walk through each day.

If she does, I will be quite surprised.

Me, I went to Nancy Grace tv show school.

Wow! More bombshells in this fast-moving thread.

I know there are many more witnesses and lots of evidence to share but does a trial like this (with this kind of defendant) ever wind up with a plea deal being offered from either side?

Or once a trial gets this far it goes all the way through jury deliberation?

I think the problem is what kind of deal would be palatable to both sides?

But to make that work IMO he would have to take the stand and I don’t think he will

It wouldn't be smart at all for PF to take the stand but... considering the way he has handled everything else so far it wouldn't surprise me if PF has insisted to his lawyers that he wants to "tell his side" in court. That would be fitting with every other tone-deaf move he has made so far. I'm not ruling that out. I hope he does testify. That would just seal his fate all the more. MOO. #JusticeforKelsey

"I can't believe what you've done. I wash my hands of you, Moron."
That message of disdain and contempt that SF2 conveyed to PF will have registered with the jury, to devastating effect.

His own BROTHER doesn't believe he's innocent.

Yes. And it was good strategy to put him up before his mother, who is more questionable.

Now she is in a tougher place. She cannot possibly say PF arrived earlier than 5.

Or that his truck was parked out front in the driveway and nothing seemed amiss.

She has to corroborate what her upstanding Law Enforcement Officer son already testified to.

So what will she do when they begin asking about the fire? And about KK's visit?

It seems from reading on here, that he was paying support monthly since around the birth of the baby. My question is what was the status of their relationship? Were they a couple and if not when did their relationship go south? Did they keep seeing each other or what? Doesn't seem like anyone knew if they were together or broken up? Confusing. Plus that mistress, accomplice, is a big part of this mess. How long was she involved with him?
