I have been thinking a lot about Kelsie and the other pregnant missing women cases on WS a lot recently, probably because I'm 4 months pregnant with my first child. I cannot imagine the fear and terror these women (who are all likely deceased) felt as the fought for their lives and the life of their child. I can think of no greater horror. The fact that in most cases - like Kelsie's - the baby's father is the main POI is even more horrific. :(

Congratulations, ktgirl! I agree that it's the worst betrayal for the baby's father to kill the mother. Donthe could have walked away and the family would have gladly filled in for him. Kelsie was prepared to do it without him. I hope that every time he sees a child, a part of him wonders what if. I hope that he is haunted by what he's done.

I've watched this family suffer, from close up and from far away. For a while, I stepped away due to work and discouragement. I really thought that if Kelsie wasn't found in the summer, surely hunters would find her in the fall. That didn't happen. For 16 months, this family has been held hostage in legal limbo. Kelsie's mom, Laura, doesn't cling to false fantasies that Kelsie ran off somewhere. She accepts the fact that her baby girl and grandchild are dead. But she has no grave to visit, or ashes to scatter. Her grief has no ending, no closure. And the most maddening thing is that everyone knows who the guilty party is. Until they find a body, no charges will be filed. It's archaic, but they've stated that. Right now, many people are even more discouraged since the Lea Porter case has resulted in charges even though her body hasn't been found yet. So, please, please, sleuth this case some more. Go back and read the old posts and see if there's something that we missed. Revisit the Help Find Kelsie facebook page. Thanks. You guys are the best.

I just read all 17 pages. How horrible and frustrating for the family to know that guilty party is going on about life.

Sierra Lamar case is being prosecuted w/o a body and they are going for the death penalty. What I just finished reading is unbelievable; video, her possessions in his possession, text messages, etc. makes me angry.

I believe the death penalty is being used as leverage to get that "person" to tell them where Sierra's remains are. I sure wish the DA would do that here, as well.

This is a really deep and powerful post.

I don't know how they even know where to search any more. The person responsible is without a soul, and Kelsie and her baby could be anywhere, even hundreds of miles away. Unless someone just stumbles upon Kelsie, or unless the person responsible (or his cohorts), 'fess up, I'm not feeling good about it.

What does this 🤬🤬🤬 eat for breakfast? What time does he take a dump? What time do any potential accomplices take a dump? What do they eat for breakfast? I think you guys know what I'm getting at.

Well, folks, once again, I have no good news to report. Today we searched an area near the Pueblo Reservoir. About 25-30 people showed up. It was heartbreaking to watch Laura dig through tumbleweed 3 feet deep with a rake looking for her baby girl. She should not have to do this! They could arrest the guilty party, and say it's a death penalty case, but that they'll drop the DP if he says where she is. The PD and the DA's office need to get off their butts and do something. Anything. One ray of hope I have is that Laura is very close to calling Texas Equusearch. I almost didn't let her leave town without doing it today, but she promised me she will give them a call. lol Hopefully, they will agree to take the case. Please keep this family in your prayers- they can use all the positive thoughts sent their way.

Bless you for helping Kelsie's family. I can't imagine watching a mother search for her child. Have the police agreed for TES to come search? Sometimes that's the problem and I think this LE group has given up.

Thank you, Sophie, it's heartbreaking to watch her. I can't imagine knowing she's doing it alone. Rumor has it the police are okay with TES searching. I hope this is true, because the police sure aren't doing anything to my knowledge. I know that the public isn't privy to info on active investigations, but the way they've treated the Schelling/Saxton family is criminal.

This is Dakota. He is one of the searchers. He's not an Search and Rescue dog, but he's wonderful nonetheless. He was rewarded for his labors by being allowed to roll around on a dead fish after a swim in the reservoir. I love him.
PS He is wearing a "Help Find Kelsie" keychain on his collar. :)

This seems to be one of those cases where the prosecutor may have to have to guts to go ahead with a no body, purely circumstantial case. I would vote guilty just from what we know.

I sure hope the find Kelsie soon. Her mom needs the closure and the POI needs to be in jail!
