Interesting.....
But we do have someone other than KK's word there was a fire.

"Ritchie said after Thanksgiving he saw the pallets burned and saw Frazee near the fire."

We haven't been privy to every sentence at the trial, so it could be that the ranch hands saw PF's mom come out on the porch. As the trial goes on this information may come out.

Too many times when we think we actually got it down how it went down, then somebody else testifies and gives just a little bit more information and we end up with more to the puzzle.

Former ranch hands testify in Frazee murder trial

It was a ranch. Of course they have contained fires. How is that proof KB's body was in the fire which they could only pinpoint to "around Thanksgiving?" The ranch hands really added nothing of substance because they didn't see the actual fire. They didn't smell any accelerants and said there was more trash around the ranch to be burned.

The key takeaway from your link is that PF was in no hurry to get any of it quickly to the waste station or to the scrap metal folks. It says it was done over a several week period after the week of Thanksgiving and there was still more to clean up.

I think SF will testify why there was a need for the clean up. I'm betting it was tied to probate of the father's estate.

I don't think that is correct.

One Ranch hand did see PF at the fire.

Former ranch hands testify in Frazee murder trial

"Ritchie said after Thanksgiving he saw the pallets burned and saw Frazee near the fire. He said Frazee burned a few shed deer antlers, and the fire got about 13 feet high."
When? The next morning?? Maybe PF had another fire as a cover for the first? The ranch hand also spoke of a metal garbage bin next to the fire that weighed between 40 and 50 lbs. that he helped PF with. Never mentioned KK. Said "after" TG.

The ranch hands were not there for the fire. They said that PF told them about the fire AND that PF told him that SF came out and yelled at PF about the fire. It was in the Sam fb live recap that night. I will look for my link. I remember typing this.

SusiQ, I guess Ill stand corrected. But after reading the article I thought I understood it was the night of the tote burning.

"Ritchie said after Thanksgiving he saw the pallets burned and saw Frazee near the fire. He said Frazee burned a few shed deer antlers, and the fire got about 13 feet high."

I assumed it was that night, maybe I'm wrong.

Here we go. Both ranch hands mentioned in their testimony that PF said that SF had come out to see the fire.

My notes from transcribing Sam's fb live notes of the witnesses that day:

Still Missing - CO - Kelsey Berreth, 29, Woodland Park, Teller County, 22 Nov 2018 - *Arrest* #61

Ranch hand Richie's testimony (as described by Sam Kraemer): Could smell ash, smoke. As part of the fire, PF said he burnt some deer antlers. Possibly to justify there being bones if indeed there were any bones discovered. (Sam's speculation). Flames got as high as 13 feet. PF was concerned that trees could get set on fire. PF mentioned that his mother had come out.

Still Missing - CO - Kelsey Berreth, 29, Woodland Park, Teller County, 22 Nov 2018 - *Arrest* #61

Ranch hand Sam's testimony: The other ranch hand on the stand... I think his name is Sam... confirmed he helped move the trough after the fire. PF mentioned his mom yelling at him during the fire and that's why he put it out. PF also told him about the deer antlers.

The parts about SF aren't recapped in an article that I can find, but it was in Sam Kraemer's FB live video.

In PF’s dog training video, there’s several watering troughs (one appears to be rusted), inside the dog training area.

The trough that appears to be rusted to me is the green rectangular trough (which fits the definition of trough.) iirc, somebody described the rusted one as round. Around these parts, we refer to the large, silver, circular ones as "stock tanks."

Maybe, but then wouldn't that apply to the friend he told and KK's friend and the lawyer and anyone else that knew, too?

I don't know what her obstruction might be, if it is that.

Their testimony jibed perfectly with KK’s testimony, from the height of the flames that PF told them, to SF standing on the porch.

The timing of what they testified to, also fit perfectly with what KK said.

He wanted to make that burn area disappear, and these two unwittingly helped him with that.

So I guess that human tooth didn’t convince you huh?

No worries :) It does get a little confusing at times.

I can say with certainty. If I were to go outside and dig a hole near my house, I would not uncover a human tooth.

I just don’t understand how anyone can overlook that evidence, and pretty much say that it’s not proof of KK’s account (regarding the fire).

Especially combined with the rest of it.

Given it’s a ranch and it’s not unusual to have fires, then it would seem SF shouldn’t have any issue with testifying she saw the fire.

Thanks. Do you recall if either ranch hand testified as to what time they were told the fire took place?

I didn’t mean to derail the thread and seem selfish. I just pray for CB and wish I could comfort her in some small way. God bless her!! Thanks everyone.
You are definitely not selfish.
Bless you and we appreciate your thoughts and comments!

ITA. Kelsey was everything he wasn’t and he hated her for it.

JMO
Exactly. That with his lack of empathy, sense of entitlement, and his need to control everything under the sun was a deadly combination.

He couldn't suck it up and co-parent because that takes cooperation and putting your child's needs first. He wanted his way, his child, his money. I know I've said this before and I'll say it again...To PF, this is his world and we're just living in it. CB testified to the fact KB put God first. Here's a clue PF, she wasn't talking about You!

MOO.
