So, he offered her a dog and then wanted her to pay for it...? And never told her how he felt... KK, that should have been a clue, dear! MOO

Frazee trial: Kenney testifies, details their relationship
[...]

In December of 2008, Frazee said he wanted to buy her a border collie. He said he had bought a dog in Texas that came with a puppy that he didn’t want, so he offered it to Kenney, she said. Kenney said she knew he raised them, along with other ranch animals. When she went to Colorado to pick up the dog, Frazee told her she had to make a choice between him and her Lee. At the time, Kenney said she knew he was dating another woman.

She said he told her, “You can’t ride two horses at the same time, so you need to make a choice.” When Viehman asked why Frazee would believe he was one of those “horses,” Kenney said he could probably tell that she still had feelings for him. She said, through tears on the witness stand, that she’d never felt that kind of chemistry before. He never talked about his feelings for her, she said.

While it's irrelevant whether or not he actually succeeded in killing the dog, having made the threat shows his violent/abusive nature.

Even if he never intended to actually kill the dog, the threat alone is psychological abuse.

(If someone threatens someone dear to you, it scares you - the threat is intended to cause fear or it wouldn't be spoken. It also may be meant to exert control over you - particularly if they also demand something in order to 'keep them from murdering [whomever]'.)

Just based on today's morning questioning, it seems the prosecution wants the jury to have some comprehension of how Patrick could have manipulated KK for years, causing her to drive to CO and participate in the cover-up.

People who haven't dealt with a malignant narcissist would struggle to get this.

I'm sure they're probably rolling their eyes like Sean did but they're getting a snapshot of Patrick's manipulation.

DA May would love to hear MaF's take on Patrick's behavior and he may get it since that testimony wouldn't incriminate her. (It might shorten her life as sonny boy tries to arrange her murder from behind bars though.) MOO

Right, but those were downstairs. This is the first mention of candles upstairs. And wondering why they needed to be cleaned off/up??

Exactly.

I hope you’re right on that as well. Cuz it’s PF on trial, not KK. And although I’m not in the courtroom, I’m pretty sure PF isn’t coming off as “likeable”. Though that being said, I want him to be found guilty based on his actions, not his personality, or lack thereof.

No chance of that, IMO. Even to that frontier wildcard, open-minded, independent-streaky, cowboy-favouring, Western courteous, underdog-loving juror with the artisanal baby sock business on Etsy.

Me too. Also, to a numpty like PF, it might have been easier to explain the non-fatal coffee poisoning -- lack of precision with dosing, not everyone responds the same to meds, a front stoop isn't a hospital room, so I couldn't really stand there and watch to make sure she drank it all, etc -- than somehow failing to kill KB with a metal tube or bat.

I'm not even sure that KK's goal in this was to eliminate, through murder, a rival. She'd already had years of practice with PF's bizarre "loyalty tests" -- paying for the gifted dog, having a termination, trucking out to CO for a shag, so maybe she thought she could defeat KB in that way. Prove that she was his best girl, blah blah blah.

Can't pretend to make sense of her actions and feel she is likely to be one of those people that can justify nearly anything. It's the driving out one last time to clean up a murder scene -- another and particularly vicious test of loyalty -- that is truly baffling. And yet over and over we see friends and families help out with a "disposal" at enormous cost and risk to themselves. Why does anyone do it? Why did she?

Exactly. Your second paragraph is exactly what I mean when I describe it as a game to KK - until it wasn't.

And, the word "numpty" is now firmly in my vocabulary.

UPDATE: Krystal Lee, the mistress of #PatrickFrazee, describes a gruesome scene she found upon entering #KelseyBerreth's townhome. It capped the final hours of testimony today. @csgazette

Lee (who no longer goes by last name of Kenney), described blood in all directions in #KelseyBerreth's house -- sometimes on the wall higher than she could reach. Bloody footprings tracked in most rooms. And she found a tooth behind a cedar chest. @csgazette #PatrickFrazee

Lee said it took her about four hours to clean #KelseyBerreth's condo. She took from there six garbage bags of curtains, washclothes, child's toys and other items stained with blood that she couldn't clean.

Please stop.

KK says KB's final words to PF.

:(

There are many, many, many things I just can’t wrap my mind around in this case, but one that got me after today is that PF told KK that KB was harming the baby and at no point did she tell him to call CPS?!! If I’m a juror I want to ask that question, why? Or am I just being too logical for this case?

LOVE IT!!

Court should be adjourning for the day right about now I think?

"Her mom and that little girl never needed to see what Patrick did to her," Lee said. "And I didnt know he was capable of that. I didn't think he was capable of what happened."

I do believe CC will realize he has been duped and he will come around. Sometimes it’s hard when you know a person one way and you believe their lies. I’m sure he is feeling really raw right now. JMO

Raw ... and numpty...

My heart can’t take that if it’s true.

Oh god.
That’s just horrific. And so real. I feel sh**ty for having the chuckles I’ve had for the last hour. ;)
