I’m almost glad that I can’t think like this guy.

I think he decided to burn the body at home, because he was comfortable there. He also had everything he needed, and probably felt like there was little chance of being spotted.

As for Ma, I think he either wasn’t concerned that she would see anything, or wasn’t worried if she did.
Remember too that he was working on the fly as he expected KK to haul the body back toward Idaho but she was in her friend's car with the expired tags.

Stressed much?

He’s done.

The two young men also testified that they helped #PatrickFrazee dispose of a metal trough that prosecutors say Frazee used to burn #KelseyBerreth's body. Frazee never told them anything other than wood and deer or elk antlers were burned in the fire.

I'm not surprised the cross was short. I was thinking this morning, I would HATE to be a defense attorney and have to come up with questions to ask her. You would have to be careful because you wouldn't want to have her repeat anything she said, or God forbid, remember more damning details. What could he do other than focus on the plea deal? There is at least some chance, however infinitesimal, that the jury could think she is completely unreliable due to the deal she got.

Lee described the scene again on the stand Thursday, telling the jury, "I saw blood all over the floor and blood all over the wall ... there was blood on the front of the stove and the dishwasher, and on the floor there were bloody footprints."

As the prosecutor showed a picture of a young, smiling Kaylee, sitting on the floor of her room with her little arms outstretched toward the camera, Lee cried on the stand and described items in the background of the photo that she said had blood on them.

Prosecutors on Thursday also showed the jury a video clip investigators recorded when they took Lee to Frazee's property in Florissant, Colorado. In the clip, Lee described the black tote that allegedly held Berreth’s body, as well as the location of the aluminum water trough where she claims the tote was set on fire.

"This has all been cleaned up since I was here," Lee said on the video, showing investigators where she said Frazee had positioned a red can of gasoline.

"He also threw in motor oil," Lee said on the video.

[...]

On the video, Lee told investigators she threw all of the items she says she took from Berreth's bloodied condo -- including curtains, stuffed animals and towels -- into the fire.

"I also threw in all the clothing that I'd been wearing," Lee told the investigators.

Testimony was delayed nearly two hours on Thursday morning because the defendant felt ill, according to Judge Scott Sells. Frazee was given medication and felt better, the judge said, and then the jury was seated.

"I have no indication Mr. Frazee was feigning any illness," Sells assured the jury.

[…]

Lee explained to the jury that she was too scared to go to the police.

"He told me that he had people, that he had people everywhere," Lee said on the stand Wednesday. "I figured I was dispensable at that point.”

But Lee added, "I loved and cared for him. He was my best friend."

Yes. They were brought up for a reason the other day, and today we apparently found out why.

I am amazed no one reported the fire when it was as high as the trees at first. How far away are the closest neighbours?

Not directed at you @katydid23. Just commenting.

You have to remember we're talking about country living here. Neighbors either can't see or if they did see it, they probably wouldn't think twice about it. It sounds like he got the sheet of metal on it fairly quickly too.

OK, I think what happened is that she is to be possibly recalled. The are REALLY going in chronological order. So they left her off the stand up to the burn, then the two guys next to follow.

MOO

I would think the same thing. But recently, a young lady was burned in Salt Lake right behind a house in a residential area (MacKenzie Lueck). I don’t believe anyone reported smelling the type of odor you would expect.

MOO
Actually...the neighbors did smell a strange odor...if I recall correctly. moo
