Defense is really pushing that "no blood on his clothes" line- how many times have we heard that same line now in the last three days? Is that all they got?

If Patrick didn't have her body in the black tote, which is clearly shown in a different position when he drove by on his way home to the ranch, just where did they think Kelsey was? Still inside the condo, taking a nap?

Are they really going to try and spin this into Krystal showing up two days later, to do the deed and clean up by herself?

I'm far behind reading, but that's when the prosecution pulls out the search warrant info. 22 grey shirts they confiscated. How many white t-shirts? I'd bet at least 22, old and new. I'm sure at least one set at KB's.

Wow! More bombshells in this fast-moving thread.

I know there are many more witnesses and lots of evidence to share but does a trial like this (with this kind of defendant) ever wind up with a plea deal being offered from either side?

Or once a trial gets this far it goes all the way through jury deliberation?

A plea deal can be made anytime during the trial, up until a jury reaches a verdict.

  • #1,383
Yes. And it was good strategy to put him up before his mother, who is more questionable.

Now she is in a tougher place. She cannot possibly say PF arrived earlier than 5.

Or that his truck was parked out front in the driveway and nothing seemed amiss.

She has to corroborate what her upstanding Law Enforcement Officer son already testified to.

So what will she do when they begin asking about the fire? And about KK's visit?
Plead the 5th IMO

Here's a picture. Patrick & his defense team would be on your left. Jury is straight across from them. SF2 probably would have been right about where that cop is.

View attachment 213578

Looks like there's no way that jury would have missed that exchange.

FWIW, I don't think SF2's non-verbals were solely intended for PF.
He wanted to send a message to the people sitting in that jury box, too.

Nobody asked SF2, so he couldn't say it with words, but he wanted everyone in that courtroom, not just PF, to know just what he thought of his brother.

Message. Delivered.

JMO.

I'm curious....Did any of you (like me) roll your eyes in disgust to mimic what you picture Sean doing to Patrick?
Absolutely! Several times, lol. :p

  • #1,386
I highly doubt it. She's been waiting at the courtroom door just to watch him walk through each day.

If she does, I will be quite surprised.

You are probably right GoJacks. But I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed.

If this were a football game, Dan May is playing on gold plated AstroTurf with angels flying above....and Steigerwald is knee deep in a mud bowl.

You keep coming through for us, GoJacks!
No word for that courtroom but "cozy".
Everybody has to see everything!

It seems from reading on here, that he was paying support monthly since around the birth of the baby. My question is what was the status of their relationship? Were they a couple and if not when did their relationship go south? Did they keep seeing each other or what? Doesn't seem like anyone knew if they were together or broken up? Confusing. Plus that mistress, accomplice, is a big part of this mess. How long was she involved with him?
This is the crux of the matter - KB thought they were a couple PF not so much / he was “involved” with KK prior and began asking her to kill KB fall of 2018 - his brother had never met KB IIRC and there’s so much more

  • #1,389
Wonder who he owes...maybe dad?
moo
Or, did he take out a loan and mummy co-signed for it? He would need co-sign since he owned no property of his own.

RECAP - COURT ADJOURNED FOR THE DAY

Lance Benzel on Twitter
#PatrickFrazee trial is done for the day after prosecutors ran thru all their scheduled witnesses early. #KelseyBerreth @csgazette
2:16 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
Among the highlights of afternoon session was admission of hand-written doc — found at #PatrickFrazee ranch — in which he lays out time line of events surrounding #KelseyBerreth’s disappearance. He says he met her at 12:30 p.m. to exchange child.
2:18 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
This is plainly contradicted by surveillance from multiple locations and receipts charting their movements. #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth
2:19 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Elise Schmelzer on Twitter
Testimony so far this afternoon has focused on two turning points in investigation of #KelseyBerreth disappearance: a blood stain her brother found on the bottom of her toilet, and the last time her phone ever pinged a cell tower. That ping in southern ID lead them to key witness
2:20PM - 5 Nov 2019

Elise Schmelzer on Twitter
Prosecutors have also talked about finances between Berreth and #PatrickFrazee. Frazee was late on payments on a $72k loan and had been paying Berreth $700/month in child support for many months. His brother earlier said the family had clashed over deceased dad’s $400k estate.
2:20 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Elise Schmelzer on Twitter
One prosecutor said financial situation would become important part of case — not entirely clear how just yet.
2:20 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Elise Schmelzer on Twitter
Prosecutors seem to be setting up for testimony for key witness Krystal Lee Kenney, Frazee’s lover who told police he killed Berreth. Prosecutors are asking witnesses about Kenney’s role.
2:20 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Elise Schmelzer on Twitter
We ended early today — prosecution ran out of witnesses for today. I am thankful for this because that means I get to run in the sunlight! Maybe!
2:20 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
We also heard CBI Agent Gregg Slater review other evidence pointing possible motive. That includes letter showing #PatrickFrazee was in default in a $72k loan. He had been paying #KelseyBerreth $700/mo in child support but made last payment in June 2019. @csgazette
2:21 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Some afternoon notes: - Police found interesting financial records when searching the Frazee Ranch on Dec. 14-15. - A letter shows he “defaulted” on a $70k+ loan, missing a payment on Dec. 1. - CBI Agent Gregg Slater says Frazee paid Berreth $700/month in child support
2:24 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Just like that, Court is done for the say. Prosecutors “ran out of witnesses” in comparison to what they were expecting. Judge Scott Sells says we’re still on pace. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee
2:22 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
Slater said investigators also found half-completed court forms for a child custody issue, though none were filed. #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth @csgazette
2:23 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer‏ @SamKraemerTV
Those child support payments were made from Oct 2017 (child’s birth) to July 2018, and Slater noted one of the last payments was about $150 short with “registration and taxes” written on the check. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee
2:25 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
And Slater covered a fateful discovery: when investigators received phone records showing that #PatrickFrazee called Krystal Lee Kenney at roughly 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, about when he was allegedly seen leaving #KelseyBerreth’s house.
2:26 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer on Twitter
They also touched on a handwritten note from Frazee that appears to be an alibi for Nov. 22. View the top paragraph of this email for what that note said. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee

