I'm still wondering...maybe the atty's on here can comment. Is the defense setting up the case so that PF can claim ineffective counsel on appeal since they've been so ineffective on crossing and not bringing witnesses in? I mean, I understand that there were likely no witnesses to vouch for PF save his ma, but really? Nothing. They gave it nothing?

Well, I did write a post that said KK was not scared. I can see now how scary he is. Not that she isn't guilty. She knew he was capable of hurting her family.

I don’t understand why the judge said, I assume in front of the jury, that there was enough evidence for burglary. Talk about suggestion.

Defense attorney asked it in front of the jury, so the judge answered it in front of the jury.

The state took a trial estimated to last 3+ weeks and got it done in 2 weeks. Got their witnesses on the stand and off, without dragging things out. Put their lead witness in the middle and used multiple different witnesses to corroborate and flesh out her testimony, showing she was being truthful and accurate.

And the state left the defense without anything to say or present.

A masterclass in prosecutorial performance. Really, really impressive IMO.

KK is actually lucky to be alive ... he could have snuffed her out right away on 11/24, and I’m betting right now he’s regretting doing so!

I'm kind of surprised that the defense didn't demand a handwriting expert of their own choosing to verify that the 'letters' were actually written by PF, and not under duress.

At this point it would not have done any good anyway.

Why humiliate themselves further?
I'm sure they know PF is guilty, and that everyone else knows it too.

There's just no point in fighting.

NEW: The state has rested its case. Judge Scott Sells informed Patrick Frazee of his rights. Frazee chose to remain silent. Additionally, the defense rested its case without calling any witnesses.

Closings will not happen until Monday, though, because both attorneys are still deciding on final jury instructions. The defense is trying to get at least one of the first-degree murder charges dropped to lesser charges. The court expects to finish jury instructions today, and the jury has been sent home for the day.

I would agree that PF's lack of conscious and lack of moral values would let him commit other murders. But I don't believe he's smart enough to get away with it. He would have already been caught.

Another note from Frazee says he’s not a criminal but “this planning and talking gets my blood flowing”. In exchange, the man says Frazee helped him bond out of jail. Frazee’s notes said they could “do a lot of **** together”.

Explosive testimony today from a man who was fellow inmate w/ Frazee in jail. He testified he used to be in a prison gang, and Patrick asked him to kill off witnesses ahead of the #KelseyBerreth murder trial. List included Krystal Lee (key witness) & some of her family #9News

The fact PF even considers he'll get off is unbelievable.
No wonder, he pleaded 'non guilty'.
Then
Frazee’s notes said they could “do a lot of **** together” (from above post).

So PF isn't done yet, he has a great deal of work, on the outside.
PF needs forever to be in solitary confinement, without any human contact, from what his thoughts/actions have revealed.

It might, but what will be hard to overcome is the fact that PF himself undermined his OWN defense by trying to sabotage the trial and getting all murdery (again). So no matter what the defense might have done, he was going to undercut it anyway.

reminds me of cw mom\sis spreading.all the stuff supposed to prove their guy is innocent, but he insists he killed them and even twice for the kids. Talk about undermining one's own defense.

If not sooner, as soon as KK saw that crime scene, just as PF left, she should have gone straight to LE for her own protection. LE could have altered LE in Idaho to protect her children and their father until PF was taken into custody. Instead she cleaned up, obliterated evidence, brought him lunch, split a pizza. She went back to Idaho and left a baby in his care. What was she thinking?????
