Wouldn't he have had to wait about five years or longer to get any money from the life insurance policy, though? And if he set it up to look like a suicide would he still get the money?
SUSAN Powell has been missing for over a decade and she still hasn’t been declared dead.

If the remaining witnesses are able to establish KB’s blood under the floorboards and/or that the partial tooth was hers, then maybe it will be easier to have her declared dead. And you’re right, PF can’t benefit from a death that he himself caused. I’m sure they would still pay it out, but to KB2.

It is really kind of pitiful isn't it? Sitting there, day after day, the subject of gossip and speculation, an older, rougher version of KK, used and abused by PF too, promises made, promises broken...but still she waits. Sad. MOO

I'm not yet giving into such. With his planned alibi, that he was at the franch and so was KB ... I'm not giving into that she was totally in the dark prior to preliminary etc.

Agree to an extent about CW pleading. I still can't get past him killing his babies, too- children he helped bring into the world and raised, until he did this sick and vile act, but yes, at least he didn't make her family go through this torture.

I think about SW and the babies constantly. It’s definitely a case that will stay with me. I actually just posted on that thread how I can’t hear the Mickey Mouse hot dog song without thinking of them all.

On topic- PF was trying so hard to ruin KB’s name. Can you imagine poor SW and her reputation if CW hadn’t pled? Ugh. Now if only he will melt into oblivion.

I hate PF for dragging KB out to CO, then having the nerve to cheat on her and smear her name. I hope she at least had some good work friends. It doesn’t sound like she had much of a life outside of work and baby K. Nothing on her as I’m sure she had a ton of loved ones back home. It just attests even more to the isolation PF put her in.

Is this new info that KB was switching to part time status at Doss? And do we know why the switch?

I'm 90 behind on catching up on the threads, but in a previous MSM she had changed to 3 days a week. And no, I cannot find on thread but I don't do social media other than MSM, so iirc, she was doing 3 days a week recently.

Perhaps others have updated to this post.

ETA, if no-one recalls, a question for Sam as I'm 99% sure I read somewhere

If the over/under on jury deliberations in this case is four hours (something I just made up), what say you guys?

I’m going with the under.

We're on lunch break now, testimony resumes at 12:30. Judge has noted that trial is well-ahead of schedule. He advised jurors that we could hear closing arguments as early as Friday in this case (originally expected this trial to last through 11/22/19)

Previous witnesses have testified that Patrick claimed Kelsey was an unfit mother, who abused her daughter and gave up custody. Kelseys co-workers said the complete opposite: Testified Kelsey was a devoted mother, and when they met baby in person, she seemed happy and healthy

Some of Kelsey’s co-workers also testified that they knew she took some time off in August 2018 to attend a program out of state. They understood this to be rehabilitation for chronic-fatigue or stress management, not substance abuse.

We heard from those 2 HR employees & several co-workers of Kelsey’s (all flight instructors too) who all testified they saw no evidence that Kelsey struggled with any kind of substance abuse. One coworker said Kelsey didn’t drink at all, at one point when he knew her.

10:40 AM - 13 Nov 2019

HR employee also mentioned life insurance policy Kelsey had with Doss, w/ Patrick as her beneficiary. However, Doss was transitioning to new benefits company around the time Kelsey disappeared, & HR said Kelsey never completed new enrollment, so, there was no new policy ^^ bbm

Other witnesses have testified that Patrick told them Kelsey had issues with alcohol and drugs. These HR employees who worked w/ Kelsey at Doss testified that they had no evidence of that. Part of her hiring at Doss required a drug test, they said.

Next we hear from 2 human resource employees, both used to work at Doss Aviation (where Kelsey worked). They testify that Kelsey moved from full-time to part-time shortly before she went missing. Both said there were conversations about impact that would have on health benefits.

First witness handles records for Teller County waste. She says no record of trash put out at Kelsey’s Woodland Park condo from the week of Thanksgiving 2018 (week she was allegedly killed) until late December 2018 (12/21/18).

Testimony continues today in the #KelseyBerreth murder trial. We are well into the long list of witnesses called by the prosecution. Today is day 8 for witness testimony, judge comments that we've heard from 60+ already #9news

I think it more likely they had dinner in Pueblo after work.

Nov 20, 2018 was a Tuesday and don't think co-worker's first choice would be to drive all the way to WP. I also believe KK worked on Wednesday and that would not be very convenient given her schedule. MOO

I was thinking KB might have invited the co worker and spouse over for dinner, might explain the unknown DNA I've always considered she might have had friends over.

I think we know enough about PF that he would have killed KB without a motive. He said it best: I just want her gone.

Also, a motive isn't necessary to convict him. For the jury, PF either killed KB or he didn't. It's that simple.

MOO
Great insight. imo.

Pf had been thinking about this for a long time apparently. How easy would it be to "dispose of a body" in CO. ect... (Seriously, who thinks about things like that on the regular?),

We already know he is obsessed with himself. He thinks of himself as some sort of Casanova, All inclusive package, Favorite Son... He's gotten away with abuse of animals, girlfriends, family unchecked... life is good, people and animals exist to do his bidding, or else.. why shouldn't he get away with murder?

This is the type of personality disorder, that is born, not bread, imo. Just the very fact, that he was "distressed" that it was harder than he thought, to kill someone with a bat. Tell us what an evil, delusional world he has going on inside his head

That's about a week earlier than the judge in the #PatrickFrazee case had originally expected.

BREAKING: Prosecutors on pace to rest tomorrow or Friday. “We’re down to our last few witnesses,” DA Dan May says. If timeline holds, closing arguments could be Friday afternoon, defense says. #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth @csgazette
I'm guessing that the defense's case will be considerable shorter than the prosecution's. :p:cool:;)

We heard from a few more Doss coworkers who shared a similar message about Berreth being a great coworker. A CBI serologist also testified about her work to compile a DNA kit. Seems like we may hear results this afternoon. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

Flying through witnesses again, Judge Sells says we are on track to having closing arguments on Friday. The state moved some witnesses up to this afternoon. Still waiting on a few to fly in as well. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

BBM.

Do Beneficiaries Need an SSN?
Generally speaking, no. This is because life insurance policies do not require adding the social security number with the name of the beneficiary. You can leave the money to whomever you choose, so an SSN is not necessary. However, for identification, the recipient does need to prove who they are so they can receive the benefits.”

Can You Legally Get Life Insurance without a Social Security Number?

I know back in the mid 1990's when I sold insurance I had to include a SS# for each beneficiary, it may be some companies require it and some don't.

So she never completed the new enrollment at Doss for life insurance benefits!

ETA: like I said before, interesting timing for all of this. Doesn't sound like the old policy wasn't out yet

Hot tamale! Just catching up now.

No wonder PF didn’t have a real job. Too busy juggling successful women (and then Resenting them later).

I’m tooting my own horn on insurance $. Saw that from a mile away. PF too lazy to work to buy his own ranch. Probably couldn’t afford
It anymore due to rising property values in Colorado.

Well how will that be ready by Friday?

Waiting on the prosecution to present them, not receive them from the lab.
