Right? How many father figure, role models does this guy have?
Apparently he didn't appreciate them as upstanding role models.

Something is seriously off with this guy. No emotion what so ever displayed during the trial, from what reporters and GoJacks has said so far.

Makes me wonder if he didn't get kicked in the head a few times as kid.

I know others didn't agree with me in earlier posts, but I thought that something happened between Patrick and Kelsey earlier in the year that caused his murder method seeking and talk. I'm not surprised that he started planning back in April. I think it happened around January or shortly after.

Which begs the question- when Kelsey pointed her own gun at her head and mentioned something about shooting herself, and he took the gun from her (and returned it the day before Thanksgiving)- if he wanted to get rid of her so badly, why not tell family and friends what she said and did? From what I remember, Cheryl mentioned something about this happened back in January. So why the heck did he return her gun to her the day before? What purpose did that serve? Kelsey, I believe, was upset because possibly Patrick didn't want to get married or move in with her, due to finances. Of course, we all know that was such a farce- he obviously never loved the poor woman in the first place. This talk about using her for what she's worth- once again, he couldn't hold a candle to her.

The dumb butt used a baseball bat- I still can't get past the evil that lives in him, to do such a thing. Absolutely horrific.

I wasn't there the day they showed pictures of the inside of PF's house but I heard/saw people say it looked like a hoarders house.

Bags of teeth and all. I would not be surprised.

I think DA May made a very conscious decision about his strategy against PF:

SHOW. NO. MERCY.

When he heard KK's account of what PF did, and what she found, and then looked at the "voluminous evidence" in this case, he determined that he was going to land as many blows as he could possibly muster against PF.

PF bludgeoned KB unmercifully physically.

Dan May is bludgeoning PF legally just as hard, if not harder, than PF bludgeoned KB.

He can't leave PF in a literal bloody heap on the floor when all is said and done (due to CO's crappy stance r/t the dp), but he's going to leave PF in a figurative bloody heap on that courtroom floor.

When this trial is over we may learn that the DA wasn't even willing to negotiate a plea deal with PF, based on the strength of the evidence and the strength of his conviction that PF has to pay the max penalties he can levy against him.

I think DA May decided that he would meet PF's savagery with righteous fury.

He is extracting his pound of flesh on KB's behalf.

Dan May is an absolute Superstar.

He's KB's Champion.

He's a Brilliant Strategist.

He. Is. Awesome.

JMO.

Patrick started to view Kelsey as an inconvenient and aggravating object. But more importantly, because she was the mother of “his” child, he couldn’t discard her like normal breakup without killing her. Psychopathic Patrick couldn’t consider shared custody, because Patrick doesn’t share. He wants full control and compliance, whether through threats, punishment, and/or ultimately through murder.
Wow - @PommyMommy do you think we can copy this post to the media thread ?

I still do not understand why he hated her- she did not have to move to CO, bear his child, etc. She had a good family, a good job.... what was the whole point of this? he invited her out there and commenced a relationship with her. he could have just had his affair with KK. why all this hatred and violence? I will never get it.

I don't think he actually "hated" her. I think, in his warped mind, he felt that he "loved" her. But to his mind, and to most abusers, that love is actually possessiveness and a desire to control, not real love.

He felt that he owned her, and if she were trying to break up (as her aunt said) or didn't intend to marry him (quite possible) or he even FELT there was anyone else - real or not - he could not stand to not have her.

He acted that way with KK, too. It's not unusual for the killer/abuser to already have another gf and still want to "own" the one who is abused/killed. But KK was much easier to manipulate and control.

He had KK's vm password. Why would someone have that? To make sure they weren't talking to anyone else.

This is an underestimated cause of a lot, if not most, abuse. While money plays into it, that jealousy/feeling of control/ownership of the woman is a huge motivator of violence.

It's true in so many murder cases. "If I can't have you - nobody can."

Same.

Ha! He was too cheap to even burn his clothes like KK did. (KK testified she burned everything in the fire that she wore that day).
yeah even her underwear...like why the underwear????
And thanks KK for that visual I can't unsee.

ug. does anyone think he has killed anyone else?

Possibly. I suspect he tried, and failed.

Look how he fouled this up. I'd think if he had killed someone before, we would know about it.

I doubt he reads or watches the news...
Well even if he did, Kelsey meant less than nothing to him, so why would he think a little nobody like her, would even be missed by so many people?

They have huge "blind sides" these creatures... giant vacant places where human souls should be and they don't get the power of love. At all.

Question for medical personnel - my child once hit his head and the amount of blood was considerable for a small wound. One of the issues I am having as a non-medical person is how on earth KK cleaned up the blood scene so well in just 4 hours. By police accounts and CB and CB2 accounts, no blood was obvious. It is hard for me to believe someone could clean THAT well. Do not get me wrong - I believe he did it. I am just wondering if her medical knowledge gave her experience or knowledge that the average person does not have. For the scene described, I would think it would take days, as well as more days to kill the overpowering bleach smell. Can any medical people help me understand it?

The condo was just 700+ square feet and was sparsely furnished.
KK threw away anything that required great effort to clean including the curtains which she ripped down, breaking the rod.
It seems the blood on the floors seeped under the boards so it was no longer evident.
She was highly motivated as Patrick told her their lives depended on the clean-up.
I would bet she had taken some kind of uppers in order to stay awake for the all night drive so she was running in high gear.
She is a nurse and did have training in cleaning up bodily fluids.
The bleach smell was undone by scented candles left burning in the condo.

Hi guys. I haven't been posting, just trying to lurk and keep up.

However....regarding PF's surprise that KB's disappearance was noticed and garnered national attention.

On August 24, 2018, a woman named Terri Ackerman disappeared from her home in Lochbuie, Colorado, about two hours northeast of Florissant. I believe there may be a WS thread on her.

Her disappearance didn't make national news or even state news. She disappeared without a trace and I believe she left behind her purse and phone. She was living with her family. AFAIK, still not a word about her - no massive manhunts, nothing. She is not the kind of woman who is sadly likely to fall through the cracks - someone involved in prostitution and/or drugs or an otherwise risky lifestyle. She was a wife and mother and grandmother in her 50's living in a decent neighborhood.

If PF was aware of her disappearance, he may very well have thought that KB's disappearance would also generate little to no excitement, just as Terri Ackerman's did.

Great observation perhaps he was following along - maybe he even checked into Websleuths ??? Or someone close to him perhaps? Nothing will surprise me now / and I will go have a look at her thread and see if I can help - thank you for bringing this up !

Terri's thread: CO - CO - Terri Ackerman, 56, Lochbuie, 24 Aug 2018

I found his knowing her voicemail password highly controlling IMO

“He couldn’t understand what this whole big thing was all about,” Moore said. “It made no sense to him. (He said) ‘People go missing every day all across the United States and this is national news. It’s coast-to-coast coverage. I don’t even understand why there is such a big deal over this.’”

What a narcissistic thing to say.
Ice cold.

Isn't that awful? Chemicals, sharp edges, a hot-burning stove in the center of the house, and few toys. :(:(:(

Probly cheesy toys PF got at the Conoco. Loser.

I don't think Patrick had Kelsey's blood on him at that point.

Bet he just got excited talking about it.

yeah- he goes beyond having no emotion- IMO- he seems proud that he killed KB, as if this was an achievement. thus he calls KK and gets her involved and he talks to JM.
