it looks like bags of soil..... I am wondering if there was a fire pit back there..... when the POI lived there....

I don't think LE would mind? That link is our local news paper. It's literally in our newspaper. So..

Hi, guys, I came to the library so I could post about the new search, but you folks beat me to it. My phone is faulty, and my wifi is pilfered, so it has come to this. lol. Margarita, I tried answering you weeks ago, and it was a study in frustration-it kept eating my messages. I wanted to say that I think the items found in the search at granny's had to be the items missing from Kelsie's car. Her keys, a chain that has "love" on it, a teddybear, a rosary, and a picture frame. Her phone has never been found, either. All those items would have fit in those small bags. I think where they're searching today is the area where the cadaver dogs hit. That info was in the lawsuit, so I don't feel bad sharing it here. The area is filled with tumbleweed, and the police wanted to burn it out, but Laura didn't want them to do that at the time. It is right off of the Beulah Highway, sw of Manor Ridge. It is also close to the area where Donthe and Kelsie met up that horrible evening. A living Kelsie was never at the Walmart itself.
I just wanted to reiterate that the Pueblo PD would love nothing more than to arrest Donthe again. The biggest obstacle, to me, has been a DA that is reluctant to prosecute without a body. The PD did make errors, but it was stupidity, and not cronyism, racism, or any other ism, IMHO. I want to add that the grandmother's house had been searched before, as has Donthe's former home, and Lake Minnequa at least 3-4 times. With sonar. I am so hopeful that Laura will finally get closure. I have to admit, I loved hearing that Donthe had a "Telltale Heart" moment. I think his conscience is eating away at him. Tick tock, Donthe!

According to KOAA news search isn't over. They lost a tire on the back hoe so the search is probably just ending for the day.

This person has inserted herself into the case. If you have a chance, check out her videos. It's sad and maddening. Maddening because she's walking around us as a free agent, diverting police from their jobs with her delusions, when she should be either jailed or hospitalized. Oops, sorry, wrong video. There's another one where the person claims Donthe was set up by the police. It's like Jodi Arias, Casey Anthony, John Hinckley and Mark David Chapman all rolled up in one. That this person is walking around is another example of the DA not doing his job.

Honestly she just seems mentally ill if you watch her videos and read the comments....also google her and it seems she has taken half the town to court lol.

Oh, I did look into her. I saw one of her daughter's missing posters and removed it when I saw our sheriff and DAs names as 2 of the 30 "kidnappers." She is very mentally ill, but I don't think she's harmless. From Oprah to Hickenlooper, I think they're in danger when she snaps.

(Not to deraIl this thread....) I don't want to sound like an 🤬🤬🤬 in case her daughter is missing but is that even a real missing person? I googled the name and came up with nothing besides her YouTube. I also checked Namus and nothing.

Edited to say....after a little searching I see she lost custody of her child due to mental illness and a family member has her. But she thinks it's some big conspiracy by the DA?

Also oprah(yes oprah) is flying drones over her house and has keys to her house. So um that's that.

"Monday’s search appeared to focus on a low-lying cropping of trees in an area about a mile west of the home investigators searched two weeks ago.

A Pueblo police spokesperson told Denver7 crews started digging at 8 a.m. and will work throughout the day, and possibly into Tuesday.

The police spokesperson said close to 12 people were working at the site Monday, and that police had received permission to search the land from its owner and developer.

Police have so far on Monday not said if they have found anything new in their latest search, and did not say what led crews to that area Monday."

From the above link:

"Search continues in Pueblo open space for Kelsie Schelling

The digging happened in the southwest part of Pueblo on Sudbery*Drive, the same area where Schelling’s ex-boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, used to live.

Lucas, a person of interest in the case, lived about a mile from where the open space crews were digging.

“Right now I’m feeling sad because, we didn’t have any luck again today,” said Laura Saxton, Kelsie’s mother.

Crews dug along a dry creek bed, lifting tumbleweeds to the side and seeing if anything was underneath, but nothing was found."

My heart breaks for Kelsie's mom. :( So hoping for a resolution for her...

"Saxton*says she just wants to bring her little girl home.

“Obviously as time goes by, that hope dims more and more and I really can’t imagine spending the rest of my life living like this,” said Saxton.

Though she may not feel strong all the time, it wont stop her. She hopes this message gets to Kelsie.

“Kelsie I just love and miss you so much. I talk to her all the time and I just wish she could somehow find a way, even if it’s in a dream or whatever, some sign, just give us a sign of where we can find her and bring her home
and bringing that part of this nightmare to an end,”*said Saxton."

More digging!

http://www.kktv.com/content/news/De...clues-in-Kelsie-Schelling-case-420927443.html

Law enforcement are continuing their search for clues in the Kelsie Schelling case, and have shifted their search to undeveloped land on the west end of Pueblo

It seems the article was updated to say nothing was found? Seems like a quick search if it's over....

Additionally:

"For Schelling's emotionally exhausted mother, it was another difficult day in four years full of them.

"It's always really hard when we get done with the search, don't have any results, so it's kind of a hard moment right now. Hard drive home today," Laura Saxton said.

The undeveloped land is 1 mile from the former home of Schelling's ex-boyfriend Donthe Lucas, which was the*subject of a multi-day search*last month. The land is located on the 1600 block of Savannah Avenue, behind the Regency neighborhood.

The area has been searched before except for the specific spot law enforcement searched Monday."
