I think about her every day. I noticed that the only activity at the POI's mother's house was when two people drove up in a cab, looking very furtive, and a pick up backed up in the garage with ramps, as if they were moving. These incidents were about a week apart. This was quite some time ago, about 5 or 6 weeks ago. I really wonder where he's gone. I thought maybe he moved to Missouri or where ever mommy fled to, but someone involved with the case told me they believe he's still in Pueblo. I was hopeful that Kelsie would have been found by now. I pray her family gets closure.

Thanks for being our "boots on the ground", Spamelope! :seeya:

Family of missing pregnant woman holds rally in Pueblo

11:54 AM, Nov 16, 2013

PUEBLO - The family of a missing Denver woman is fighting to keep her story alive.

Kelsie Schelling's family held a rally Saturday in Pueblo, where the 21-year-old pregnant woman disappeared nine months ago.

Colby Schelling, Keslie's brother, says her family won't give up until they find justice.

Schelling says her family gathered for the rally in Pueblo, in an attempt to put pressure on police to continue chasing down leads in Kelsie's disappearance.

Kelsie Schelling was last seen on Feb. 4, 2013. Since then, no one has seen or heard from the 22-year-old.

According to police, Schelling's boyfriend, Dohnte Lucas, asked her to drive down from Denver to Pueblo so the two could discuss the pregnancy.

Police say Lucas was the last person to talk to or see Schelling. Schelling's vehicle was discovered 10 days after her disappearance in a parking lot at a hospital in Pueblo. No one from the hospital had records showing Schelling visited them.

"I know my mind races all the time," Schelling's mother Laura Saxton said. "In my heart I know she's not with us anymore. But I need to have her back in order to find closure."

Lucas has not been cooperative with police. He was arrested shortly after Schelling's disappearance on an identity theft charge. According to police, Lucas used one of Schelling's debit cards without her permission after she disappeared. Lucas was later released.

Since then, there has been no clues and no leads.

Police continue to monitor Lucas. A candle light vigil is scheduled this upcoming Saturday in honor of Schelling.

I rescind my former support of the Pueblo PD. I don't care what they are or aren't doing behind the scenes anymore. The fact that Kelsie's parents have been kept in the dark is unconscionable. It's adding insult to injury. They didn't share info with the public in a timely manner, and people's memories fade after time. Had they shared what they knew at the beginning, perhaps someone would have recalled something. Justice delayed is justice denied. I live in a community with a killer on the loose. I don't like this one bit. It's not fair to anyone here, and especially not to Kelsie and her family. I don't know where DL is. I don't think he's at the family home. The house appears abandoned, except for one elderly person. Could be because a Colorado HP lives next door? I don't know. But I do know that as a taxpayer, I'm very disappointed in our local cops. Do something already. Justice for Kelsie! Please. She and her family deserve nothing less.

Pueblo police are the pits! They've done nothing for Tommy Cook (link below).. We've asked them to add to the crime stoppers page; so far they have not acknowledged us asking.

Wanted to add this for those following Kelsie. Her family posted that there are only 2 authorized sites; that they have nothing to do with other sites/pages. They are talking about another FB page that popped up; link below. I was just there looking at all of the posts; I see her mom has posted there; so I'm confused if they "support" the page or not. It's good that someone has laid out all of the info like that.

There was a piece on kelsie on our "local" news last night. Basically said the story is about to go national but didn't say why or what would prompt attention given to the case now. The mom said she believes Kelsie is dead but wants her brought home for closure.

Probably because of the Dateline story. Dateline is pretty huge

Kelsie's friend Bobbi D said she had had the name Kadrie picked out if she ever had a girl since we were in school together. After she found out she was pregnant she had texted that she hoped it was a girl so she could name her Kadrie. <3

The Dateline story was an online exclusive; so far no plans to bring it on TV. They did a chat session on their FB page yesterday that I missed.

Can't believe she's been missing a year and they can't get anything on this guy to make an arrest. I understand the police position. They know he's involved, yet they can't prove it. They haven't been able to find a body to give them any information.

Better they wait and see what turns up then to jump the gun when they have very little and risk their POI getting away scot free on the Double Jeopardy clause.

It's a waiting game. In the meantime, Kelsie's family waits for news. Seems they pretty much know what the outcome was, just no solid proof yet.