2:27 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
At the time, Slater knew that #KelseyBerreth’s phone had last pinged in Idaho, near where Krystal Kenney lived. “It sparked my interest, yes,” he said on stand. #PatrickFrazee @csgazette
2:27 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer on Twitter
As we reported in the days leading up to Frazee’s arrest, Slater said cell phone records were key. Upon seizing Frazee’s phone, they saw he made a call to a number later identified belonging to Krystal Kenney around the time police say he left Berreth’s home. @KOAA
2:29 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer on Twitter
When they determined the phone number Frazee called was in Idaho, combined with knowledge Berreth’s phone last pinged in Idaho, Slater says they focused on foul play & Frazee being a suspect. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee

The jury has gone home for the day in #PatrickFrazee's murder trial. Judge Sells-" prosecution has run out of witnesses" due to travel arrangements. Parties are in closed court now. This afternoon spent corroborating facts. 830 Wednesday start #kelseyberreth @ABC
2:35 PM - 5 Nov 2019

Lance Benzel on Twitter
As for the black tote that allegedly changed positions in #PatrickFrazee pickup, defense attorney Adam Steigerwald suggested an alternate explanation. He pointed out that Frazee stopped at a Walmart and purchased a number of large items including dog food. @csgazette

Testimony resumes at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Please follow @JakobRodgers for continuing updates. He will be manning the tweets for the next couple days at least, then I’ll be back. #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth @csgazette

On a lighter note in what is a very serious case: Only one person (who I'm not going to name) has had a slip of the tongue in court and accidentally called #PatrickFrazee "Patrick Swayze" in front of everyone.

Nov. 22, 2018 was the last day #KelseyBerreth was seen alive. Surveillance video paints a pretty accurate picture of what she and her fiance were doing -- and the painstaking efforts investigators took to find out that information. #9NEWS

We got out of court a little early today. The last investigator to testify explained how they found custody papers in #PatrickFrazee home. They were dated August 9, 2018. @KKTV11News #KelseyBerreth

We also learn #PatrickFrazee hired a lawyer to help with those custody papers. They were never filed, but they existed. We've heard rumors about this before. It was confirmed today. @KKTV11News #KelseyBerreth

Another thing about the couples daughter. Investigators say from Oct 2017-July 2018 #PatrickFrazee was paying about $700 in child support to #KelseyBerreth. The child support money was not court ordered.

#UPDATE our cameras caught #Frazee leaving court today after day 3 of his trial. As you can see he’s dawning a red shirt, a different look than why we’re used to.

I know it's not a very clear image but Frazee looks beaten down and desolate in that picture of him leaving court today.

I wonder if that look from his brother shook him up or if he just realizes he's completely finished.

I've seen many trials on TV where the defendant sees the handwriting on the wall (even after the jury goes back to deliberate) and he decides to plead guilty.

It seems from reading on here, that he was paying support monthly since around the birth of the baby. My question is what was the status of their relationship? Were they a couple and if not when did their relationship go south? Did they keep seeing each other or what? Doesn't seem like anyone knew if they were together or broken up? Confusing. Plus that mess, accomplice, is a big part of this mess. How long was she involved with him?
They met in 2016, I believe.

KB was planning on going to dinner with PF on Thanksgiving according to what she told her mother. Her co-worker testified that she planned to bring PF to the company Christmas party.

PF was cheating on her and plotting her murder. MOO

An employee at Doss Aviation testified that KB sent a text saying she was planning on bringing PF to the upcoming Christmas/Holiday Party. PF was clearly leading KB on and at the same time he was telling anyone who would listen what a terrible person she was. He is a disgusting human being.

Why would pf mother be a witness for the prosecution? Is that what they call a hostile witness?

iirc, they jointly owned a vehicle. I don't remember the make or year. I don't know how CO handles vehicle licensing but in my state in order to renew plates, we pay for the registration plus taxes.

JMO
I believe it was a Toyota vehicle. I read the statement as the last check he gave KB was $150 short and then stubbed it as license and registration. I may be totally off on my interpretation , will go back and check.

That was around Dec. 17. The search warrant on the Frazee Ranch shows he also went to a Waste Management facility on Dec. 1, dropping 70 yards of “household trash”
